Well, Joffrey wants to go to war against northeners, Daenerys is still wondering through desert, Cercei is in full lioness mode, putting Littlefinger to his place, the crows have moved beyond the wall and there are 5 kings in one kingdom.

As for the PAX panel, nothing, they did not adress the endings, just like they said.

Silver lining: GoT is still awesome

That it is. I hope they make season 3, I'd love to see the Hound-Arya-road trip with these actors.

I think season 3 is extremly likely, unless something like what happens with Rome goes down.

That's because EA hasn't initiated a hostile takeover of George R. R. Martin yet.

My stomach just ran cold... why would you say that?!?!

Oh come on, Martin has HBO backing him up now, and HBO has enough female nudity to win any war, let alone to keep EA out. Nothing to worry about there :P

We are are nothing without you. We are listening to everything you are saying. We aren't going to do an actual damn thing about, but we still thank you for your support.

Heck yeah ! I actually already bought the retail version of The Witcher 2 to go nicely alongside my GOG version of it just to show my support to CD PROJECT RED. And MP3 looks good.

And i wont be taking my custom over to BW anym more. I rather give my hard earned money to CD PROJECT who actaully treats me like someone of value, and not some entitled little snotnosed brat .

*cringes a bit* It's a nice sentiment...except they announced, in a live stream yesterday, that anyone who bought a copy of TW2 'anywhere' (or something to that effect) will get a 'free backup' at gog.com. (along w/ the announcement that the 10GB enhanced edition update will be available for pre-download on the 11th, I think)
Oh well, I am still thinking of getting a physical copy of TW2 (I only have the gog.com digital deluxe or whatever), so I guess it's ok...

So take heart my fellow liners.  This is an amazingly good thing.  I'll be happy to reply to comments/disagreements here.. enjoy the rest of your day!

I'm not that optimistic but I do agree with your view here... it could have been a lot worse.

This whole experience has left me so emotionally dead that I'm not too torn up about the bad Q and A that much at all.

I've been up and down.. I've become a cynical angry person since this started... but I couldn't get upset at this.. I work in the development field so these guys speak my language, and, from my position, this was a GOOD thing.  Even the 'probletunity' comment was great.. we call them that at work too, it's an annoying "Turn a problem into something great" 'synergy' thing haha.  These guys were siding with us to a point, they understand our anger, they're understanding where we're coming from, they were polite, they gotta realize that a lot of the people in that room were not happy with them.. just remember the "PEACEEEEE" yelling, completely spontaneous response to a question that I betcha they didn't expect.

I suspect that some of the rumors surrounding the Q&A will be cleared up when people post their videos outside the session. Then we will have proof either way. Then we decide whether to light the torches or not.

I am not questioning or approving things he said or did, but I saw several reports about it, which had similarities. That's not about politics though.

I think they've proven that the are doing something about it. We don't know how much of our feedback will be reflected but they are doing something and that's a start.

Anyone else in here that wants to get drunk right now because they feel sad and betrayed ?
I know i do. And i haven't had a drop of alcohol in 5 years. Way to go BW, way to go.

Hells to the yes. Probably mix some drinks later tonight. :pinched:

Please try not to feel so badly about this, we've had an impact, they are listening. Time will tell us how they choose to implement it but we weren't brushed off tonight and while people weren't able to ask the questions that we wanted answered it's not really surprising. This whole thing has gotten everybody very tense and very passionate about whichever opinion they happen to hold. They couldn't have afforded for that to get out of control at PAX. Stay strong and take heart in the fact that they're listening enough to be implementing changes.

Oh, I'm not terribly dis-heartened. More disappointed then anything. I understand that BioWare had to play it somewhat safe. Doesn't change the fact the the questions were silly, and the few answers that had relevance were clouded with secrecy.

Youve made some good points and I hope you are correct. Perhaps Bioware did just back themselves into a corner, ran out of time and now all this frustrating PR speak and crap talk we've been getting for the last 4 weeks is just their attempt to stall for time so they can finally complete the game.

If only....

Well we wanted them to finish it, we all said it would take another 6 months to get it right, they're taking another 6 months, don't see how we can fault them for at least, if not directly, saying they are fixing it.

Good, that's precisely what we should do.
We need to hold our lines, need to keep pressure on. Though being realistic and skipping wrong accusations.
We need the result and it needs force and time, efforts.

Thank you, Computim. Thank you very much. This is a good view of what we just had at PAX.

Nope, thats the dreamers view.

Dream in one hand, crap in the other, see which one fills up first.

Reactions like that post just show how easily people are swindled by snake oil salesmen into believing things.

EA/BW lied right up to the ME3 ship date, and they've done nothing to prove they arent lying more now.  They've insulted and talked down to their customer base and ignored the real issues presented before them.

Why some of you are so convinced they've "gone good" all of a sudden is beyond me.  There's far more proof to this point that they are liars and thieves than that they are good little choir boys.

PAX only proved they are still dodging the issues, and there was nothing "good" to take away from it.

This is my personal opinion but if we light torches we risk getting nothing. Civility and constructive feedback has been the key to getting this far, it will be the key to moving forward as well.
