As far as "living in a naive world" where art is static, that's not what I was insinuating at all.  Art can be changed, but at the discression of the artist.  You don't see too many movies come out, bomb, and then the directors go back and change the movie to make it more palatable for the audience.  That's it! Maybe the retake movement just isn't setting its scope wide enough.  It shouldn't stop at ME3.  Maybe it could expand to other games, and even other forms of media!  Movies, music, hell..Even books!  Why not?  

First, apologies for being a bit snark or hostile in my last post. Was taking a bit of frustration out on you unwarranted when you have actually been fairly respectful in your arguments. And oh I fully agree that said example artist should get the final say on what his or her project is. However that INCLUDES making alterations in order to address criticism or make the product more desirable for fans or customers. This is not breech of artistic integrity. Its their art or product and they can do what they want with it. However this does not protect them from the consequences, again especially once you get away from self expression and into the realm of product making.

And fan backlashes are far from unheard up. This happens usually with long running series that actually have a high quality overall but make some (in the fans opinions) terrible decisions at some point. Arthur Conan Doyle brought back Sherlock Holmes after killing him off due to fan unhappiness. Some of the best known SH stories would come AFTER the retcon, such as the Hound of the Baskervilles. In movies while they usually don't change then re release in theatres, they do often change or re edit for Directors Cut or Extended edition DVDs. In video games there's the example of Fallout 3 and Broken Steel.

EA/BW lied right up to the ME3 ship date, and they've done nothing to prove they arent lying more now.  They've insulted and talked down to their customer base and ignored the real issues presented before them.

Why some of you are so convinced they've "gone good" all of a sudden is beyond me.  There's far more proof to this point that they are liars and thieves than that they are good little choir boys.

PAX only proved they are still dodging the issues, and there was nothing "good" to take away from it.

Can you provide a bullet point list of what you want please?

Well we wanted them to finish it, we all said it would take another 6 months to get it right, they're taking another 6 months, don't see how we can fault them for at least, if not directly, saying they are fixing it.

Also, they can't say what they are doing in details because I don't think even they know what they are going to do yet. We need to give them time, tell them what we want, and make sure they hear us this time.

The fact that they are taking a lot of time to do this proves they are taking this seriously.

We watched the live text feed from the Bioware Panel at PAX. They spoke a little bit about the extended cut dlc but then moved onto parts of the game that people enjoyed before answering some non-confrontational questions.

I'd like to believe that the extended ending will be sufficient to explain away all the plotholes. It'll be free, as it should be. Still not buying any DLC or anything at all from EA or Bioware until I'm happy with this ending though.

Thank god for Terraria's wonderfully open-ended gameplay. I'ma get my hamdrax, blow up a world or two, and try to come up with something suitably awesome to build. Maybe a giant Marauder Shields....

right now i dont know what to beleve, BW avoided questions and avoided answering some.

some of the ones asked they tried to deflect like the indoc theory one, when they tried to deflect that it became obvious thats what they were planning from the start.

now toss in that in nearly all there answers they kept talking about extending and expanding the cinimatics / cut scenes that right there tell's me that what we ALL came up with totally fell inline with future DLC.

now remember that in an interview on forbes (i think) that the DLC schduale was massivly re-orgonised so that we get all the MP DLC first and that the SP DLC is to be released in the summer.

well all the MP DLC was supposed to have been put out after SP DLC but now we actually worked out there plans they had to do something and then put the blame on us.

in a way we did get what we wanted BUT NOT ENOUGH.
all we wanted was a 4th ending / option but now its gone into a full blown DLC so i think something has either went ****** up or went epic crazxy on the button

Look at what we have achieved:
We split the game reviewing industry in two, gained the support of not just gaming sites, but even political sites in our campaign against them
We gave nearly $100,000 dollars to those who needed it.
We managed to shake EAs cold, heartless core, dropping their stocks when they should have been rising.
We have united over 60,000 people to our cause, sent tens of thousands of letters to Bioware in mail-campaigns, we even sent the undeserving little buggers cupcakes.

You look at all that and tell me we didn't strike them hard. Now think: it's not over, even if we end up losing the support of some of the sites, we still have strength. If any of you are fighting only for yourself, shame on you, this isn't about what we want, this is about the future of not just the franchise, not just Bioware and EA, but the future of gaming itself. If we fail, we set back the evolution of the gaming industry entire years. THAT is why mustn't stop, 'cause I don't want to tell my children when they grow up that the games they're playing are f**ked up pieces of nuclear refuse because we gave in to a man in a suit. I don't want to watch as hundreds of other developers turn around and realise that they can get away with this s**t because we couldn't stop one company from doing it.

THAT is why we need everyone, EVERYTHING we can possibly get on our side, that is why you all need to get everyone and anyone you know who is even a little bit dis-satisfied with this and get them in our numbers. We are no longer messing around with one franchise, the world is watching, and the results will govern what happens to the future of this once-great industry.

I am a bit concerned about the reports, BUT, they did what they announced they would and did not touch the end. I was mildly surprised they addressed as much as they did. And of course the filter questions. Most Q& A works that way.

BUT, asking people to leave etc. etc., we don't know the context. Were these people saying inappropriate things? Or just wearing a shirt the got them flagged. We don't know...
