I don't get the hostility from some pro-enders. The "OPTIONAL" DLC is just that, so need to cause such a scene now that us Re-takers are *fingers crossed* getting partially what we want - it could be a decent compromise and the IT is still alive
So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Nope, thats the dreamers view.
Dream in one hand, crap in the other, see which one fills up first.
Reactions like that post just show how easily people are swindled by snake oil salesmen into believing things.
EA/BW lied right up to the ME3 ship date, and they've done nothing to prove they arent lying more now. They've insulted and talked down to their customer base and ignored the real issues presented before them.
Why some of you are so convinced they've "gone good" all of a sudden is beyond me. There's far more proof to this point that they are liars and thieves than that they are good little choir boys.
PAX only proved they are still dodging the issues, and there was nothing "good" to take away from it.
I gotta agree with you, Bioware is pulling some of the oldest tricks in the book and people are actually falling for it. It's too bad really...
Same question for you then: Could you provide a bullet point list of what you want please?

Yeah, I don't understand it either. Maybe it's some sort of psychotic schadenfreude going on. Either way, optional DLC doesn't have to affect your ending if you don't want it to. It's just very strange.

I accidenly cut off the original poster's name if that's what you mean, but GoT = Game of Thrones, which is a series notorious for fan anguish and outrage. I just found it funny that it was offered as a silver lining to this situation.I just tought there might be some piece of info I didn't know, and there was, sinfe I have zero touch with GoT fandom, I just love the books and series.
So what kind of fan anguis and outrage?

I'm still holding my wallet until this DLC drops. That's my right as a customer and until I actually see it drop I'm not buying EA merch.. however I'm hopeful here that this will be a lesson in monumental PR screwups and design processes and they'll come out of this having learnt a valuable lesson.
So take heart my fellow liners. This is an amazingly good thing. I'll be happy to reply to comments/disagreements here.. enjoy the rest of your day!
QFT. I think the best course right now is to keep our expectations tempered, remain civil, and try (though admittedly, it is hard) to keep an open mind to what's coming in the summer.

Indeed.
Some of them are acting more entitled than they claim we are.
In any case, keep your heads in the game, channel that rage into something else, don't give into the bloodrage.
Or as Grunt would say: Fury is your choice, not an illness!
Hold the line.

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, but I'm disappointed nobody asked about Joker, the Normandy, or how our squad managed to get aboard before Shepard set off the catalyst.

I'm impressed that you've managed to stay so calm after this. Personally I don't really know what I was expecting from Bioware at PAX, but what we got still got me angry. I'm just chanelling it out by making bad jokes. Hearing another comment from a Bioware employee will probably get me riled up all over again though.

Is this the best place to try and rile a united cause? No
Was PAX exactly what we wanted? No
Was it what most of us probably expected? Yes
Looking forward to the summer! Will probably pick up the free MP DLC as it's fun to waste a few hours but will probably not pick up any paid dlc if there is any before the Extended Cut
