I don't get the hostility from some pro-enders. The "OPTIONAL" DLC is just that, so need to cause such a scene now that us Re-takers are *fingers crossed* getting partially what we want - it could be a decent compromise and the IT is still alive :)

Hope you get to see this.

The logic is this. Even with optional DLC that they don't have to get, the fact that it EXISTS bothers them. To them no other options should be available, we should just accept what is before us and nothing more. Optinal endings ruin their game.

The question is this though what is the meaning of mutiple endings? Having various outcomes that differ from person to person, where no 1 or 2 are the same. Where you can share your story with another and see what he or she got. Where replay value is very high (16 diffrent endings right?) and you can have 15 more vastly different outcomes.

However this isn't even something that should be allowed to them. Their endings are the only ones that matter, and no matter if the others are download by choice only, the fact that we have them sends a bad message. It means their story is obsolete and that these endings ruin it. It's a choice though, so nothing is lost in their conclusive arc or story.

Explain how that makes sense because I sure as heck can't.

lol, sorry for snipping your name off :) Depending on how far you've read, there are various points of "no...No... NOOOOOMFG!!!!" but people were pretty venomous over the time it took for the last one, and then what was actually delivered (though I remain a fan; keep writing GRRM and take care of your health!). It's a good parallel to this situation, really.

I have read all the books, actually even before the series. Lol'd big time when they cast Sean Bean as Ned Stark.
I've never had problem with Martin killing half of the characters and making the living one's lives miserable, since that's the mood he has set from the beginning, and no one can argue his plot twists are illogical.

AND it may help I really only care about Arya and Hound

I think we should all calm down and express what we don't want in this extended ending now more than ever, since they're in the begining stages yet.

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, but I'm disappointed nobody asked about Joker, the Normandy, or how our squad managed to get aboard before Shepard set off the catalyst.

They wouldn't have answered had anyone asked, it'll be included in the extended cut presumably since so many people have commented on it.

Yes, this is true. I'm just tired of waiting, is all. Joker running away was the most baffling thing about a baffling ending. I guess we'll just have to see then.

Yes.

Keep calm, tell them what we want, and give them time to make it.
Rushing them won't get us anywhere, and going silent won't help us either.

Hang tough, lads, now's the time to keep our numbers, they did exactly as expected, there wasn't much chance of getting anything from them there, even they have no f**king idea what the hell they are doing right now. What we need to do is keep our numbers high, get more numbers, and continue to flood them. Now is our last chance to win, so let's not waste it with "but EA said...", now is the time to show them we are still as furious as we always have been. I don't expect them to do whatever we say, mind you, I don't expect a banker to give me a loan so I can get a house, that doesn't mean I sit at my doorstep in tears, it means that I don't stop, because it's only when we give up that we lose. Look at what we have achieved:

We split the game reviewing industry in two, gained the support of not just gaming sites, but even political sites in our campaign against them

We gave nearly $100,000 dollars to those who needed it.

We managed to shake EAs cold, heartless core, dropping their stocks when they should have been rising.

We have united over 60,000 people to our cause, sent tens of thousands of letters to Bioware in mail-campaigns,

we even sent the undeserving little buggers cupcakes.

You look at all that and tell me we didn't strike them hard. Now think: it's not over, even if we end up losing the support of some of the sites, we still have strength. If any of you are fighting only for yourself, shame on you, this isn't about what we want, this is about the future of not just the franchise, not just Bioware and EA, but the future of gaming itself. If we fail, we set back the evolution of the gaming industry entire years. THAT is why mustn't stop, 'cause I don't want to tell my children when they grow up that the games they're playing are f**ked up pieces of nuclear refuse because we gave in to a man in a suit. I don't want to watch as hundreds of other developers turn around and realise that they can get away with this s**t because we couldn't stop one company from doing it.

THAT is why we need everyone, EVERYTHING we can possibly get on our side, that is why you all need to get everyone and anyone you know who is even a little bit dis-satisfied with this and get them in our numbers. We are no longer messing around with one franchise, the world is watching, and the results will govern what happens to the future of this once-great industry.

Hold the line!

what we have done is send the entire game developing world a wake up call.

we were being watched by people from a tiny fanblog right upto financal and political institutions that have power.

we were also watched by nearly every major game developer.

what we are doing is making all the game companys wake up and relise that were not "entitled brats" but and actual community of people from diffrent backgrounds.
we have people here from diffrent religions
we have people who have diffrent skin colour
we have people here who are from diffrent nationaltys
we have people who are in diffrent age groups

what we have is a multinational, multicultrual community who have all came togeather for a proven worthwhile cause, a cause that we have spent hundreds of hours working on and we have all grown emtionaly to our shepard.

so emtionaly have we grown some of us actually cried when mordin and legion gave there life to save lifes.
and if the story went the other way some of us cried when tali killed herself.

we are people who care for what we do even tho we all know its a game we still cared for the charators in it on an emtional level.

so yes we have done much much more than we ever expected.

just think, we might be the start of a brand new gaming revolution and not even know it, a revolution where the gamers have a say in the development of games

Okay, guys.
My appreciations to everyone and every opinion here.
However, my side is with Computim.

Keep holding, hold patience, be patient towards BW.
They have VA, writers, designers working for the EC DLC.

Be civil and prove that you want to see new and good from the ME3, if your goal is to get this ending changed\\extended or whatever you call it.

See you all later, People.

As I said, realistic fantasy series. A rare treat in high fantasy genre, though I guess GoT is really more dark fantasy. And tbh, it's the first fantasy series, I'm familiar with, which took about 3 books before the first fantasy element was introduced ;)

There is another thread where the conspiracies are already flying, it's sad to see, a couple of bad apples and the whole barrel rots.

Well for my part I have sent a message to Chris Priestly saying that I appreciated that they were in a difficult position, that I am keeping my fingers crossed for the dlc and that I appreciate the fact that they as a team are taking the time to listen to us.

A little positive reenforcement never hurt anyone Image IPB

I'm impressed that you've managed to stay so calm after this. Personally I don't really know what I was expecting from Bioware at PAX, but what we got still got me angry. I'm just chanelling it out by making bad jokes. Hearing another  comment from a Bioware employee will probably get me riled up all over again though.

Just remember that letting yourself get riled up isn't going to do anything but stress you out. I know it's hard and frustrating but this isn't something that will change overnight. We have to give them the benefit of the doubt because they're the only ones who can affect the changes we're hoping for and they won't listen to anger.

Nothing. They said pretty much what the FAW for the DLC said, they didn't touch the subject of the end much.
The rest of the questions were about other aspects of the game.

So, your generic Q & A session with a Game-Dev under pressure. Of course we all had a bit of hope that they would go into more details, answer more questions and such, but that didn't happen, so many are disappointed, many angry and a few rare gems are deilishly excited that we didn't get any news.

Looks like summer it is then.

Hope still lives I think, I know PAX may have not exactly have turned up the results we all wanted, but i guess there's only so much they can say at this stage...

I'm hoping IT is true i think from now on, as I think it has the best chance of saving their bacons, because its the only way i can see that allows for the endings we got to still exist, and for any hope of continuation from where we were dumped off. can't see how there can be possibly any further cinematic scenes that can create a more personalised ending for each player when nothing good can come of any of the endings currently given....

Stay hopeful people :) It will be tough, but we gotta be there for each other for the duration of this long ol' slog its gonna be between now and summer
