So we can't get the ending we want after all?

I am willing to accept this extended ending only if it fills in the plot holes about why starchild cant use citadel relay in ME1, why joker was running and if it gives us lots more closure about what just happened.
It still doesn't address the fact that everyone will still starve at Earth, but I just need something to show that Bioware still cares about it's fans and that this was just one big mistake, not a quick way to finish the series on a whim by EA.
Well, at least somone tweeted that no one will starve to death, but thats just for starters. Everyone should think of the angry joe show top ten reasons the endings are hated and in theory (considering what we know about what the dlc will do now) the best case scenario is that 7 or 8/10 of these reasons could potentialy be removed, will that be enough?
The problem is that a detail as important as "they don't starve" needs to be in the game, not tweeted.

God, your posts are so optimistic... I just can't get my hopes up for some reason. The devs have screwed me so much over the course of years that I've lost the ability to trust a single word they say. I'm hoping you're right, but my emprical experience disallows me to believe that.
Well in my world the procedure for getting new software is:Take this to Bioware:
- Someone asks if they can have something made that 'automates' or allows them to do something.
- Management takes said idea, crafts it into "Probletunities" ie: Problems that become opportunities.
- Management comes to IT (me) and asks for technical feasibility and eta on new software that has no detail about what the original person wanted in it.
- I, knowing enough based off what they did tell me, then go to the original person and ask them what they need in the product, and then go back and build management the product and pitch it with "It also does this and this" (the original person's requests)... Management loves the extra feature capabilities that they forgot entirely about and heaps praise on me for having the foresight to add in features not asked for (I'm so awesome).
Hence joy
- We tell bioware's managers that we hate their ending.
- Bioware's managers go "But the critics loved it.. all 75 of them"
- We boycott them.. Managers go "Oh crap.. tell IT to fix it.." then go tell IT their new probletunity (see where this is going?)
We're getting more and more upset that IT keeps giving us nothing of what we asked for... .well now IT (the producers and designers) have a direct link to us.. so they know exactly what we want, and, it seems, they actually agree with us on a lot of it.
I'm sceptical due to the fact that they are still saying that they don't want to damage the game's "artistic integrity," hence they won't change the ending. I can't begin to think how they intend to fix/expand on these endings that are extremely hard to swallow.
The content has to be at least an hour long, which is almost impossible given the amount of time and resources it would need, which is why I'm still not holding my breath. However, it's great that there are people like you around to spread the positivity, or a few of us would've already commited e-suicide by now with all the "dark energy" around.
I loved the game. I still love it and hold it as the one of the best and most emotional games I've played right next to MGS3 and 4, but the ending left me hollow. All I want is a conclusion HALF as good as MGS series...

Don't forget they didn't count out the indoctrination theory today. I really wish I could link previous posts on here. Basically they didn't laugh and say "You guys are crazy" when asked about it. They made the following comment:
"The indoctrination theory illustrates again how, um, committed the fanbase is..." don't want to comment either way. Don't want to be prescriprive -- fans interpret their own way, plus DLC coming. "We want the content to speak for itself, and we'll let it do so"
Which, speaking as a developer, kinda screams "We're not calling it the IT." if that makes sense

Step 2- Adding new gameplay to current endings (we dont really want, but they are nearly at this stage)
Step 3- New endings.
Hold that line guys =)

Rules are the threads have to be on topic.. I'm leaving doesn't have anything to do with the mass effect 3 story and campaign.

Also, when they lock it, they say that there are many other threads with similar topic about the ending...aka this thread.

Don't worry. I've been here for hours reading the posts. I remember that post you mentioned. It caught the eyes of many posters including me. I really wish the IT was true. Though it's highly unlikely.

Many forums have a official welcomes/introductions thread, how about they sticky a goodbye thread
