well btt: for me personaly i would absolutly LOVE to see an ending like this
okok the part about the crew stranding on an random planet makes me quite sad but just think about the other part for a second
it's, just like bioware pointed out about a million times, an all out galactic war against a ridiculously overpowered race of machines that were able to repetitively wipe out all life in the whole galaxy
if u want to break free from a cicle of this magnitude there will be huge sacrifices even if you do everything right

Priestly will probably lock this thread. But I hope all this "Shepard will die no matter what, or IF he lives, he will never see any of his partners again" is just misinformation.
For those who want a "bittersweet ending", that WOULD be fair enough if not at the cost of forcing the ones who want a "sugar with honey sweet" this bittersweet c*ap down their throaths.
I'll reserve judgement 'till the end of next week.
Just a tip to Bioware: displeasing 99% of their fans isn't a good way of making future profit.
Oh so he will lock this well they better get the cuffs ready cause this place is going to be hell come next week.

I like the fact that because BioWare doesn't do the usual ****ty heroic/generic/boring ending they are bad story teller. My brain would say otherwise.

I'm not believing anything until I see the final credits roll (and beyond) and BioWare proves to me that they are bs-ing us.
oh its real and the gates of hell are going to open and Bioware is going to fall into it . This time they will get the message they should have learned from DA 2 . Oh and about Mass Effect ever being on the level of Star Wars and Star Trek . I got news for you Bioware it will be a cold day in hell before this franchise ever reaches that level .

I would argue if this kind of ending is innovative either. And with all this sacrifaces going on i would classify it as heroic.
Just horriblly extravagantly tragic

Oh you do not understand tthis . Allow me to explain it to you . I am not looking for no sunshine or happy ending . but I dam sure do not like the fact the 3 flashbacks that shepard has and one contains the LI from ME 1 . Are you kidding me all the money this company has and they can not add in the ME 2 LI to that .

I was prepared to be forced to see Shepard have to make the ultimate sacrifice to save the galaxy. I wouldn't have liked it but I was prepared for it. I was even prepared to see the Normandy and crew die, or Earth be a devastated ruin. I wasn't prepared for what they did to the galactic civilization.
The ending makes me feel like everything Shepard and co. did, all they sacrificed, was for nothing. These endings don't count as victory. It's just trading one horrible fate (the Reapers) for another one (the collapse of civilization)
Did you expect that anything less would stop a force that controled a cycle of galactic extinction for millenia? They BUILT Civilzation as everyone knew it and left it for people follow like rats to a trap. Of course ending them would mean losing what was made for us.
Yes, actually. Eveything we've heard from Bioware is that in ME3 Shepard unites the galaxy and defeats the Reapers. All the leaks (script, Space Edition, whatever) said that what Shepard finds on Mars is uniquely suited to stopping them. Nowhere does it say "btw, hope you're ready to say goodbye to what you're fighting for."
As for anything the Reapers made being evil, ME1 tells us that's not the case. The Protheans on Ilos cracked the secret of mass relays and made the Conduit. The Conduit allowed Saren to bypass Citadel defenses for Sovereign, but it also allowed Shepard to get to the Citadel to stop Sovereign. Thus the Conduit, a device reverse engineered from Reaper technology, has no inherent ethical bias. It's only how it's used that's important.

Pretty much what you said, OP.
In short:
BW told us, the endings won't make everybody happy.
Truth is: the endings will make everybody sad.
And that, fellow fans, is the only truth here. Lets shove that down their throat.

You not liking it only reinforces the notion of the ending being quite acceptable after all.
