Gather round round Children for a tale of loss and woe. Bought a copy of ME1 Xbox ate it (laser scratched disk) took it back got a new one Xbox ate it again bought a third copy that got ate. Bought a new Xbox (Got a launch console so it was buggy as all hell).
Finally bought the fabled 4th copy and I have that copy to this day and the Xbox never ate a disk again.

It's not a problem for me, any time I try to play I last around 5 minutes and have to shut it down, I'm not motivated because I know anything I do does not matter in the end, I cannot play any of the ME series, and for some odd reason I cannot get up the enthusiasm to play my other RPGs, best I can play at the moment is "Let's play golf 2"Alamar2078 wrote...
For those folks that want to "hold the line" or "hold the wallet" or similar I would respectfully ask that you not play anything in the ME series. When you login to BW servers they will probably count you as a happy & returning customer. If enough people don't login the beancounters may reconsider their earlier positions about just adding "clarification & closure".

EDIT: 1982?!Dude, that's like...I wasn't even born.
I was 12
I loved my Commodore64 back then........
I was...it took me almost 10 years to be born lol
My first video game was a Mega Drive and I loved that thing, even though my mom played it for me while I watched (I was about 4)
The ending of those old school games were still better than ME3 endings...

seriously, at this point how can you believe a word that comes out of Bioware's mouth...I am trading in ME3 to get Witcher 2 enhanced om 4/17, and will reassess ME3 this summer and IF something makes me want to play again I will buy a 30.00 used copy of it...that way I CAN vote with my wallet and keep my options open too...I can say with 100% certainty I will never preorder another Bioware game though

I didn't had time to respond back then, but i just want to say good job with your analisys of the Q&A.
You just gave me even more hope that the ending will be fixed and we will all be laughing at this when this is all over.
You are a valuable asset to our army.

ET (The game) had a better ending than Mass Effect 3.
LOL that game had an end?
Wait... There was an ET GAME?

My old one is like a year old, it replaced my original month purchased one that rrod'd last year. My current one is a new slim that Microsoft gave me to beta test. It's sooo much quieter than the white jet engine version.

It's a very clever move by BioWare. They wont fully admit their choice of ending was poor and flat refuse to change it based on "artistic integrity", but will add a few extra cut-scenes at the end.
This way it looks like they've took the unprecedented step of acting on fan feedback. That way when the fans still complain, it will be the fans that will look stupid and BioWare will get all the sympathy. Good PR damage-control guys. This way you wont have to fully fix the limited crappy endings, like we hoped, and no matter what, you'll come up smelling like roses. Good job.
Ah well, looks like I'll be trading it in after all.
I didn't want just a few extra cut-scenes. I wanted to tell the Star-child to shove his logic right up Harbinger's rectal cavity, but no, we're still just getting the choice of the different coloured explosions.
Based on what's been said about the extended-cut, it just seems like another smoke-screen and an empty gesture.
I don't see how a few extra cut-scenes are going to make those endings any better.
I think I'm done with Bioware now. After Dragon Age 2, KOTOR being made a MMORPG, the last 10 mins of Mass Effect 3 and the way they're handling the backlash to the ME3 ending, it's, sadly, time to move on.
Thanks for: Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Star Wars: KOTOR, Dragon Age Origins, ME 1 & 2.
So many happy gaming memories, but you've run your course. The spark isn't there anymore.

See, when I was 4, my mom would beat the final boss and I would cry of happiness and sadness that it was over...that is what I call bittersweet.
...now that I think about this, the image above reminds me of that datapad...except it doesn't tell you to get dlcs

I fixed the loud fan problem with a surround sound system, but then again I fixed the heat problem with a cheap desk fan. Everything at home is held together with some amount of gaffer tape.
I'll stop derailing this thread by saying this: I'm glad BW have listed to at least part of our grievences.

The ET game is so old... and so bad... it almost destroyed the Game Industry as a whole. I wasn't born yet but I read about it for a college game design class.

Excellent news, I found a reliable method of blowing the kid up ingame (for cathartic reasons).
1. Start NG+
2. Pick Proximity Mine as bonus power.
3. Spec some points in it.
4. Before you open the broken door, cover the vent in mines.
5. They will detect the kid during the cutscene and blow up.
6. CATHARSIS! (well, the kid won't die obviously but still...)
