Same. I'll watch one on YouTube or something before I waste my time. However if they get an awesome actor to do the voice over for an actual epilogue. For example Morgan Freeman would make me get it the minute it was released. Hearing God explain things may be comforting lol.

I would have no desire to play a Mass Effect game that didn't star Shepard. I don't care what they would do to try to intice me, if it didn't have Shepard, Garrus calibrating things, Ashley being a B*tch, and Tali using emergency induction ports, I wouldn't be interested. And it would of course have to have the obligatory ass shot of Miranda.

But that's all moot. They won't be making ME4, they'll make it into the inevitable Mass Effect MMO, and it'll suck just like SWTOR. I should know, I was in beta.

I'm sure part of it will be for future DLC.. but at the same time, based off those comments, at least part of it will be for the extended cut.

How is it that simply saying they're going to bring back my favourite voice actors can make me not want to send them coal for christmas?

Same I am not going to download that...it's worthless. I have more important games to have in my hard drive. Games like the Witcher and Skyrim, rpgs who actually make games for the fans and not their "Artistic egos".

Now I'm determined to make a turn based mini-game for the ending of ME3 where those avatars represent one of the forces you convinced to join you. For example, Wrex represents the krogan troops. Then you strategically move them around an old school blocky London map in a fashion suspiciously similar to Final Fantasy Tactics.

If you play smart, have all possible troop divisions, and your ECS (Effective Cuteness Score) is over 5000, then you'll have enough combined firepower to shoot up through the Citadel beam and start a chain reaction that kills all the Reapers but leaves the arms of the Citadel mysteriously intact. And everyone gets ice cream.

What's that you say? There's no epic drama or tension? It's completely implausible?

I think Angry Joe said it best in his video about the extended cut dlc. The ending was this bad to keep it open ended to keep up with future sequels and DLC. They don't want to change it because that would axe their future prospects for milking the franchise.

I just watched AngryJoe's IT video. I'd love to believe that that is what really happened, but then it also pisses me off to think that they would hold the real ending hostage for dlc. If the Indoctrination Theory is legit, think about it, they had intended to come out months later and say, for  800 Bioware points, you can finish the game.

I still think that they were pressed for time and EA wanted to make a specific release date. So the ending was rushed and they had to use what they had. If thats the case I don't know why they think apologizing for it is bad.

You ran out of time, and now you can fix it.

The IT makes sense to me more and more. To many impossible sceranios

-Why Shep isn't burnt to a crisp upon reentry at the end
- Those Reaper growls you here which is what happens when indoctrination fails
- Shep not being Shep. I'm sorry but I know Shep got semi obliterated by Harbinger, but that doesn't mean he lost his ability to reason.
- The whole Joker and crew thing which has been thoroughly discussed already
- The fact that you in some way screw someone/everyone over with the endings. for example and this is just my opinion:

In Control you can make the Reapers obey you and tell them to Please go away. Now all those people they have horribly harvested and killed means nothing now. I would not want to control a murderer who killed my loved one. I'd want to see him dead. Sory if that sounds amoral

In Syntheisis  you merge humans with syntheitcs with a wave of green space dust not not only do you have your own human DNA but now you have syntheic DNA... umm what??? I get that Shepard has syntheic parts because they were actually and physically inserted into him/her. This other way of getting synthesized is... is... well I'll just say it.. it's stupid.

Not only that but why would Shepard even do that when the Reapers where trying and succeeding in fusing organics with synteic parts. Mind you Synthesis wasn't as horrific, as what the reapers were doing, but changing a person against his/her will is ot something I'd like to decide. Shepard believed that diversity was very important and made us who we are. Being exactly the same goes against that.

Now Destroy AKA  the only way Shepard can live. This solution would never have come up in the catalyst convo. Why would he ever destroy his solution to maintaining balance and order? He figured by doing this then syntheics would eventaully rise up again to fight organics, so why would destroy ever be an option if he was worried about that. He'd WANT to have a solution in place just in case it ever happpened again.

Its all just insane choices presented to us, that we don't even get a say in. Its just "Ok I'll either  go jump in a green energy pit, electrifry myself into nothing, or shoot at a large structure until it explodes in my face.

Heck he didn't even get to walk away from it without looking at the explosion. (That was lame i apologize)


I won't even bring up the whole run like hell thing that Joker did, it never happened, it's just a nightmare I and millions of other gamers had one night.

The sad part is that they don't need to do this to continue the franchise. It is a UNIVERSE of so many different things but then again once you CREATE the ULTIMATE EVIL what is next on the lists. "We are going to kill you and ...and your kittens?" That is why writers like J.K. Rowling wont continue the Harry Potter books. The Ultimate Evil was defeated....theres no real threat now. Same rules apply to ME...thats why they want the Reapers alive in some way...

Dude...Skyrim? I mean its a pretty game sure but its basically oblivion with a few changes but still lacking that depth that a good RPG should have. Just a few things but there was a complete lack of diversity in creatures, armor, and weapons. Although the dungeons are cool and better than oblivion you tend to fight the same creatures in every single one. I think i did a count and for a huge open world there are only about 20 creatures in it not including the races of course. And the combat...dear god...it could put you to sleep it was so repetitive. Could they atleast spend the same amount of time fixing the combat as they did trying to make their game look pretty?.

The quest system is Meh at best, repetitive and dull same as oblivion except this time you have an infinite number repetitive and dull quests due to their new questing system. All the quests that you get can only be done in one way as well. People complain about lack of choice in mass effect should not play Skyrim because you get two choices...take the quest or don't take it. Not to mention the guilds are a joke and really only useful for getting the slightly better gear which is set at the level you get it at so is useless if you get it to eairly in the game. After that the guilds have no real use in the game (except the theifs guild as its the only way you can get merchents with a higher buy limit..ok you can get your presuasion up but still there are better skills to get i think). It would have been nice to at least have a few missions that allow you to feel like a fracking guild master though. I mean really...your the master of the thief's guild and your subordinants are sending you out to pick some zero's pocket??? No...you are the the master and should be sending lackeys out to do stuff and taking a cut of the gold!

Also can you say no actual growth of the economy even though you're constantly dumping thousands of dollars in magic weapons into it after each dungeon? Cant tell you how much I love getting a magic weapon that is worth 6k and trying to sell it to a merchant who only ever has a set 2-4k gold on them. Ended up with 100+ items at the end of the game i could not sell without taking a huge loss on money. You could buy everything from the merchents every day for a week and they only ever have their base gold on hand to buy things. I could understand if i was looking arround and saw improvemnts to the shop or something but no...nothing..your money matters as much as your choices do to the ending of ME3. Not to mention if i wanted to sell all the items i pull from a few dungeon quest i would have to spend hours traveling to every merchent in the game...wheres the mudcrab merchent when you need it!! Has the developer learned nothing since morrowind?

I could keep going on and on but in short it's a completely vanilla RPG game that is lack luster when you get over the stunning graphics. It feels like the took oblivion, gave it some features from morrowind, added a thing here and there, and then made it pretty so people would not notice. The only saving grace of the game that I see is that the modding community is fracking great. Some of the things they build are incredible and really the only reason that I go back to the game now and then. Sure the designers put out a thing here and there but some of the stuff they do feels like it should have been in the game from the start...out of the box and without the recent improvement the game can only use 2 gigs of ram? really? No HD texture mode unless you download the 'oops forgot to add that to the game from the start' texture pack...etc..

And as for Witcher!...ok well its good although i don't really like the potion mechanics much but there are some nice mods that fix that up easy enough.

Anyway sorry for the derailment ill now let you get back to your hate of all things to do with the last 10 minuets of mass effect 3...already in progress

okay...so I lied about leaving for good.  My last post was a bit gunned-ho and absolute.  I appoligies but this whole PAX thing has left me feeling soooooo angry and depressed that it's almost causing me real problems.  I shouldn't of taken it out on you guys; you didn't deserve that.

But now I have more reasons to be resolved in this!  I'm turning my fury into a constructive form of justice!  I'm giving BW a piece of my mind with a letter I just finished writting tonight (couldn't sleep).  I'm going to send it first thing in the morning!  Then, when I recieve their reply, I will decide if their worth my time anymore.  Until then I shall join you comrades in...

I don't know about you guys but i consider what we had today a victory, and not just some minor victory a GREAT victory.We did what no one could before, we've made the all mighty EA Games release a free dlc just to appease us, we've made our voices be heard in a way no one did before. 
Even we this "Extended cut dlc" don't satisfy us, we will haved shown them that our voices cannot be ignored.
We can proudly say WE HELD THE LINE!!!!!
Congratulations my friends you deserv it.

To be honest its 2 a.m I just got done defending a Retaker from a bunch of people who belive that since bioware has decided to clearfy the endings with free dlc means you all need to get off the BioWare Network. I am some what disgruntled and a little tipsy with a lack of sleep so no worrys about understanding me.

Edit* Also my comment wasnt directed at you guys. I've just noticed a Retake the Forms grp.
