You don't really want to know, oh ok, I'll tell you in one short quote from the panel, to paraphrase "we were not aware this is what our fans wanted"

Wait....what? seriously?

Seriously.
There's a whole thread dedicated to that moronic sentence alone.

Hey guys it has been 18 hours since I was last on so I can't be bothered trying to catch up. What happened at PAX?
Holding The Line/Wallet :D

I'm afraid so. It's beyond me how they could say that with a straight face because it implies that they really believe it. How could they have gotten so much right up until the ending and be so completely clueless about the biggest appeal of their game?

With this ending it'll be MMO in which the main goal is to hunt down RGB-coloured mammoths. For some reason Green Mammoths are considered to be elite mobs, even though they don't drop good equipment or are worth anything. They also fly across the skies making WRAVWRAVWRAV noice.

Lol are serious? This is the most hilarious thing i've heard about those endings, for the last few days!!!

Just paraphrasing the conclusion we came to hundreds of pages ago when last discussing the possibility of a MMO. :P With much of the tech destroyed, Reaper tech excluded (lets hope that lone turian who managed to figure out reaper lazers from the husk of Sovereign did not die on Citadel, shall we), it will be a timeleap back to the Stone Age. Or maybe just Middle Ages if we're lucky.

Lol even though it's paraphrasing, it's still the most lucrative avenue for BioWare, soooo.... they'll probably do it anyway!Get ready for some MMo...

Though yeah, the citadel species still better hope their best engineers weren't on the Citadel when it was taken over, or else it'll be worse then a Stone Age; it'll be a good ol' jurassic apocalypse...

Is anyone else worried that they might decide to cut their losses with Mass Effect and abandon it altogether, beyond what's already been announced? Too much goodwill lost, too much pride to admit their mistakes. Even if the endings were addressed to everyone's satisfaction, even if there's another Mass Effect game that everyone who plays it thinks is utterly brilliant, can it possibly sell well enough or would it be better to try something completely new?

As to the MMO thing, I will be really upset if they go that route. They have probably lost me as a customer anyway, but MMO? It's really not my thing at all.

I don't fear they'll cut it altogether, but i FEAR they will change it completely... So yes.

Well turians are kinda modelled after dinosaur birdies, so I guess they'll be okay. You know, if they ever manage to overcome their dextro based dna and not starve to death. Though I guess not every turian did come to aid Earth, so they can start repopulating Palaven and go through civil war all over again.

....

.......that's what they'd base the MMO on, wouldn't they? First inter-species contacts, Turian colony wars etc <_<

Definitely. I really hope they don't but I am worried that after this "Extended Cut" that will be it.

That'd what they based their story on, but they would still randomly include all the other species for the heck of it...
Or they'd give some bull***** explanation about the dextro alimentation on Earth... Like "they develop an immunity".

Mulling on the endings implications I've just seem someone on another thread mention the dormant relays. Do we think that they were affected or not?

Personally I think they probably were. But I could be completely wrong, it's just my own opinion.

I suppose, for the sake of BioWare storytelling, the relays will all either be unoperable and/or destroyed.

MP DLC was leaked before ME3 was released, bioware denied it, EA denied it and oh look, the EXACT SAME DLC that was leaked is now being shoved out for free.

epic lame, bioware and ea can go take a flying f**k to themself, there the biggest bunch of liar's i have ever met and i've met a polition during a rally for votes.

at least we know polititions are expected to lie then admit it later on where as game companys we expect to take there word as truth because its a game, we expect to see what they say, unlike bioware and EA who lied through there teeth and then claim this f**king artisitic integrity bullchit.

bioware and ea have lost me as a customer now, i give up, its no use fighting for a cause where we are being bent over and raped by a company who does not give a chit about us

Tell us how you really feel Image IPB
How're you feeling this afternoon, pain a bit less?

morphine pills kicked in and right now i am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo pissed off at this multiplayer dlc bullchit

also

~pounce, hugs~

I suppose, for the sake of BioWare storytelling, the relays will all either be unoperable and/or destroyed.

I don't know, leaving the dormant ones intact at least works very well IMO. For the storytelling purposes you've still got a pretty heavy cost for defeating the Reapers but you've not totally trashed the future of your franchise either. Exploring for suitable dormant relays could play a major part in any future stories. It gives a means of getting the galaxy back together in a relatively short time and exploring for suitable dormant relays opens up all sorts of storytelling possibilities, due to both "what's on the other side?" and a race against time before everything falls apart due to being too many stuck in too small an area of space.
