I'm being realistic; have they listened to us up till now ? When thousands of fans have been patient, shown reasoned logic, and so on ? Their reponse (and more particularly Larke's response) proves that they aren't going to do a thing. They don't care about us. They got our money. That's all that interests them. In three months people will have forgotten about Mass Effect 3 as a bad egg and Bioware'll go about their business once more. There is nothing we can do.

Maybe so, but why exactly should we give up? We are fighting for something we really want to happen? giving in after one thing is kind of defeatist. You can give up if you like that's fine nobody will hold it against you.

There is something we can do. STOP buying BioWare products, when their sales for future things drop it will show them that if they are going to treat their loyal customers this way, they have to deal with the repercussions.

Watch the pyramid quotes guys. I'm not letting this get me down, The extended cut, and the analysis of yesterday's Q&A has me knowing that Bioware's going to give us an end that has Citadel Kid actually make sense.. which is hard to believe.. but when you remember how many other things they've done and made sense of over the trilogy we know they can do it.

Quick question; what are you all still doing here ? I thought Bioware had made it clear that they don't give a rat's arse what we think, and that they aren't going to do anything about it.

Hmm...we are having a conversation about how much we hate the ending? Isn't that what we do here?
That's like asking why someone would be on a LI thread or on a forum at all.

The cutscenes were way more refined and realistic in ME3 compared to the last game which is why I think they didn't have every encounter as cutscenes. It would've been a lot of work. Honestly, with the exception of final 10 minutes, and small things, this game is a perfect 10/10 game.

I REALLY wish BioWare would've taken another year to complete their masterpiece like how Blizzard does with SC and Diablo or valve with Half-Life. It's too bad that EA has the final say. I'd have gladly waited... Now I'm tearing up again...

I wouldn't have mined no realistic cutscenes as long as they gave me cutscenes when former crew members died in a battle because they turned evil and Shepard killed them.:?

That's exactly what I meant by small things, and yes, that's quite a cold way to handle the potential LI dying in front of you and you keep walking past her.

I sent a message to both Mike Gamble and Jessica Merizan asking if it would be possible to get starchild to say something like he couldn't open the relay due to when the protheans changed the keepers signals it also changed his signal or something to fill in the plot hole of why sovereign was needed.

And then EA will cut them loose, and let them sink, before moving onto it's next host. Yes, I'm being defeatist. I've watched this damned thing evolve pretty much since day, and yes, watching Bioware flip us a massive birdie for the hundredth time has begun to lose it's charm on me.

I'll quote this from another user:

"The pattern has repeated itself more times than you can fathom..."

Great video game developers rise, evolve, advance, and at the apex of their glory they are extinguished.
Bioware
wasn't the first. They did not create profit maximization. They did not
forge the stock market. They merely found it – the legacy of EA Games.

The
cycle of destroying talented studios must continue – it is EA's
solution. Without it, talented video game developers themselves would
create corporate groups, which would destroy all studios.

That may be so, but it will have sent EA/BioWare and heck maybe even other developers that we are fans second customers first.

Again I say, no one will mind if you leave but we are just on a discussion thread, still dicussing how much we hate the ending. While fighting for something worth fighting for.

Clarification ? What Bioware has done is give a glass of ****** to somebody who wanted a goddamn beer !

The reality is forcing this much out of them is a good start, and it may be possible to get more out of this so long as pressure is continuosly applied. Also the fact that they gave a little ground doesn't mean people should simply think that's good enough and walk away, it sends the message that throwing their fans some scraps is good enough.

Truth be told I've never really been sure why they're being so stubborn about the whole thing, They've managed to split their fanbase somewhere down the middle and they keep sitting back spout artistic vision as if that has any real merit.

I also have to agree with you though I do still view this as them saying "We're sorry you simply can't understand our glorious vision so we will hold your hand and walk you through it"

As a side note not sure if this has been stated before but; The reason they haven't disproved the Indoctrination Theory is simply because that theory has worked to keep a portion of the fan base from activily coming out and saying how bad the ending is. Granted this isn't the case for all IT people but for some I'm sure, so disproving it would either move them into this camp or into the "Peace I'm out" group

Blue one is a duck's egg, green one is rotten and the red is actually a tomato! See Bioware, it's not that hard to think up ways of making them different. I did it in 5 seconds.

part 2
part 3

Major.... LOVE IT!!!!!!!!
See thats how I want to end mine... but its going to be a lot longer, with more action involved, no offence, I'm just one for the fight and all that, since I've got a huge over all plan in mind... Anyways, they're all really good, I just wish there was more, I read through them so fast... *hugs* good work~!

lol thanks and yea when i set out my mission was to make something i could picture as the "real" ending/a generally happy ending lol, got around to part 3 and was like hmmmm maybe if it turns out to be good i should do some asides and add some more chapters in to fill in some things/expand on a couple things here and there that i put in, examples being Feros, Noveria, Omega, Illium etc, still got some thinking and planning to do on that though haha

Modifié par Major Swift, 07 avril 2012 - 04:50 .
