My original theory for the reapers after witnessing ME2 was that when the first civilization grew and encompassed the galaxy, they ran out of resources. Kinda like the drell only alot worse. The reapers eventually grew sentient, wiped out organic life, harvesting them and preserving them in reaper form. Then, every couple of thousand years, they come back, wipe out the most advanced, widespread races, that they deem "worthy" and preserve them in Reaper form in order to ensure that such a mass galactic overpopulation never happens again. Also...something just occurred to me. Where in the bloody hell are the salarian husks???

They were cut from the game according to the art book I have. They do make an appearance in the Invasion Graphic Novel where they fight to control Omega from Aria.

Don't know what page it was first shown on, but Bioware are releasing a free DLC in the Summer to EXTEND (not add) to the endings in order to clear up some of the plot holes and let us see some more of our choices actually having an effect.

It's a bit late for that if a complete rewrite of the ending is off the table.

They're going to need all the help they can get to try to polish this turd.

This exactly. Why can't they just cut the PR crap and give a straight and honest answer to what we can reasonably expect from the DLC. Add as many caveats as necessary but gamers, consumers and people in general appreciate honesty.

It might be a case of not really knowning exactly what will be in the DLC. They probably have a rough outline at this point, but they might well not have specifics...OR might not be 100% sure if they could implement some ideas at this point...or if some ideas would work.

Basically they are probably unwilling to make promises about content they might not be able to put into the DLC - which is after all one of the complaints about the game as it stands. So I can understand them opting not to be too specific - besides which no matter what they talk about doing someone would start complaining about the idea.

PAX was yesterday and the ME3 panel confirmed there would be additional cutscenes that would clarify the ending(s). Also they did a "neither confirm nor deny" on Indoctrination Theory. They also went on a rant on everyone's favorite aspects of the game and did not acknowledge all of the issues that we've all been complaining about. And finally, for the Q and A, the least pertinent questions were asked by the audience which leads me to believe they were pre-screened for asking.

Also MP map packs are being released for free. woop <_<

Sigh. I really was hoping for indoctrination theory to be the real ending. That dlc kinda tells me it's not.

Considering they are making this to appease the fans, surely it would be a good idea to include us in the planning process so we can tell them if something is good or not. I'm not saying we should dictate everything that happens in it, but some of the major parts should be told to us if they plan on putting them in so we can help them to improve it.
