The patch is for MP and a couple small SP things.  There is no new hidden endling in there.  The endings seen are the endings in the game, folks.  BW prepped us for this by saying the ending isn't going to make everybody happy.  That pretty much says outright that you are not going to have the choices you expected to have.

They had to know this would make hardly anyone happy. I would ask if they are so blind, but they approved Deception after all.. .so maybe they are.

there's 4 things they can do here
1. another end is included in there somewhere.....
2. dlc epilogue of some sort, you can play as garrus...he has to fight off something or other on the planet he's on to get a part he needs, he calibrates the hell outta it and the normandy flies off....we hear somebody say something to the effect of being locked onto shep's signal or something
3. very quickly announce ME4 and that the prologue in it will clear up our questions....(taking your ME3 save into account as they've told us to hold onto)
4. Do nothing, and lose the customers that feel dissatsified

 I'll have to agree. I played ME2 before ME1 and thought "omg best game ever!!!111!!!"

I played ME1...then ME2 again. And...eh...still a good game, but didn't compare to the epic feeling of Me1.  Though to its credit, it is a "middle game." Which are usually the weakest.

The thread in general about ME1 faces not importing has me just as worried as the endings now.

It seems at least one and maybe two people who got the game early can't import their ME1 created face that they used in ME2. No mods, or any other nefarious stuff.

People have tweeted the devs asking about this and gotten strangely vague replies that don't actually answer the question. When asked very specific questions about ME1 faces importing people are getting no replies.

Hope I'm just paranoid and everything is fine

that's true and if it plays out badly, make it known that it's bad.....maybe we can enact some change or at least get noticed like the deception sucks thread

It is probably a patch for MP since that is soooo much more important than our SP experience

It's all based on flags so maybe the flags are slightly off.

I.E. people claiming in the flashback that they can only see Liara, or VS as their LI. That sounds like a major flag issue.

That one I can get to a certain degree. Never liked FFXIII but could never say that it did anything wrong that did not just come down to what I like and don't like.

It's FFXIII-2 that paid for it big time, which I do actually like quite a bit. Funny how that goes.

Because every FF is different I never hold it against them.

Yup. I say a maximum of one month after launch before EA releases the first map/weapon pack.

And call it the "Deception: We hate our fans" Pack.

Yep. The thing with Mass Effect 2, is that it's dialogue is surprisingly decent at moments. That's what make people really see it as a good story when they are playing. It's when you go back the 2nd time or stop and think about the story that you're like ... "eh." 

The scenarios of Mass Effect 2 themselves are pretty awful.

I agree, standard patch for bugs after cert.

And I can't condone buying DLC to reenforce (what I feel could be) crap endings.  I'd rather not reward them at all.

But I'm in wait and see mode right now.  Even if something feels mighty off about these endings I still have to play it at least once.  If they have taken the hell in a handbasket approach, well, then I have no problem walking away from what I feel as an ineptly tacked on screw over.  <_<

yeah, it's preinstalled on the pc versions, there will be on the consoles as well, people have said that it won't add an ending, i'd agree with this.....it doesn't mean they weren't snakey enough to have the ground work in there for it and the patch would make it work....especially with the game going out early like so....

It has to be because there are flashback vids for Ash and Kaiden on the disc as well.  Day 1 patch will probably fix that I would think.

From what I hear they plan on finishing the XIII-2 endings through DLC.  Even though I abhor an idea like that I can understand why SE would do it.
