A bit off topic again but saw some cool stuff other developers are doing 'for the community'.  Seems to be a common theme.  We've done some change here. 

TopWare - the guys who make Two Worlds/2 are giving out free DLC this weekend to 'thank their community'
Firaxis - Makers of Civillization series - announced an expansion pack to bring back some sorely missed features their fans have been asking for (not quite free but they said they're still deciding on pricing because they want everyone to be able to get it)

That's just today.. we've made significant change, and for the better

whats TopWare giving out/is what they are giving out for Two Worlds 2?

It's some new multiplayer mode and 5 maps.. would have preferred a SP campaign or something but hey, it's free

oh and yea although id prefer it be something SP related thats pretty cool that its free, i actually enjoyed that game, seems to get overlooked a bit probably because of the first one

Homework, homework and more homework.

And oh, Kinetic Star Wars videos sometimes help me realize that ME3 ending isn't the worst thing going on to the video game industry right now 



Just give it some time and you should feel better eventually. Maybe the new extended cutscene might make you feel better....maybe.

To be honest, I've gone back to playing Dragon Age: Origins. I feel like a terrible protestor. ;P 

Until a new ending's released, I'm keeping myself busy looking at fan speculations and fanart/fiction of what they'd rather have. Some of them are silly and are brightening the situation, while some of them are very moving or thought-provoking. <3

Ego, pride and misunderstanding, it happens when people fail to communicate, but this is bigger than all the groups put together which is why they need to work together.

I'm somewhat puzzled at their lack of foresight, this as gone beyond the dissatisfaction of the games ending, this is an opportunity to let the gaming industry as whole know they need to stop taking their customers for granted, nip it in the bud now before it becomes too ridiculous like selling to ammo clips to the players for real dollars, I mean look how ridiculous that is, I thought the horse armour was the most pathetic grab at money I'd ever seen until I heard about microtransactions.

Time to get together folks and send the message.

As the old saying goes, "Divided we fall, UNITED WE STAND"

 

your right but look out there  - at the mindless... sheep that follow along. Hell just on the boards you have people the worship bioware like some story telling god that can be wrong..ever.   As long as gamers continue to have that mental and fanboyism continues to drive  who buys what ...  Companies like EA will win.  

Thats not saying I'm not going fight..  because damn it I'm  but we gotta look at realistically.  EA has a strangely hold on "Gaming Journalist" hell even people  Garrant Lee who I know will speak his mind..  durning the DLC 1  he was timidly soft spoken about. I have listened to that man show  since  1up yours and it was on of the reason i go  shacknews now.   EA has that much of a stranglehold. 

No one wants to ask the hard ball questions and put pressure on this  companies and there PR  people because of  dollars they would lose from advertising.

Sorry you're feeling down. I went back and started playing the Baldurs Gate games. Also I have piddled around with ME a bit. Just have to headcannon an ending that isn't an emotionless wreck.
