I'd just like to remind the troops we have about 6 months to go before we see the results of Biowares extended DLC, Bioware have made it quite clear they are not going to change the ending, there is nothing we can do about that, apart from of course walking away, I intend to stay to see this through, but that's 6 months, think about it, we can all argue until the cows come home, but all that will do is burn you out faster, this thread has worked better when sticking to the "discussion" of the ending and a few off topic friendly discussions, that latter part is the only way you are going to get through the next 6 months on this forum, seriously, think about it.

Though it would be good if we could have a civil and rational discussion, rather then this fighting.

I am happy some people like the ending, and all the power to them, but I don't see why we are not allowed to voice our perspective on the matter.

Anyways, time to go play the Witcher 2 for a while. Looking forward to 3.

That would be due to the difference between a criminal act and an civilly liable act. One's a crime, the other gets you sued.

Geez I leave for a bit and things get crazy. This thread needs some damage control.

For all those who enjoyed the endings in all their glory, that is great. I applaud you for finding the good in the endings in your own story arc. You felt your choices mattered and that it tied into your overall story, maybe you even felt the characters had a good send off in the end.

I read that there could of been more endings but what you got satisfied you. So in the end maybe you felt in some way or another Bioware answered your questions, and gave you the product they promised.

As for the rest of us though this isn't the case, as Mr Bond posted a link to the things promised which we did not see.

I expected to counterattack SB's arguments For example with the peace we brought about with Geth and Quarians, hell look at EDi and her willingness to die for her human companions or her relationship with Jeff. I expected to ask those questions and give those answers.

I also expected an ending that was actually and ending. Not leave it to speculation and wonderment. If this is the finale then treat it like a finale.

Don't leave important characters stranded and expect us to believe they'll be fine and wont die off
Don't expect us to believe that just this once characters do out of character things.
Don't give us an ending were we don't get to decide the outcome. Those three options were not choices, the were chosen for us, if you get what i mean by that.

Do give me/us what you promised though and make this a game that is talked about for years because it delivered. No "speculation" or I "wonder whats" Give this game the ending it deserves for the entire series.

Which is what I thought I paid for.

You're misinterpreting that statement.  It refers to companies that are so large and provide so many primary and secondary jobs that if it were to collapse it would have an unacceptable impact on the economee.  Companies were failing left and right when this phrase was coined, only companies A) received a massive bailout and got lucky actually proved that they were to big to fail. 

On a side note, if you're looking for some encouraging words from me, I will say that you have accomplished all that you possibly could relating to issues that concern your "movement".

You were able to convince Bioware to put some additional dev time into the endgame of Mass Effect 3. This means they will probably take scrapped ideas that they would have liked to include originally but lacked the timeframe to get it done. You have now allowed them that time.

Actually, even though you have been slightly...ermm..."trollish" at times. Generally, you've been one of the lessers.
Others, however, don't seem to add any constructive text to their posts. They just fuel anger.

Also, your "logic" quote there can work both ways. Logic dictates that any conclusion that requires an explination, is not a conclusion. As it is missing the very aspects that make it a conclusion in the first place. So yeah, logic can be applied to both sides of the agrument.

Such as the fact that people who do feel the need to post here with no purpose other than to incite anger, logically, must live a far more sad and depressing life than us. And no, don't mean you Mint. Even when you are being a pain, you still generally add something constructive.

Also, to politely disagree.  Corporate law doesn't extend to universal jurisdiction.  That's WHY they are in separate countries.. to take advantage of the fact they're not in the US and are subject to Alberta's low corporate tax rates and applicable laws..

ANY legal claim would be for advertising made in your location since the business transaction would have been between you there.  It's why ads quite often say "Not applicable in vermont, Texas, California...etc".  I'm not an expert on law, but based on countless articles commenting on this particular case from actual attorneys and barristers this week in the media, as well all of the available precedent you can find on the internet I'd encourage you to look at it all..  I think you'd be surprised what constitutes false advertising.

For instance, in the US Press Releases are actually protected to a point under the first amendment, but depending on what is IN the Press release could be considered a commercial advertisement and subject to the false advertising laws.

Just be careful here, I don't want us to all get locked, or you to find yourself in trouble with EA's lawyers... don't forget that any statement not bound by fact accusing a company of malfeasance could be considered libel on our part as well.

Not a qualified expert on international trade, commercial law, or tort - but I'm pretty sure that a corporation is bound by the laws of the lands in which they do business or they don't do business there - i.e. A British company paying American trade tariffs or a Polish company meeting local/regional safety standards in Finland so they can legally market their product.

What constitutes false advertising would be defined by the presiding government in which the claim was made - a claim of false advertising made by an American may not pass legal muster anywhere else in the world.
