It was a bit of anarchy till one of the mods showed up and read us the riot act...
He apparently wasn't pleased someone tipped over his c-sec shuttle
(okay he was polite and we deserved it but I REALLY wanted to say riot act)
So we're back on topic now..

I really hope that conversation really happened and holds water etc. It gives me some hope for the "extended cut."
More importantly, in reading that thread it is amazing the love fest that was created for Weekes. He did exactly what EA/Bioware have avoided doing like the plague. Instead of hiding behind "artistic integrity," give the fans an open and honest discussion about the state of the ending. If this had happened a month ago, there is no way that this thread would be at 3k pages! I think I speak for more than just myself when I say that this is all I wanted! Someone to behind the curtain to admit the flaws in the ending and talk about workable pathways to fix them. Why was that so hard to provide your fanbase?
I just hope that the "unofficial" conversation continues so we don't have to hit 6k pages.
Still on the line!

And that's exactly what they needed to do. just speak candidly about the ending, and give details, instead of battening down all hatches and blaming us.
Reading that I got a lot more enthusiastic about the extended dlc. Just think of the damage they could have avoided if they had just been honest and open with us from the beginning.
Next week I'm gonna start up ME1 again and play my first ever FemShep. I suppose I'll have to let Kaiden live for the first time too... But as soon as I get to ME2, I'm dropping his ass for Thane. Yeah, I got a bromance with Thane, big whoop.

I don't think there will be gameplay; I think that there will be dialogues where we can ask questions/reply....or so I hope

Seriously! I choose the upper response which I figured was parargon. I expected to give him a response like "Joker its not the time" but in a cool and calm manner. What i got... man It was great to see him react like that. Even paragons have bad days. Jokers response was great too. Sad about his family and all but a great response nonetheless.

I actually posted my analysis based off the Q&A yesterday so it's probably 30 or 40 pages back now.
Basically most of what Weekes just said.. and from today I get they may have some inferrence to Indoctrination in there too but they'll leave it open to our interpretation.
I suspect we're going to get a lot more "You chose this so have this cutscene" which, honestly, is exactly what I wanted when I got on the line.
I also think we're going to get a lot more closure.. stuff like if you were a paragon and brought together the Krogan, Turians, Salarians, Geth, Quarians..etc.. someone would be seen arguing over something, and random minor character you met would step in and, without even needing words, would just settle it like you did.. show hope lives and life goes on sorta thing.... the most profound stories have that, even after the sacrifice of the main character they show HOW that sacrifice made a difference and how life went on, influenced by their actions.
I think, even if they keep citadel kid, they can make sense of all this and give us an amazing ending.. I'm actually starting to feel bad for the price drops.. though my brother should be able to buy his own copy soon the way things are going... (it's actually cheaper than Skyrim on Amazon.ca right now)
I hope Bioware's got some Veteran PRers now and their producers know what's expected from a Bioware product now.. They've got street cred, hopefully they can earn it back in this upcoming and all their future releases.. I know they're capable, I've seen it.

if you want games created in your vision, become a game developer. its as simple as that. the only thing bioware failed in doing is the impossible - pleasing "everyone". people feel ripped off, yet take no direct action towards changing the way things are. you look for immediate reparation through temporary protest. which pretty much is equal to accomplishing nothing.
sure, maybe bioware is the victim of some dubious plot dictated by the EA money machine. i just dont know if that has anything to do with bioware being able to make this exceptional game without having to read your mind first.

I just got there again, Shepard went all crazy eyed. Joker always seems crazy eyed for some reason. I always get creeped out when Shepard smiles. When I brokered peace between Geth and Quarian, and Shep gave that quick smile, I bursted out laughing, it was the most awkward thing I've ever seen.
P.S. Ok I'm sorry to go off topic, but did anyone check out ebay and see people spending over $100 for the MP collector rifle?!?!
Am I crazy or is that absolutely ludicrous?

It had decended into a flamewar. The mod was actually -really- patient with us and simply warned us to get back on topic so we wouldn't get locked. He could have just been like "LOCKED! NO THREAD FOR YOU!" and walked away.... okay probably ran away with close air support napalming danger close missions behind him to cover his escape... but still!

My favorite scene is one people will find weird.
On Mars When Shepard and (romanced) Ash come upon that huskified Cerberus Trooper, and Ash talks about her fears about what TIM may have done to Shepard while bringing him back. "That could have been you, Shepard. For all I knew, that's what Cerberus had done to you" I thought that put her fears in much better perspective than Horizon ever did.
And I loved Sheps answer:
"I'm the same person I always was, Ash. And I want you with me, wherever this takes us"
And Ash's response: "That's what I needed to hear"
Pity Bioware had other plans...
