So we can't get the ending we want after all?

If you survive seeing one of their shows...a medal will be awarded to you for bravery.
Went to one of theirs once...although it was cool, it was...extreme. To say the least. Some people get kinda crazy.

I don't need to, I figured I could not gripe about MP unless I gave it a go, so I did, lets just say I prefer my game play a little more laid back.Atrocity wrote...
So, to stay somewhat on topic, how many of you are going to boycott the MP DLC when it comes out?

I haven't seen most of Van Halen Live, but i'd have to admit that Rammstein has some of the best live shows...

Good advice. Most of my friends are metal lovers, so we think nothing of girls mosh pitting without shirts and losing their bras there, while covered in goo, but that might seem a bit exotic to someone who's not used to that.-PG-Skyre wrote...

And bear in mind, if you go to Rammstein concert, there will be people engaged in carnal activities there. That's just a law of nature.

I don't feel the end has anything morally wrong, it does not offend me in the slightest. The lack of choice though... and I guess most of those three 'options' go against my Shep's morals. <_<toffeetrooper wrote...

We have given Bioware ample time, opportunity, feedback, opinions ect ect on what we generally want (which was not, clarification but alternatives)
Bioware is taking 6 months (aprox) to create this DLC from scratch, with supposedly every single writer on the team to come back and work a miracle.
Bioware is, I'm sure, fully aware that virtually their entire fanbase is looking at this DLC ending, free or not, with the full weight of "this decides weather we continue to buy your games, or move on."
So I'm fairly certain this DLC is going to be as good as the writers can make it (probably)
But the last thing we want is for them to feel like they got the monkey off their back and get overconfident/stupid again some point in development.
So, my suggestion, indeed the one Recourse we have left to us right now is:
Instead of repeating over and over again "We want alternatives we want alternatives we want alternatives."
Keep the pressure on with the statement
"This is the make it or break it moment for you."
Make sure that they realise that for most of us, if this DLC sucks. This is essentially It. Period. No ands ifs or buts about it. If they come back and this DLC does not make the endings, at the very least, tolerable, with truly alternative outcomes both for shepard, crew and galaxy, then we won't come back and protest again (at that point it really wont work) We will simply wash our hands of their company.
That's the message we need to deliver now to Bioware I think.
That's the way to keep their ending DLC in perspective.
This for them is no longer about expressing their inner artists, if thats what they were indeed doing with this ending. This is about keeping their buisness afloat.
If asking for their ending changed is a threat to their art. Then simply explain that their art will not keep their bills paid. Now its time to threaten the botom line and make sure that they know through these next months that they need to decide wether their Art is more important than their wallets.

The way I see it is that MP is a simple possibly unnecessary addition, I however feel that it works, well designed and above all good fun for a sunday afternoon blast up and ultimatly is that not what a good MP is meant to be.

Whenever I go to read something BW says, I get ready to facepalm. Lets face it, its a safe bet that these days we end out facepalming for every release they do.
That being said, sometimes I get annoyed enough that I don't post for a few days (although I keep lurking).
Still, BW has pushed me to play other games a lot. The Witcher series, the Mount and Blade series and a few others (none are BioWare games though). I realised how much I love those games, which has made me forget about BioWare and this farce a bit (at least, while I'm playing).

As a concept, yes. And then came the other players, and behold, all that once was fun and good, is no more, and only elitism remains.Fallenfromthesky wrote...

Yep that's your opinion, and many others. My opinion is simply I don't like any MP, I am strictly a SP person and I think MP took money/time away from SP that could have possibly made the ending better than it was.
Just my opinion though, please don't think I am trying to be rude or anything.

Its quite clever of BW to do this, take our replay value but give us MP. Thank you Bioware *sacasm*

Wouldn't dream of it
I actually like MP. I get why many people feel it's an unnecessary addition, and I personally believe it should not be manadatory in order to get the 'best' ending, though in the light of the circumstances, that seems ironic, to say the least...
It's also rather well thought out in the light of the 'it's war' theme of ME3, getting to fight as the common soldier instead of ass-shall-be-kicked-Shepard, and from a purely techinal viewpoint, it discourages elitist attitudes of shooter MPs as much as possible.
