I'll be happy to avoid any MP DLC, Just new maps and characters if I want that I'll pay for COD DLC. as for boycotting MP itself I may not simply because I paid over £40 for Mass Effect and I want my moneys worth.

It's a difficult thing to ask, I would hazzard a guess most MP players don't connect it with SP, I had started a thread requesting people boycott MP, it was not very popular and hence sunk into oblivion.

I'm not herding..I just wanted to confirm the line.
I'm boycotting all bioware products myself till dlc ending.
Holding the wallet.
the only thing I'm listening to is the soundtrsck fro the games.
other than that I'm playing again deus ex first one.
great game.

That's how it was running though my head as well, lol. Reading every point in their announcent. Everything just piled on top of itself. I couldn't even get myself to post anything here for a day after they realeased the news.

Whenever I go to read something BW says, I get ready to facepalm. Lets face it, its a safe bet that these days we end out facepalming for every release they do.

That being said, sometimes I get annoyed enough that I don't post for a few days (although I keep lurking).

Still, BW has pushed me to play other games a lot. The Witcher series, the Mount and Blade series and a few others (none are BioWare games though). I realised how much I love those games, which has made me forget about BioWare and this farce a bit (at least, while I'm playing).

With Bioware, I guess no news seems to better.  I dunno, Bioware's got me turned all bipolar because of this. I ended yesterday with a bit of optimism, but after talking with a couple of people who just suffered the endings for the first time I just get depressed again.

That there are people sitting there defending Bioware's decision because it's their art... I just don't get it. This ending wasn't art. Maybe it was art, in the same defiinition that technically everyhing is art. It certainly wasn't high art. As the guy in the video said, just because there's sad piano music, confusing dialogue, etc., it doesn't mean there's something deep to the endings that we don't see.

Also, I started playing Perfect Dark again. I wish I had a 360 to buy the HD remake on, but I'll have to make do with the N64 version. That's some good sci-fi right there.

Yes. This one is somewhat a borderline case, since, as DJBare said, many MP players don't feel like it has anything to do with the SP campaign, and on top of that, the 10th day DLC is free. I'd say only a small minority of retaker's would buy DLCs before the EC, but free DLC is always free DLC.

I haven't yet decided what I'll do, I like MP and I don't really have anything else to play at the moment and I feel like waiting for the EC-DLC patiently anyhow. On the other hand, I feel like EA needs to feel the pressure until the DLC is released and I don't really have the time to play before finishing my essays and German course...

I might end up just dowloading the free DLC and not playing

just woke up, anyway, if there were a variation of my ending in the game i would want either this or this to play during the credits lol (not to say i hate the current ending credits thing but these two are just amazing!)
just read up on the last few pages, ive really no idea what ill do when it comes to this free MP DLC coming out in 2 days, on one hand MP is the only thing mass effect ive been able to do and on the other i don't want to add to the numbers, so conflicted

since i passed out at 3am last night and i woke up at 11:30am i flicked through the pages which have grown and i see a reoccuring image.

BOYCOTT

since EA launched 3 need for speed games in 10 months i started to boycott EA products.
i have not purchased any EA product since then, i last bought need for speed hot pursuit as it was done by criterion games without being fingered by EA.

now bioware, i have bought almost all the bioware games i liked DA:O and i liked DA2 even with its flaws it was a good game NOT great but good.

now since the fuster cluck that bioware has caused with ME3 i have now put bioware on the same level as EA i havent played ME3 or ME2 for a while now and i wont play it untill it is fixed to a level where it is acceptable.

this "clarification" DLC is a load of bullchit, there just extending the torcher and pain of something NONE of us want.

now if bioware are making a dlc about the indoc theory then they should fess up and say "yes were doing it" at least that way would make sense of everything.
but since they have ignored out requests and have actually lied about listening to us then it goes to show they do not give a chit about us.

we are all level headed people, all from diffrent backgrounds, diffrent races, diffrent religious background, diffrent countrys hell we even talk in diffrent languages and yet we have done the near impossible.

we have managed to join togeather in one voice, one mind and we have spoken and yet we are called "entitled".

now i would go through a long prolonged mind numbing post explaning the whole artistic thing but wont since there are so many.

so yes, boycotting a company and its subsiys is the best way to go and i support MR BOND'S information.

(am still recovering from last night so spelling mistakes will be rife)

Maybe it's just me, but I like the song from Faunts. Standing alone, it makes for a good credits song. Hearing it now triggers bad memories though. I don't know how happy they are that their song is associated with something that is universally accepted as horrible.

The thing that worries me about MP is that from PAX and from EA I get the feeling they love statistics and if MP is a huge success and SP continues to be an expensive hassle where nobody is ever pleased they might and I stress might just abandon SP and concentrate on MP in the long run.

a good read and a point of view i kind of agree with the ending choices do not sit well with me moraly.

It does not set well at all with the morale stance the whole trilogy had before the introduction of SpaceBrat :
- ME 2 + ME 3 : Geth and EDI are unlike Reapers and are fighting them along side organics.

-> SpaceBrat : "Nope. They are all synthetics. Kill them all."

- ME 1 + ME 2 : Free will is good. ME 3 : The Protheans were defeated because they always used the same tactics. Diversity is good. Indoctrinated/merged people/monsters created with Reaper tech should be killed with fire or put out of their misery with a bullet to the face (essentially).

-> SpaceBrat : "Differences and free will suck. Reapers are just poor alcoholic toys who enjoy making monsters. They're not evil at all. You should Synthesis/merge us all with a new DNA (BTW I've no idea what I'm talking about) in a glorious rainbow of peace."

- The whole trilogy (minus the last 10 minutes) : Reapers are each a nation. They can't be reasoned with. They are always ahead of every one. They are the ultimate evil.

And they are keeping that in the extended cut along with giant plotholes than can't be explained ?
Seems like selective listening to me.

I'm sorry, but none of my Shepard can choose between Destroy/Synthesis/Control. They'd rather be killed by Marauder Shields and let the Reapers win. That would be a better ending, and a mercy to the galaxy.
