I've never done this one myself, but I am willing to do it next time.
I miss ME2 now...
Yeah, an ending in which your previous choices mattered (loyalty, choice of squad, ship upgrades, etc.) and felt like a badass escaping from the base by the skin of your teeth, as well as being able to stick it to the Illusive Man and the Reapers at the same time. That was how you ended a game and felt like a hero doing it.

I told him the ending sucked in my opinion.. so I guess I did give spoilers in that regard.. never gave anything else though.. and he only did the one control ending (and was a little bit angry about his EMS readiness not getting him the synthesis ending which he found out about afterwards).. might have been more upset had he seen the complete lack of difference.. I might give him the link to the youtube later.. don't want to completely upset him.. least till I get my disc back, he has a habit of breaking discs he doesn't like.
I went through it completely unknowing what I was in for... it was tragic, and horrible, and has given me battlescars I will tell my grandkids about.

Oh yeah. That's what I liked about ME2. Two weeks to finish the first playthrough and I got out with entire crew and squad. And I knew I'd eventually put a round in the Illusive Man but the endings were completely pyrrhic in my opinion.
better question is how could they mess up an ending this bad after DA:O IMOTamiBx wrote...

ME2 was perfect (unless you romanced someone in ME1, but I could deal with it, no big deal).
How could they mess up the ending of ME3 so much after such an amazing ending for ME2??
Excuse me while I go cry a little over there in that lonely corner....

When you said you didn't want to completely upset him, I thought you meant you didn't want to see your brother upset, but it was actually because you didn't want your disc broken...way to be nice
Oh, I would never play a game without knowing what is waiting for me. No no no. I like to get the best possible ending ever, since I hate losing...and this game gave me no option, so I got very, veeery mad halfway through it. Complained the whole time to my mom. Whenever a character said they were ready or doubted themselves, I would reply to the TV "It doesn't matter, Shep is dying anyways, and everyone is crashing in some weird planet"

not that the ending was taken in the wrong direction its that it makes

i hated that, im dieing and instead of tali showing up (without her mask, good opportunity to put model in game IMO) there is Liara looking at me, not that i dislike Liara because i think she's awesomeMr Chr15topher wrote...
That's another thing that needs to be changed. As Shepard is dying due to his/her "choice" at the end, instead of seeing Liara, (s)he should see whoever his/her LI was.
