Except that most fans *won't* feel like they're treated like crap.

You may insert the "But they are and the worst part is they just don't know better." meme here.[/quote]

I didn't know theres a meme for that, lol.

Also that day1 patch nonsense is another factor. You need a patch immediately when the game comes out... yeah that isn't suspicious at all. What needed to be fixed? Is it agme breaking, or corrupting? Or is it an "unlock the full game" type of thing...  I swear if Bioware is indeed hiding the true endings, they will be gods. Seriously.. all this drama was for nothing and it worked.

Don't get your hopes up on the "day 1 patch" thing. Nearly every dev nowadays releases one, given the industry trend of going gold with an earlier release-candidate build then devoting all available resources during the month or two between that and retail release to QA. Plus, between the space edition, numerous leaks, and the release of the pirated Russian retail version, the game's already been datamined to hell and gone and the information gleaned from that distributed. At this point, what we see is what we're going to get.

And, patching in extra endings is pretty well out of the question. To have gotten that past the dataminers would have meant adding all the relevant audio and video files and scripting (writing and programming) in the patch itself. That'd be a big patch, in the neighborhood of a few hundred megabytes at least. That'd fly on PSN and for the PC, but has significant problems for XBL given Microsoft's pretty stringent about patch sizes and the amount of free content that can be distributed for each title.

The Day One patch will probably only fix bugs, but the day one dlc could add an ending.

Yeah, am I'm sure they're still pissed about the fact that ME went from 360 exclusive to 360 and PC to all major platforms.

Next trilogy, I'm gonna be able to play it on my microwave.

No you need to buy the ME edition fighter jet.

Yeah, no. Not for a while after anyway. I swear every major release of almost every major game has something wrong with it right out of the box.

That's one way to sell DLC, damn.

Seriously, even just in the RPG world; I love all the following games, but still.

Witcher 2: Crap ending
Deus Ex: HR: Crap ending
Skyrim: Ugly, much better now.

And I dislike this one:

DA2: Crap... uh, almost everything.

ohhh cay while i partialy agree ond the DA II thing explain to me why DE:HR had a crappy ending a plese do the Same with witcher 2 and Skyrimi becuase those had great endings, labeit ind witcher 2 enidn was a bit rushed.

There's a poll here. I'm sure the devs will likely seek input from something less convoluted than a 400 page thread.

text epilogue in the patch perhaps (a couple depending on your choices) wouldn't be all that much, no?

I hate to be obnoxious and say this again, but i would like to add that the review at IGN is PAST the 20 hour mark in game time and he is still not even close to being done with the game.

Maybe he will have a different ending since he is being a lot more prefectionist? I still don't understand how someone can have a complete playthrough with all side missions in just 23 hours. How does he even know where all the side quests are? *cry

What mode did Xoisite play? Roleplay, Action, or Story?

I believe he said that when you import, which he had, it automatically sets it to RPG mode.

In addition to what IGN mentioned, the polish review we have states that it's 15 - 20 hours for the main quest and 40 hours for everything completed.

And I will state again that the SA guy has said he's not sure 'they're definitely stranded', plus they seem genuinely happy. If you're willing to go back through pages and pages, you'll find where I gave the actual quotes.

Speaking of dreams, I had a dream that me3 sucked and I hated it. I woke up and my boyfriend said i was making the weird noises i make when I have a bad dream.

I don't think i will hate me3. A part of me thinks that there still has to be some ending somewhere that is happy, because we were told there would be a "golden ending". Bioware knows that what a lot of fans have been wanting for years. In addition i still have faith that the subplots will still be fun.

Not relative to ME3.

DE:HR made it all come down to the choice of a PP presentations and the end boss was horrible.
Witcher 2's ending was pretty good, but the rest of the chapter was lackluster at best. After chapters 1 and 2.
I just said Skyrim was not as pretty as it should have been, but they've remedied that.

Since PS likes their titles to have additional content, and they have less stringent file size guidlines for PSN, so you're saying it's possible that PS3 owners could get the rainbow and unicorns ending?

I would love to see the impact of that around here. Image IPB

That is what I don't get. How did he cut out 7-13 hours of gameplay? Maybe he played on easy and skipped a bunch of stuff?

One of the people who played the game who was a comminity manager did an AMA on reddit /r/masseffect and she said it took her weeks and weeks to finish because she wanted to complete every side mission and stuff. Even if she only had 1-2 hours a day to play it, that is a lot of game time.

As I said before, the requirements for a good ending are simple:

1) Reapers destroyed.
2) Spaceflight still works.
3) Crew /squad still alive if you did enough.
4) Shepard alive or dies heroically, player's choice.

That's it.

I would not care about number 2 I mean the relays are not the problem for me its the forced spilting up of the ship and crew from shepard if the the relays still stopped working but the crew got shepard and then crashed I would be fine with that

The problem with the endings is equally the railroading to relay destruction as it is the railroading to crew stranding. I want a game with ending diversity. Blow the relays in some, strand the crew in some but not all.  I want to be able to feel Shep has had an influence rather than being force feed whatever garbage canon Bioware wants.

Bioware actually gets marketing feedback from a burmese python they keep stored in a Mass Effect edition (with free DLC!) cardboard box and periodically throw hamsters at it for sustenance.

Days ago I felt in rage like the rest of you guys about the ending, However I realized now everyone is nit-picking a 3 shaded end cut scene and I think (hopefully) Bioware gave at least 110% to the overall game. I will applaud them for the effort if they make the rest of the journey worth the $80.00 (Collectors Edition). Plus have you guys check out this new video IGN posted Mass Effect 3 - A Tour of the Citadel. Say what you want about the ending, but I think the key exploration and easter eggs are still there. Most of us may not like or forgive what you done Bioware, but I thank you if you gave the effort for the experence and discovery we <3.

Defeat Reapers, receive popcorn. I'm OK with this.

You could probably wrap B.F. Skinner's casket in copper wire, attach a pair of leads, and power the entire East Coast indefinitely right now.
