By the way, to everyone out there, what were your favorite moments of ME1 ME2 and ME3???

For me respectively

Ilos Conduit to Saren boss battle run

The "Overlord" DLC when you finally find David Archer strapped to that machine (How many of you Renegade people actually had it in you to leave the poor guy up there.)

And the Tali conversations on Ranoch (especially if you romanced her)

Ditto that - imagine what they can produce by mid summer though since they are finally (?) dedicated to the ending and not Kinect...or MP...<_<

I wonder how much time they actually spent on the end sequence originally! lolz...

I doubt anyone sat down for more than ten minutes to write this particular ending before handing it off to the boss to burn it onto the CD to put it on the manufacturers assemblyline to send it off.

This was the most rushed, hacked job I've ever seen in writing.

I've done better with a full blown Vertigo attack while doped up on Meclazine.

I don't really doubt it truth be told.

A five year old putting a "rainbows and unicorns" ending could have done something a bit more satisfactory.

Kinect is super easy to actually put in.. don't think people realize that.  The API SDK from Microsoft is like Monkey Coder level.  It's WHY ME3 even has it.. they got screwing around with it and found out just how easy it was.

Multiplayer was done by Bioware Montreal, they were originally going to make a separate First Person Shooter game and then they decided to merge the two together.

I do suspect the end sequence wasn't done until the last minute.... they wouldn't know what variables they needed to account for until the game was pretty much done which meant it'd be late before they finally got to that scene... and then account for the fact they pushed the date back meaning they were already overschedule so it was probably really near the deadline.

I do think they'll be able to get some awesome stuff done though focusing on the ending DLC now :D

everything you just said except in ME2 mine was the cute rambling etc from Tali when you talk to her/romance her
and idk who does that, you have to be really heartless to leave him there IMO, was a really sad moment when i saw him the first time, i was in shock

ME3 - Fall of Thessia.. probably favourite scene the entire series.
ME1 - Citadel Alliance Backup Arrives - Equally stirring, and first I'd ever seen the whole fleet stuff going on.
ME3 again - The Liara Romance scene before the earth mission when she says "You could get lost amongst the stars"

ME1: Virmire (the sequence after setting the bomb mostly), Citadel attack
ME2: Jack's romance, whole suicide mission, burning that chatterbox of a krogan, LotSB
ME3: Shepard's Stand on Rannoch, the whole Menae mission, exploring the Thessia temple (especially w/ Liara and Javik), renegade interrupt on Kai Leng, Retaking Earth (until the Beam Charge)

The Thessia scene was very good moment truth be told. With Shepard yelling into the com to try and get to the survivors and all he/she can hear is the last of the resistance crumbling around him/her. It just serves to really deliver on the feeling of hoplesness and failure after you got beaten by the Plot armor shielded Kai Leng.

(On a side note I guess that's why Kai-leng is so underwhelming. A villain should not need plot armor to survive the heroes. The heroes should need plot armor to survive the villain (within reason))

I feel that it should have at least given you the chance to beat him if you teamed up on him and chipped his armor away fast enough. But I still understand the purpose of that scene. It pissed me off and made me want to kick Kai Leng's sculpted rear end.

We should have been able to take him no problem. In fact, I think it should have been a timed event. Take him down before the gun ship can line up it's shot and you get to get the information and Thane survives. Fail, and not only does Cerberus delay you even more, but Thane will die.

Just a thought.

I know it's not exactly linked to the quotes, but this just made me think that Kai Leng would've been better replaced by one of your old indoctrinated squadmates, depending on how you treat them. If you did ALL the loyalty missions, THEN the placeolder would've been Kai Leng...

I dont know, it would've made more interesting dialogues, choices, implications and boss fights to me:unsure:...

Yeah but Kai Leng there felt more appropriate to lose the control to.. he was dirty and used dirty tricks to force you into positions you had to rely on your friends to get out of.  But it DID make you REALLY mad.  Had I had a dreadnaught at my command I'm pretty sure I would have just ramming speeded it into the Cerberus base after that..

I dunno he underwhelmed me more because he had no real backstory besides the short bits they gave him.  But that did set it up well.. it made me more angry.  Shepard should not have lost to him there, the dirty tricks are why he won there, and I think that helped bring out the anger.  Cerberus used dirty tricks to win, not a straight up fight, not a fair fight.

Edit: This would have been a perfect explination as to why Jacob suddenly dumps your butt and in the space of 6 months takes up with an old flame and gets her pregnant. Putz...

Kai Leng was just annoying to me. In my opinion the whole Kai Leng, Cerberus thing should have been fleshed out prior to ME3 via an expansion. TIM could've still been around but with more emphasis on Harby and the Reaper battles. I think it would have been neat if we (depending on our choices) could have had a chance to turn TIM to our side or use him as a vehicle of deceit against the Reapers...but then again knowing what I know now that never would have worked with the spacebaby...and the beginning sequence, but still!  :P

I just hate the focus on Ceberus in ME3, I never felt like the real battle ever played out!

The Kai Leng thing was just awful....he's part of the reason the Cerberus story arc is so elongated.....

Some of my favorite parts of ME

ME1- Going out onto the planets in the Mako. I know most people hated it but I loved driving through the stormy planets and looking up at the huge moons and suns. And the ending Convincing Saren to off himself, and the Sovereign battle.

ME2- Jack's whole storyline. Being paragon to her and/or romancing her and seeing her personality change. Honestly she's my favorite character in the whole series, I was pissed she wasn't a crew member in ME3.

ME3- Any scene/storyline where one of the former ME2 cast members died. I don't get too emotional usually, but when Mordin started singing and Koylet started that prayer, I was getting a little teary eyed. Even when Legion asked "does this unit have a soul" got me going.

Nah. Cerberus needed to delay us so the plot could be what it was. The thing is, like I said a couple of (hundred) pages back. Kai Leng should not have been the main villain of this game. Thane could kick his ass. A terminally ill Drell. That automaticaly makes Kai Leng less skilled than Thane, who was your subordinate in ME2

That already starts him as a very underwhelming character to begin with.

Compounding his sheer underwhelming glory is the fact that he needs plot armor to beat you later.

And cementing the notion that he's all bark and no bite Shepard is able to take him down in what is literally a two hit combo in a cinematic.

Kai Leng should have been replaced outright or "buffed" with a team.

Kai leng could be eliminated completely or be made the team "leader"

But essentially Cerberus' anti-Shepard operators would consist of a group of four to five people that can ultimately go toe to toe with any of Shepard's own squadmates

Garrus-long range support

Tali/Edi- computer hacking

Liara/Javik-Biotics

Vega- Tank/meatshield

Ashley- Close range

Shepard- Commander.

That's how I would have designated the "Cerberus comandoes"  If I woulda done em. That way you have a full team that is against Shepard, it sure as hell wouldn't have been the same level of plot armor Kai Leng had with that gunship if all 6 of those specialists would have shown up. Shepard would have been outnumbered by an enemy with superior position over his/her team.

Rather than one guy with a gunship at his back (Didn't we take one of those down with little more than cojones after Garrus to a Rocket to the face?)
