The guy who started it capped it at $80,000 because he was getting overloaded with emails and stuff and then Child's play cut everything off because Penny Arcade, their founders, didn't like us using their charity as a beacon to our movement (especially since they disagreed with it lol)

I think this video contains informations about the anime "Paragon Lost". Need to watch it myself, too.

Yeah shame IGN was evil and just using those as more advertising for ME3 or those would have been a lot funnier

I've only just got to this post, what I'm about to say will probably have already be said when I post this, but the will be both an anime and a full movie with real people in. It's being produced by avi arad (I think thats how its spelt) and some of the Bioware guys are helping to make it to ensure it's accurate.
Apparently it's going to be the same story as the games picking the most popular choices to make the canon.
That will probably mean the following:
Liara as LI
Wrex lives
Rachni saved
Genophage cured
Ashley survives
Everyone survives collector base

Unless they pull a Resident Evil and create a brand new main character just for the movie.

No, Childs Play asked for the charity drive to be wound down because people were mistaking them as being part of the retake movement in some form. As a Charity Child's Play could not be seen to be supporting another group that was working to an agenda that had nothing to do with what Child's Play had been set up for. 

Basically Child's Play was being placed in a difficult position where their charity status could have been questioned, or even potentally revoked.

Child's play stated that they understood what retake was trying to do, and as far as I know have NEVER indicated they disagreed with what retake was trying to do. Comments and/or opinions of individual members from Child's Play are/were tyhe comments of the individual and NOT those of the charity itself.

I like them as zombie/ horror films, but I don't like to think of them as Resident Evil. I enjoyed the first 2 films as they stuck fairly well with the game's story, but the powers kinda ruined it as a Resident Evil series, not to mention the clones.

I now just pretend that they are a seperate IP so that I can enjoy them.

I can see it now.  Normandy comes in for a landing, hovers over Eden Prime, the door drops down, and a pair of armoured boots drop to the ground, rousing music rises to a crescendo in the background as bits of dirt fly from random non-direct reaper fire.  The camera pans back and upward revealing a pair of bare legs, short shorts, and a tight tanktop with dual shoulder holsters... and the new main character, played by Mila Jovovich, Alice.
