I liked DA2 as well.. I'll admit the whole "never really leave the city" thing got old quick... but they definitely had a good story behind it all and it was a solid game.  Taken in medium sized doses with breaks between rather than my marathon playthrough probably would have helped too :P

Breaks? What's that?

Haha. I never take breaks when playing video games. Once I start it, I have to finish it...

Way this is going we're going to be a bunch of smoking piles of ash and the general store guy is going to be left standing in the middle of it, only one still alive. :P

No need to kill your friend, you know...

I did play a Rogue in DA:O and DA2 because Alistair will only marry a human noble, so I decided to make a Rogue gameplay.  Stupid Alistair <_<

Off topic: I adored DA:O but never got DA2. Worth it?

Eh that's a tough one. I didn't hate it as much as alot of people. Still there's a very sharp difference between in and DAO.

Things I liked. Some of the story moments in the game were really awesome. I'd even say some of the story moments in the game were some of the best I've ever seen with Bioware, though of course not all are as great. Fights actually could be challenging. On the harder difficulty settings, boss fights were often really long and difficult affairs, lasting 20 minutes or more, which I personally enjoyed. Pretty good dlc, especially the second. They brought back all companion voice actors for dialogue, which is very rare in dlc.

Things I didn't like. There's no real central plot or goal. Well there KINDA is, though its only alluded to until the last chapter. There's no real villain. Its mostly just "guy piddles around for 6 years solving different smaller plots." Combat could feel pretty button mashy and repetitive, depending on your class. It was kinda dumbed down from the previous game. Ending isn't quite as bad as ME3, but its kind of a "lots of speculation" ending. It sucks but is more acceptable as they're obviously setting up a sequel. Finally aside from.a couple, I didn't really like your companions. Alot of them were just very sour and unpleasant. Also some are kinda one note characters where about 50-75% of their dialogue involves their particular issue.

Overall despite the flaws I did kinda enjoy it. It certainly earned more playthroughs than ME3, barring some awesome stuff in this ending dlc.

Also, if you plan on playing DA3, might want to get DA2 to import and have your choices affect the ending...oh wait. It might just not matter at all in the end...

Nah, the DA team at PAX showed they actually listen to the fans, so I doubt they'll repeat that mistake. And you don't need to buy DA2 just for the import cuz Gibbed will undoubtedly release a DA3 Save Editor. Seriously, that guy way too much free time (and we love him for it).

I liked playing as the Human Noble... She got to sleep with someone in the very begining of the game, and never mentions it to her LI~!

DA2 sets up the universe for DA3

DAO was the intro

DA2 the setting

DA3 is gonna be where the real story gets started. (I'm fairly sure DA is a series they're gonna have to continue until at least DA4 or DA5

But the best written Character of DA2 will always be

That's exactly what I think it will be.
That's why I wasn't so upset when DA2 was amazing, because I felt like it was setting up the universe for DA3 and so on. And don't they call it franchise rather than trilogy? So yeah, most likely more than 3. :)

P.S. I loved killing the Arishok. Being a mage during the duel made things so easy.

I loved the Arishok as a villain. Because quite frankly it was a villain I could respect. I may not agree with the Qun on some things but I do in others and The Arishok, even though he hates Kirkwall and its ways, tries to (if you have enough persuasion and do enough good things for the Qunari) see just what is it about this place that Hawke finds so tolerable.

"You enjoy this madness?"

"Its life, its supposed to be chaotic."

"Hrmm."

Not an agreement but not an outright dismissal either.

So yea. I've always wanted the option to let him live without sacrificing Isabella.

Fine, she may have stolen the damn thing and caused a ****load of trouble but if she didn't consider you a friend she wouldn't have come back at all. Good graces are not repaid with ill action.
