Ok, you both get points for the Hitchhikers reference lol.
20 pages....hehe

Also, question for the masses. What sort of game would you lot like to see in the next contest?

That's the conundrum - what is dark energy, what does it consist of and how is it able to influence stars?

Conrad Verner should have the answer to those questions ;)

Wow just been looking round the forum and the venom from pro enders towards those who don't like the ending is far worse than what I saw when DA2 was released. Strange thing is they don't back it up by say why they like the ending. Wouldn't suprise me if some ppl didn't bother coming back to the forums like I did over DA2.

On a side note have any read this http://social.biowar...11229139-1.html

Yes it's completely ridiculous. We haven't been hurling abuse at anyone for enjoying the endings, we have accepted that not everyone agrees with us, but it's always nice to see that people make the effort to understand what the debate is about before running their mouths. (or their fingers in this case)

I'm one of those who actually liked the ending of Dragon Age II, believe it or not. It's just that I've never posted in any of the DA forums because the Mass Effect discussions were always much more interesting (that, and I didn't play DA:O until late in '10 or early '11, IIRC). I liked the tonal and thematic shift that the storyline itself implied, wherein Hawke is essentially just another guy/gal trying to make his/her way in the world and looking out for family and friends. Thus, to me it follows that the ending is essentially taken out of your hands and you're powerless to stop the big "It Got Worse" moment.

Of course, then BioWare had to go and make a different character entirely to carry DA3, if it ever gets made. I'll admit that hearing about that particular choice kind of dampened my enthusiasm (this was long before encountering ME3).

I liked DA2 as well. I would just like to know what ends up happening to Hawke and my Warden.

Duke Nukem Forever?

Wanted to give that one a go despite the critical paddling session it received; not that I'd actually pay for the darn thing...

anytime i run into someone who likes the endings i tell them im glad they liked it/i respect their opinion on the matter and discuss civily what they liked/see things from their point of view, most of them don't take the same approach with us though :(

No they don't but unfortunately there's nothing we can do to change that. We're staying civil and Bioware has responded to that. In the end of the day, they're the ones we want listening to usl

Lol, what do you mean? There is no meaning to life.

Edit: I'd say reproduction, from our cells, to our invertebrate ancestors, to our vertebrate ones, etc. Everything with a tiny bit of existence will automatically try to make more of itself, oddly...

Anyways, 3:30 so it might not be the time to debate philosophie and astrophysics :pinched:

Depends on what everyone else wants. As always, majority counts.
Keep in mind though, it won't be a collectors edition of any game. Probably $70 game on Steam.

Next contest should be in about 2 months.

There is no inherent meaning of life.

There is, however, meanings which we can either inherit from others or create for ourselves. The latter tend to be the most fulfulling, at least in my experience.

I'm fairly certain it is their EA overlords that we want listening. Lets face it, it is EA that holds their purse strings...if EA pays attention, maybe they will send some more $$ BioWare's way to fix things.

Even tho I wasn't the biggest fan of DA2 (I missed my Wardens) I did however wanted to see what happened to Hawke and his companions up to the point where Varic says they split and went their own ways.

basically this (got this from an article) "In fact, one last piece of Dragon Age 2 DLC was being worked on
(it was to have been called Exalted March), but BioWare decided to scrap that and move on to the next Dragon Age project"
edit: a different article but sums it up http://www.eurogamer...-the-next-thing

That's a shame, I liked the dlc that they put out for DA2. But it will be interesting to see what they do with DA3.

I've been attemping to keep that vote out of here because it's highly biased, there is no opt out option, you can only vote to support, that is not the way to set a vote.

You're right. I didn't notice that. Sorry.

Was the author of the poll contacted about this issue ?

Ok question for everyone. Bearing in mind that realistically the Extended Cut dlc will not cut out the Star Brat or change that part of the ending very much if at all, what would the EC dlc need to provide to make you happy with it?

The person who posted the link has been, they are from I can tell in contact with the vote author, but so far it looks like they are not going to change it because they do not wish to lose 12 hours of votes.
