Gonna skim back through stuff in a minute but gotta say I'm glad the billboard thing has been suspended. No offence intended to those who supported it, I just don't think it's a good idea.

I agree it wasn't a good idea and I think it would have hurt the cause more than it would have helped.

That begs the question. What makes Bioware an exception for the bad ME3 endings?

The Leafs did screw up pretty hard, lol. Canadians tend to be good at apologizing when they do things wrong, I don't know why Bioware seems intent on being an exception. I know they can do it too, lol.

Was it in Shoot 'em up where the hero is in bed with some woman and during the act all the bad guys start rushing in. He doesn't even stop just changing sex positions while shooting them? Kinda reminds me of that.

With the part and the geth consensus I think I might have gone with the indipendance day(movie) route. I know not the most clever idea but I kinda thought it might go in that direction during the part with legion.

I dunno. I'm sure I could do it if someone was paying me too. It'd suck regardless, but it can be done.

It certainly won't make the endings better though. All they've decided here is that they're going to do all the speculating for us, when it was meant for everyone, the players. Bioware is now directly infringing on Casey Hudson's artistic integrity and vision . Irony

im semi afk for about 3 days, and im looking at all the other threads here... jesus alot of stuff is going on...

we know for a fact exploding mass relays DESTROY SOLAR SYSTEMS
the ENTIRE UNIVERSE IS WIPED OUT NO-ONE IS ALIVE EVERYONE IS DEAD
and yet bioware staff say
"the relays are just damaged"
uuumm yyyyyyyeah damaged so much they exploded soooo yyyyeeeeaaahhhh.
bioware is changing there story so it looks like bioware is backtracking and are activly changing the story as they go along.
if there changing the story on an active basis then that means they should just pull the game off the shelves and then finish the story the way it was supposed to be.

THEN release it, bioware screwed up BIG time by totally rewriting the ending because of there own staff leaked a script in NOVEMBER 2011 and we all KNEW the game was finished and ready for release.

but due to there own stupidity they then recalled ALL the voice actors, spent MORE money on paying them, adding in some multiplayer crap.

now toss in the remarks made by the producers, directors and the co founders 2 WEEKS before the world wide release that hyped it waaaaaay up.

mass effect 3 dident need to be hyper hyped up it already had it,
we had staff saying "there would be no A,B or c ending" epic fail there was,
we had staff saying "multiplayer will NOT affect your single player game" EPIC FAIL IT DOES

nearly EVERYTHING said in interviews was total and utter BULLCHIT

you know the saying "all it takes is one person to ruin EVERYTHING"

well the same can be said about mass effect 3 , the game was 99% pure awesome win and it took just 1% to utterly kill and ruin the game and the ending was THAT 1%.

but rumours popping up are ending up being true about TWO certain people who rewrite the ending ON THERE OWN without showing the other people the ending and those TWO people ruined a great game.

the ending(s) for the game on the "leaked" script gave us a much better variation a much better interaction with the starbrat (which was in the game from conception) the "chat" with the starbrat we had more choices we had the ability to reject the brats choices and yet POW the leak happns and we lose those choices.

the people who rewrote the script did this to punish US to punish the players over your own staffs clusterf**k leak so yeah am now rambling and ranting.

but yeah the mass relays are not damaged they exploded and from the cut scene after tha we saw every solar system get wiped out, every life in the universe is dead, there gone, nothing survived
its hard core cannon meaning they cant change that part of the lore, its ingraned into ME lore.

what i put in my rewrite, the crucible was never a insta-reaper-killer button it was a means to give whatever races completed it a fighting chance, it only permanently disabled all reaper barriers,  the energy was still sent throughout the galaxy in the same fashion but did not destroy/disable the relays, if something like this was in the game EMS would determine if you can pull off the victory or not, the casualties etc, in my rewrite though the war went on for over a year afterwards and shep gets the rest with LI he deserves(tali) with an epilogue type thing that is 3 years after the end of the war lol better stop there before i ramble on listing out every detail thats in my rewrite

I honestly thought when we had the Normandy coordinating targeting the Reaper on Rannoch, it was a small foreshadowing of how the battle for earth would go. I was imagining that all of the war assets and their groups would be takling out the reapers in the same way. They'd fight to get to the reaper, when it shoots at the target, everyone else attacks it, etc. There would have been lots of room for losses and tragedy for BW but it could have shown our WA using our tactics to take them out. I thought the catalyst and the crucible would be along the same lines, only on a larger scale. Like maybe all the WA helping the crucible/catalyst in some similar way. It would have been an epic cut scene at least.

That's what I'm talking about when I said even I could make the endings make sense. How hard is it to make up stuff as you go along? They can change the rules to whatever they want, they're the ones telling the story.

That doesn't mean that they had these expanations ready all along, or that this is good writing, or that they're not warping everything to try to meet the player's demands.

seems like divide and conquer has been put in place. Alot of retakers bashing eachother instead of having a common goal. well played.... well played. But i doubt it will work in the long run.

if they over loaded then wouldent have exploded, the cut scenes clearly show exploding relays.

but like i said there changing the core lore to suit there own needs, there screwing it up even more
