I'm still questioning what the hell it was that made them think it was ok to go with this ending either way, but the idea of them coming up with this ending after months or years of thinking it through is so much worse.

Yeah, it really is ridiculous. The facebook group said they had a list of reasons why HTL shouldn't be associated with Retake and said they'd be made public... they've yet to manifest.

I just don't understand why. I've really enjoyed chatting with most of the people I've met in this community, and I think we've really had an impact. I don't understand the reasoning behind doing this kind of thing now. 

I guess the question is are we all working towards the same thing. As far as I'm aware the answer is yes so I don't understand what was going on between Retake and HTL, a bit like cutting off your nose to spite your face. This is not the kind of thing you decide to get precious about. People are expressing their dissatisfaction in different ways so trying to ostracize one group from another is silly.

Indeed. All we want is better endings. And we haven't gotten them yet. The attempt at power flexing was just absurd, and I hope everyone is back on the same page.

I've been playing a little bit of ME3 (gasp), but as much as I'd love to, I just don't enjoy it anywhere near as much as I did the first time. I've considered going back to something dinky like The Sims, where you can get all the rainbows and unicorns you like, but ... I want to want to play ME3. Plus TS comes through EA and Origin too.

Well summer is coming up and after summer classes, I wil be visiting India but... I don't know. I just don't see how all this happened. I was so hyped for Mass Effect 3 that I kept drawing N7's on everything I turned in. I started taking notes in the Quarian font. Now, I am depressed and am slowly recovering. But all this anti-retaker anger is just...sad.

Let's get a little bit of perspective please. The three Mass Effect games have been fantastic overall, it is the ending of ME3 that has gotten everyone upset. Bioware have created an immersive universe that made us all care about the characters and the outcome. We want them to effect changes and that won't happen if it descends into Bioware bashing for the sake of it.

Sorry Phoenix, would love to, but don't want to show favoritism haha.
However, I may do The Witcher 1 EE give-away competitions every 2 weeks...So there may be more chances to win.

I don't know if it qualifies, given that I spent like 500 words talking about what I liked in the game, and probably over 2,000 words on things that pissed me off about the game that aren't even related to the ending. Also, I think I might get suspended from this board for spamming if I made a 3,200 word post, lol.

Check the competition rules. Size does not matter. Your post has valid content. So it is a valid post for the competition.

You won't get kicked from the thread for a large post though. However, it may make peoples eyes bleed.
