But a "fragile" pattern emerges from BSN, Twitterverse etc… BW really planned an "ending DLC"… They just underestimated fans uproar… and fans access to media tools. So the plan completely failed but they went along this plan anyway… PR statements… but again instead of calming down they got opposite. I think now, they trying to improvise but again it doesn't work. And Summer is well light years away….
The only other alternative is… The Ending is really that bad or was rushed… No matter what we are in lost/lost situation.
Well if they didn't have an "ending dlc" planned I would like to hear from Mike Gamble once the extended cut etc has been released what on earth he meant by his tweet saying if only we knew what they were planning we'd keep our ME3 saves forever!
Some super- duper pay dlc´s ? I guess it was tweeted for calming down the fans.
At least, I don´t know if Bioware understood why there is such a protest by the fans. How can you go and explain an ending, that doesn´t fit to a series. In Mass Effect they tried to explain everything with physics (remember that marines talking about Newton´s laws?). But in the end Darth Godchild appears from nowhere, making me think that he was made for SWTOR and was accidently put in ME3.
There is Space Magic combining Shepards DNA with everthing else, making every living being a synthetic and little bit shepard. How does it work? How ist DNA transported by a light beam to every living organism and furthermore, how are circuits planted into everthing? Shepard says that we want to choose for ourselves what we are. But then I get the possibility to synthesis everything without asking for permission, because Darth Godchild says it is the best solution? Oh yes...
The ending remains what it is to me, lousy. And to be honest, if Bioware only wants to explain why it is the way it is, I am done.
Players will achieve the best possible ending! That´s what we were told.
You can choose between
- being grilled by electrical lightnings (that looks painfull)
- being vaporized to combine your DNA with everything else (if he/she wants or not) (that looks painfull, too)
- being killed by an explosion right in front of you (you might fall back on earth from a height of 500 km, enter the atmosphere, reach a temperature of ~ 1000°C, hit the ground right in London and take a breath, if there are enough allies on earth who might absorb your impact) and destroy all synthetic life (the geth gained full consciousness, Edi) ( btw. the Quarians are connected to their suites, too, what about people with biotics, or other synthetic implants)
None of the looks good to me.
I remember playing ME1, the moment, when I convinced Saren to fight against the Implants, the moment Sovereign is destroyed and Shepard came from the wreckage.
I don´t want an ending flying with pegasus into the sunset, but i want the possibility to survive, to make my efforts count. But in the end I am treated like a child ("1,2 oder 3, letzte Chance ist vorbei! Ob ihr wirklich richtig steht, seht ihr wenn das Licht angeht" ["1,2 or 3, last chance is gone! Whether your are standing right, you can see when the light turns on"]. 1,2 oder 3 was and still is a famous quiz show for kids in german tv)
I want to look upon a nearly destroyed earth, I know there are casualties, I know a lot of good man were lost, but in the end there is hope, the races of the galaxy united, the destruction of the reapers, our galaxy is safer, for the moment (ME4, I will buy you. ME MMORG, I will buy you). I don´t see it. I am depressed by the ending, it makes me sad I don´t want to play the series anymore. That is all because of the actual ending.
