Well saving the council in Mass Effect 1 had no effect on the outcome of the Collector Base.

I think the story is different, where some people show up or don't (eg. Wrex or Wreav, Kaiden or Ashley, etc) based on your choices, but even Mass Effect 2's ending was very similar.

We were not told that ME2 had 12 or 16 different endings. Yes our choices were only flavours but it was still much more than we got in ME3. It doesn't make any difference if someone died. You get same exact sidequests which they make their cameo.

Wait a second. Artemis Fowl as in...the books? I haven't read those books in years!

But back to the topic: yes, no one promised 16 endings that were not a, b and c when ME2 came out. They should've just promised colorful explosions where you get to pick the color. And oh, Space Magic :wizard:

Indeed. The whole pre-release blitz and indeed the game itself kept emphasizing survival against "suicidal odds." You had to work for your happy ending it's true, but at least the option to obtain one was there.

But I don't care. I really don't care.

WRT this "Extended Cut" DLC, I'm not even sure at this point whether the "wait and see" option is even worth it. Sure it's supposed to be free, but, given recent history and the press release itself...

Does anyone here remember the good old days, back when having a reporter show up at your company was grounds for extreme worry mode (to the point that certain "low-brow" shops would consider ordering a "hit")? Back then, a jounalist wasn't afraid to get his or hands really dirty, going places where they "shouldn't" and wringing every ounce of juice out of a story.

These days, you can just hand them a form-letter press release and they'll go away satisfied.

Nothing worth it... is free.

No company would develop something as big as what ME3 needs for free.

It would be, on the worst case scenario as  lengthy as lotsb. And that is being generous.

Regroup after waking up
getting onto the citadel
Fighting to the citadel tower
Conglomeration of choices throughout the games.
Final boss

an analogy with ME1. You've arrived at Illos through the Mu relay, you watch the geth fleet in orbot... Joker does that insane stunt to land the mako. You crash and... the end.

Thats basically it. How did you stopped the reapers... really stopped them not the rainbow bs.

How did you got into the citadel. who did you met onboard.

What of what you did, or whom you gathered mattered.

End.

Maybe Shepard should just sacrifice Diana Allers to Harbinger. Then they all could be friends.

Diana Allers is made of inorganic material; the Reapers wouldn't be interested in her.

This
was new to me.

A snippet:

"Stories must be full spectrum narratives, able to fit themselves to
tellings as videogames, comics and graphic novels, traditional novels,
feature film and television and Internet productions (live action or
animated).  And all these iterations of a core story will be subject to
constant fan comment for revision and extension.
This is the brave new
world that Dickens would have embraced as liberating rather than
destructive of his authorship, the tool of “reader” feedback having now
become an instantaneous and continuous global information stream that
will propel forward those who learn to navigate it, and drown those who fear a “loss of control” in uncharted waters."

Bioware should read.

Enjoy!  :)

Throwing away all the pseudo-science of what you said, all we're asking for is to be able to chuck Diana Allers down what appears to be a bottomless pit. I don't think that's too much to ask.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I don't think she did that bad of a job. Sure the VA was a bit stilted, and the dress was definately something a studio report rather than an embedded correcpondant would wear. I also don't find Snookie attractive, and I'm not alone in that. But it's not better or worse than a product placement.

Obviously the fact that she was a game reporter was both a bit of a funny and a conflict of interest. But given how bias they all seemed to be I consider that a wash.

Okay so I just noticed something... You guys remember how in ME2 Garrus took a rocket to the side of his face and had that weird bandage/synthetic thingy stuck on him like the entire game... Well he doesn't have it in ME3... what happened to it?

The wound healed, he now has scars.
