i remember a convo with garrus in me2

me1 ( the star light story)

in me2

when you talk to garuss he mentions something like i feel sorry for the reapers, collectors and whoever else afterwards

is that a hint at there is something more powerfull then the reapers? ( star child maybe?)

You're reading too much into it.

Nah I don't think so, I think he was just meaning that no matter what Shepard will kick all kinds of ass.
*sighs* shame really, Shepard becomes Space Hitler <_<

You're right!, I mean everyone has heard that the ending sucks whether they play the game or not.

My friend has never played Mass Effect in his life, and when I mentioned it he was like "Yeah all I hear about is how crap that ending was"

It's like they are clinging to any positive public press they can...which, unfortunantly, is the 75 perfect scores. It is on damn near every poster, ad and video for ME3 that I have seen...bugs me to no end. They may as well just remove it.

Also, the fact they try to hide behind it as a reason to not change...is...well...sickening and irritating. But that could just be me.

i mean if you think about it it kind of does make a bit of sence

because just think for a moment

starchild says he made the reapers to bring order to chaos right?

what if he and he alone is a lucifer/satan type that will trick shepard into either controll sythesis or destroy?

either way shepard dies and starboy lives on

Well I can understand them clinging to the positive, but I agree it's everywhere and they should really just remove it, but they wont lol.

Now them hiding behind it is definitely sickening and very very annoying!. So it's not just you lol.

Unfortunantly, the "s" word is all we have at the moment...until BioWare stop being so closed mouthed over...everything.

Mine survived.
And I don't think they really planed the ending in ME2.
If the quality of the ending would fit but not it doesn't.
Ending is rushed..

Yeah I guess that's right, just can't believe how much I hate the words "clarity", "speculation", "closure", and of course "artistic" and "integrity"  lol.

But they're not being closed mouthed, they're respecting their team's artistic integrity - we're just too silly to understand it Image IPB

Bioware seems to rely on abstract "silent majority" who are ok with the ending and ignore vocal minority of Retake Movement. But that is not the case. Silent majority are not satisfied with endind, but they prefer to stay silent. Bioware is in dead situation. Their choice is between writers arrogance and possible loss of 70% of their customers.

Honestly, I think that the problem is not with EA. They are businessmen with no morals, but they understand that they will lose a lot of money if the controversy will not end ASAP. It's Bioware main writers who can't stand the idea that they have made a mistake. EA are greedy, but not arrogant/stubborn, Bioware is opposite. Though, it was EA fault in the first place, maybe if they haven't rushed Bioware to finish the game so fast, a lot of problems could be avoided before this all started.

I am somewhat of a small businessman, so I can predict that EA will force Bioware to change the ending, even if they have to fire the main writers. This is business. But if fans will surrender, EA will take Bioware's side. So, if you want to change the ending of ME3, you have to HOLD THE LINE!

*claps* I just want to say I agree with you on EA, I haven't said anything about it before because I wasn't sure how to say it, and I didn't want people to yell at me lol (that was a joke)
EA are greedy like you said but they are clearly NOT stupid, then again if that's the case why are EA not poking at BioWare to give the fans/customers what they want? <_<

Edit: Think of the amount of money they could make from Alternate Endings instead of the FREE "Extended Cut"

I dont know if either we are all incredibly stupid and dont see the underlying message (Perhaps it is something like dont litter, or warns against animal abuse or something.
Or if they simply didn't have an artistic underlying message - but they use artistic impression as a scape goat for not making any sence whatsoever.

I believe those Bioware writers that wrote the ending are incredibly stubborn and refuse to change the ending. They do really believe in artistic vision. Anyway, EA will look into situation. It will be a hard choice for EA between customers and those writers. If customers impact on business will be stronger than usefulness of 2 writers who made the ending, EA will fire them and ask another people from Bioware writing team to remake the ending.

Yeah I agree they are really stubborn, pretty much proven by them constantly using the same excuses the biggest one being "the teams artistic vision".

I sincerely hope you are right, I hope EA pay close attention to everything as for the impact on buisness, I'm worried about that...the recent FREE MP DLC proves that some people have no will power, I mean sure it was free but it still shows them that people are downloading. If the people here had NOT downloaded the MP DLC it would have given a good impression on our resolve.

Thanks for the thoughtful posts. I agree they're in a tough spot right now. As bad as we think the ending is, from their perspective after pouring that much time and effort (well, relatively speaking) into their ending, one can understand why they would want to stand by it and not be so quick to admit that it didn't go down well. At the same time, that work is out there representing a business, and so whatever standpoint they take in regards to defending their work has to be balanced out with a consideration of what is best for the business.

Guys! Look how far this has come!
You are actually lending your hopes on...EA!! Is the situation that bad already, or did their indoctrination succeed!?

I really dont think EA will become our "cavalry". Not even for profit. There is a clear message for us customers to be delivered. It says that we dont have influence on their products. That they wont bow to customers wishes. For that we are too weak, because most of us will buy the enxt EA/Bioware product anyway, no matter how many have sworn off them here in the last month.

Only Bioware themselves can make a step towards us. And they still dont know for sure that we, who hated the endings, really are the majority. Look at their twitter site. The endings do get more praises for some time now...

Good morning everyone.

Reporting to duty after a horrid night of nuclear apocalypse trying to scrounge some food and other supplies and to find a safe enough place to try to survive until radiation does me in.

On the other hand, that was one of my more cinematic nightmares, maybe I should try to work it into a story or movie or something.
