As for who is hugging who. I can't be certain, but it is definately more liberal than in the ME games. Seriously, why is Kelly the only one to offer a hug? You interactions with your LI in ME2 and ME3 range from indifferance to hot clothed sex, with very little in between. I wouldn't call that a LI, I would call it a booty call.

Oh I'm with you, this is just too bizarre for Bioware to have done. These guys are supposed to be even more invested in the series than we are. I honestly think there's a very good chance we're being played. If this is true and they come out with something amazing their sales are going to go through the roof.

LOL another forum I got called BW worshiping for my theory - but I've had it from the very beginning - ran it by my dad who was a CFO of a fortune 500 company before retiring....

Laid out all the evidence - everything that's happened - he said actually on paper - it would of looked really good - a bit risky; but for a gaming company something very doable.  He goes you poined out what went wrong; and now they won't/can't admit it -

Makes to reasons why - BW won't take any of the ways we've given to get out of this mess; easiest IT......because they already have it.......

Fired up Steam - fired up ME - and crashed - I was ......

Then fired up ME - and it bluescreened my computer - nothing else has bluescreened my system - not 24 hours of prime 95 - running bitcoin.......

Ahm, don't assume that. It depends on the culture. Brazilian guys do hug, but Japanese people (even women) do not hug. Ever. For me...well, let's say I'm not into hugging people that much (at least not in person) 


And yes!! I loved how in DA:O you can turn to people whenever and talk to them, and if they were your LI, you could kiss them too. But in ME, all conversations are limited...at least in ME1 and 2 you could talk to everyone on Normandy whever, but now they all respond like Zaeed (click-and-hear)

When I first saw the ending.. I was so botherd and emotional burned out I couldn't sleep the whole night, cause I was thinking about the Mess I had seen.. trying to make some sense of it.. but I couldn't .. and then there came sadness.. dissappointment.. anger... the only thing that somhow made me happy was that a majority of people had the same opinion of the endings like me..

And I had never such felt such a dissappointment on a games ending bevore.. and I played a lot of games...

I thought you were asleep, but yeah all of the options given to you in the end don't make any sense for Shepard's character...

Hmmm...No, Shep might choose that one actually, I mean choices aren't meant to be easy after all and Shep is always there to make the hard ones.

Back on topic, though, I have this sinking feeling now that the "extended cut" is in fact what was previously known as the supposedly leaked "Truth" dlc.

Honestly, I just don't know what to think anymore. On one hand, we're almost jerks for giving them this much grief over the ending (I said almost, heh) if that turns out to be the case (time will tell), but on the other hand Bioware have brought this on themselves by abusing pre-release hype that didn't live up to what the game offered on release.

So, I prefer to think they just ran out of money and just had to finish the game and ship it as is (because, honestly, that would explain a lot, not only about the story falling apart in the end, but also abut the face import bug and all other unpolished and buggy things in game).

wait, wait, wait....... there were blue and green endings? lol but yeah i strongly believe the red lightshow is the only way to go because that starbrat is such a liar about nearly everything he says and contradicts himself literally seconds after he talks about the cycle, green is just evil, blue is what some indoctrinated crazy guy wanted you to do

Right there with you both, I wish my ME3 copy had been lost in the mail....at least I could have gotten my money back and I might have seen the articles about the ending and then not bothered buying it lol.

 Yeah, that irked me too. What is the point of a love interest if the player cannot kiss and hug on demand?  It seems like Mass Effect 3 became a chaos theory case of small dissapointing events leading to the kick to the gut ending (No quest management, typically tiny levels, etc cetera). Speaking of which, if g_Bassi is still here, did he/she post a link to that contest-winning commentary a few days ago? I bet I have similar gaming experiences to him/her in ME3.

I feel ya, man. I had the exact same experiance. I've been playing games since I was in pre-school, and I've never been more dissapointed in a game  ending than ME3. I know it sounds weird and all that, but when you put so much time into something, only to have this happen...

Yep exactly!, I accidently chose the blue ending first (stupid thing wouldn't let me turn back after a certain point ) so I watched, I cried, and then I thought I had done something wrong so I reloaded and chose the red one which is what I wanted in the first place only to have the exact same reaction and have the exact same ending...except my shep got blown up and the reapers didn't leave.

I personally think that most the blame lies with EA for not giving Bioware a longer production time, but also some with Bioware for thinking that fans would be happy with such a disconected ending, whether they ran out of time or not is irrelevant. Deus ex machina endings have never worked in anything that I have ever seen.
