@Mr. Bond, i don't understand why a lot of people actually believe everything the starchild says is set in stone/he is truthful when he's anything but truthful, he's got his plan that you can possibly undo(destroying the reapers, his solution thats been around for a very long time) and now he's suddenly ready to say to hell with this? No, like someone said earlier he's like a salesman, starts with the worst and goes to what he wants you to do at the end, he's going to do everything he can to mislead you
@everyone else, be back in an hour or so, my curiosity has gotten the better of me....

Exactly. Why did people believe him so easily? He's just a ghost image of some kid who died on Earth who is also the same kid Shepard has been having nightmares about. So, what makes him credible? Nothing. Except that he tells you he is credile. Ha. ha. ha.

Am I the only one who was surprised that they were allowed to put burning kids in a game?

It'ts not like his flesh melted off .

My box says it "contains infrequent strong violence"

Well, seeing as they allowed you to brutally hack a kid to pieces in DA:O, no. No, I am not surprised.

in the past few days we have seen some really good and some really specultive tweets from various bioware staff.

with these tweets we are now seeing some of the core story being changed ... in other words they are rewriting it (or retconing) and then when people ask questions about certain parts of the ending they are getting replys that are really puzzling.

such as the starbrat saying that all the mass relays will be destroyed no matter what ending we pick, that was changed by a tweet from jessica,

gamble then said something about geth and edi not being dead yet the starbrat said that the destroy ending would destroy ALL synthetics then suddenly thats now changed to reaper tech only and then being told edi and the geth are still alive.

but also before the entire DLC was announced we were told by the SAME people you all tweet that the RED option was the best and now they suddenly turn round and say the blue one is best.

now to be honest, they are rewriting ME core lore on the fly.

my personal opinion is this..

I DO NOT BELEVE A SINGLE THING FROM TWEETS UNTILL THE DLC IS RELEASED OR WE HAVE AN OFFICAL STATMENT TELLING US WHAT IS BEING CHANGED.

So boys and girls what ever you read on twitter or anywhere concerning any ME3 DLC do not beleve it and please stop spreading rumours

True. Also, since it was symbolic, I didn't feel like it was...bad. DA:O was worse...

I was just thinking that the mothers organisation thing in America would make a fuss of it like every other piece of mild violence in games.

Haha well yeah I do have reservations about starkid. Still if his goal was.to discourage Shep from using the destroy option he should have simply not offered it, especially since Shep decides not to question him or his premise at all and just go with it.

I don't remember the specific room, but if you wander the Redcliffe Castle before getting Connor unpossessed you'll run into him and hack away in a cutscene. It happens offscreen, but you still get to see the body afterwards.

See, he HAD to offer or else how would we get the red ending?
2 endings is not a, b, c...it's just true and false :innocent:

Doesn't show the scene though, since you kill him during the game...

Exactly. They said a lot of things about the game that ended up not being true, why would their tweets be any different. Besides, they're the same people that thought to existing endings were a good idea.

He did not offer them, they were new possibilities opened up by the crusible, the destroy ending is what the those who wanted the reapers gone put in, the control ending is what cerburus put in, the synthesis ending is the reapers solution, we were being tricked.

Just to add, without a destroy ending, the players would have wanted to call the starbrat on his bs, unfortunately Biowares plan did not pan out, players still want to call him on his bs.

Yeah, it was symbolic, but it was still bad. Bad as in horribly executed. I honestly hate the dream sequences just as much as the ending. Those whispers? Reused dialogue for characters that are dead and who's VA worked on ME3. The kid? Supposed to symbolize all the comrades Shep has lost in the war. The forest? Some level designer getting lazy and copy-pasting an area over and over to make it look big. Honestly I brainstormed for about 2 minutes and came up with 5 sequences that fulfilled the same role and made more sense psychologically (people dream of people, places, etc they've seen and apply vague meanings later. We don't dream symbolic things up like Shep did)

It's from an Emmerson, Lake, and Palmer song. ICP are just being unoriginal dicks.

Things are going good. Break out the tar and feathers, but I've been playing a fair amount of multiplayer (just got Resurgence today). Hey, it's free and it was no doubt pre-planned anyway!

Maybe. I like the idea that he's not being entirely honest with Shep, since it offers a way out of the horrible endings. Its kinda the same idea as IT in a way. Still, it just seems like if he can lie in order to discourage Shep from using destroy, he could hide that function entirely. Maybe not though as were not sure exactly how things work. Could all be in Sheps head for all we know. Lots of speculation for everyone.

Ok, there is something we should have all learned by now: she's adorable, but she is not reliable. Yes, she gives us attention, but at the same time she gives us the answers we want.
Also, she isn't a dev/writer, so she can't give us reliable info.

Just keep that in mind ;)

Again, this is all rather useless speculation as well since Sheppy just does whatever StarBrat tells her and picks. If StarBrat is lying, then Sheppy should have the option to just plain old REFUSE and extort the fleets to fight on.
