Some Better Business Bureau Talking Head made an uneducated statement saying EA/Bioware were guilty of False Advertising with ME3...

Don't particularly agree with her, and don't think she's got most of the story even, or understands it.. but hey, she's entitled to her opinion and she's supporting us haha.

Well, I agree. I doubt they got the whole story. But it's not all untrue based on that statement alone. It is a statement made by BW, and the game's version of it fell flat.

I don't see anything bad with someone calling them on those lies, but i doubt it's big enough. I don't know much in those matters, thought. I did feel they falsly advertised some of it, but it's maybe not the same thing... I mean, maybe it doesn't go in the "advertising" part

I wouldn’t go as far as suing because I dont have the time. But yes they did falsely adverstised. Is clear as day anyone who says otherwise is either blind or in denial. They stated 16 different endings. A different colored explosion doesn’t qualify as different, and even then is only 9 I think.

Hopefully this person takes it to court or what not. The more harm is done to their pockets the more they pay attention to fans. In the end that is the only real way to get a company to listen regardless of their product. Harm their image or pocket, hopefully both and they listen.

Sooo, ME3 question moment: did your Shepards import correctly? I mean, the face (not story)

yep... but he doesn't look much like the last two. Some vague resemblance. Mostly the hair.

I noticed that the problem is mostly with FemSheps...I'm not sure why Bioware changed the code so much. Honestly, all FemSheps look quite alike now..:?

I... sorta of disagree. Fem Sheps look realy nice <3 Not sure why the gals dont like em but thats just me.

I'm a software developer.  I basically get to play with C# and SQL all day and mess with some really awesome gadgets.

C#? As in C++,,, watz SQL.. and how can I get your job. Already taking graphic design but hell urs sound swee t:P

C# is not C++; C# is an object oriented language that compiles down to byte code (not binary, like C++); it is similar to Java in this and several other regards.  The open source POSIX friendly C# is called Mono.

SQL is the language used to query data out of a database, such as Sybase, Orcale, MicrosoftSQL, etc...

In case you didn't pick up on it, I am also a Software Engineer, and while I've done some .NET stuff, my preference is Java and POSIX based C++/Perl.

POSIX is a set of standards that define an OS, that UNIX (including MacOS, which is build on BSD) and LINUX both happen to adhere to (Wiki article on POSIX).

I feel there are more like 9 ways to get the endings, but those endings are the same 3, which also look like a single one with modified colors...

Mass effec question of moment: no. But I refuse to touch it until it's FIXED. Actually got an email from Gamestop that they will pay $28 bucks for it. After tweets that were... unhelpfully nixing some things in an interview that made me feel better, and having no real hope if they don't FIX the end and not just pretend it away... I think I might take Gamestop up on their offer.

haha, ok, don't get me wrong, I like FemShep too. And the default one is pretty. But our customized FemSheps all look...too much alike. A lot of the little custom stuff was taken away (even make up are all the same. No matter what you pick, it looks the same) and many colors do not exist anymore.

hmmm I guess I went a very different way. How much Mathematical knowledge has gone into what you do? C++ is somewhat fun given is basic algebra... but I tried to go into the game design... hell no. my univ wanted me to take trigonometry I was... hellz no. Realized game designers are smarter. I am smart but not that smart.

Your Shepard didn't import? If it makes you feel any better, mine didn't either. It looked like a stranger and it said it was the right face...the patch? People say it didn't work for them...

ah!. Ok nvm then. I was talking about the Red Head Green eyes... But yes Fem shep or Male shep has similar problems. ALthough I would be unable to say which one has it worse since I've simple stuck with default female for 2 playthroughs.

Bioware pooped the ball in many issues in ME3...

Like I say, you can take 10 giant steps forward, but take 100 lil steps back and you end up in the same place really.

I live just out of DC (in fairfax county) and seeing the White House trashed and where my home is blown up... It was just so cool to know the roads I was traveling along and such. I liked the weapons in 3 more too. And the leveling. And I don't like dessert bugs. ;-)

Fallout new Vegas... It was fun, but I liked fallout 3 more. It was literally in my back yard. I could almost see my house. ;-)

Fallout 3 felt more depressing, which may be becuase there was alot more devastation and bleakness, and  not as much humor as in New Vegas. Not to mention the soundtarck (while beautiful) was just as depressing. Even when the songs sounded uplighting in a way.  As depressing as it was though, I very much like the Washington setting in Fallout 3.

New Vegas was great it felt like  the original Fallouts did. It was very hard to put points in everything, and sticking to select builds then branching out made a difrrence, well to me anyways.

Wow I sort of want to replay Fallout 3 again, see my old pal Harkness.

Yeah my Shepard didnt import. But I havent used it since the patch. I tried to replay the game a couple weeks after I finished it and felt like throwing up so I just quit. It's collecting dust while I wait to see if they fix the horrid ending.

A -lot- of Algebra, some calculus (not as much as Zwei probably)..  Trigonometry depends on the industry... most of what I do is data manipulation, forecasting, and logistics... which surprisingly uses a lot of trig just for figuring out box placements on skids and stuff when I'm doing Fedex/UPS integration

If it makes you feel better I was horrible at mental math until I was taking flight training... got up in the air a few times doing cross country flights and the instructor would go "Okay, our destination isn't landable now, figure out an alternate airport that we have enough fuel to get to"...and I got to do that using a 'whiz wheel' mechanical calculator that's been used since probably the 1930s and a pencil/paper lol.

Anywho.. way off topic here...

I'm off to bed all, hold the line!  Nite :police:

Oh, wow u live right there.. .Thought u weren't that serious about "being close" lol.

Duno I like the small towns more people around in Vegas. Although I was dissapointment that you couldn't go to um... forgot the town that got destroyed by The legion. Would have been fun to make connections. Play around, meet the people. And then one day BLAM see Smoke in the horizon and being unable to fast travel. Would have been a nice twist.

I would say the ended up a few steps behind ME2.
ME2 was epic; it had awesome main quests and side quests (that were not "hear conversation, scan planet, give artifact"), the graphics were good enough for me, gameplay was good, ending was perfect because you could die if you wanted, lose a couple of people on the process, or save everyone and be the hero and feel great!

But ME3....:crying:

I dare say I am a very demanding person. Comes with my surroundings I guess. If you do great you dont stop doing great. You do better. Anything less isn't acceptable.... The Loss of "exploration" for me, although for alot wasn't, for me it was devastating. One of the parts of RPG is exploring unknown space, dungeons, lands, planets w/e

Overlord ...x10 is what ME2 was missing Relatively big maps to explore, direct objectives with inderect plot lines. Gave Mass Effect that sense of "fullness" that comes with a galaxy.. It was that tickling sensation that never stopped. Aside from that I really enjoyed it.

I think there are tons of ME3 issues to pick on - obviously due largely to a lack of time on their part. But I would ignore them all and explain them away instead of freakishly picking on every little thing if the end were really well done. Bc they brought back leveling up (my main gripe in 2) and made biotics fun again. And some of the story was great. But I do wish they would have just taken the necessary time and gotten the game right. Though if they actually put in the time and had everything so perfect only to finish it off with that ending...

Well, I may have had to call the suicide watch hotline. And that's only partially a joke.

Bt Faalout in DC, so dark and sad... It's a perfect example of how you can do depressing in a way that still leaves you satisfied (until you're probed by space aliens).

Oh, I don't really mind not exploring stuff freely because I like to follow a story rather than just walk around randomly (like Skyrim or Fallout 3).
But I would say ME3 had a very linear plot compared to any other ME game. And ME3 also did not offer sidequests, so all the missions you had were either mandatory or N7 ones.

And I completely agree that I do not accept a game "going backwards" either, but that's what ME3 did...
