Was there a romance option for a lesbian romace or was it just straight romances?

Not in vanilla. No same sex and women only had one man who was romanceable, and he was a raging dbag IMO. Still there are a TON of mods for BG2 that alow same sex romance with the vanilla characters, as well as new characters themselves (though some of the fan made voice acting is... yeah)

Kelsey and Solaufein were my favorite mods. Especially because you could get Kelsey and Anomen to fight over you. Solaufein you could set the options to never have him conflict with anybody and he swung both ways. Kelsey could be a bit *too* sweet and nice but jcompton did a great job with him. It doesn't help much if you want a lesbian romance but they are great fan mods.

Even though Solaufein was a character you could already meet in the Underdark, I liked the mod because it let him join your party after he leaves the city and his romance was great too.

Blah~! *flails arms at you* I'm getting my head stuffed with random stuff that I already know from my class! I don't need to learn how to post a blog on here, so its easier to just post it here for right now.... now I've got to get back to the class and working on my ending... actaully I'm in need of inspiration for it right now... :(

I'm happy to help with mods for Baldur's Gate, there are many that help with the game play and monitor settings, etc. There are mods for NWN2 that help with broken dialog flags and such, I've got it running pretty well on my Win 7 machine, Baldur's Gate too. I am geeky that way, I'm good at getting stuff to bend to my will on a computer  "Resistance is futile" so to speak!

Intro:

I know a lot of people on this thread have expressed the view that what makes the reapers are a great antagonists because of our lack of knowledge of them. I agree with this statement but feel that a good explanation of them won't detract from this. To this I would like to present to you my idea for their motivation. This is purely what I would give the reapers as a motivation and is based on nothing else. I came up with this idea after I had completed Mass Effect 2, but before Mass Effect 3 came out. It is a very wordy for which I want to apologize for up front.

Evolution, Innovation, and Perspective:

First I should talk about evolution, yes we all know what it is, but the question is do self aware machines evolve? To this I would say no. Evolution requires that bad traits to be filtered out, which occurs when those carrying them die without passing them on to future generations. They can however innovate, which is the development of new technology that makes up for limitations that they were built with. However, their ability to innovate will be limited to their view of the universe, or what I will be calling their perspective. Perspective encompasses how they think and their view the universe and how it works. If you look at a lot of our great discoveries the majority of them come about from someone who views the universe differently than is normal for that period of time. This fact is probably best see in Albert Einstein and his theory of relativity. Machines will lack this property because they are all built to be exactly the same. This is shown in the dialog with legion and his explanations of the Geth. He says they make decisions by obtaining a consensuses, were every Geth agrees on what to do. Not the majority of Geth but all of them. This implies that the Geth all think the same way, or in other words have the same perspective.

EDI's in depth explanation of the Human reaper:

All this relates to my idea for the motivation of the reapers through the idea that machines don't evolve, but instead innovate technology down a fixed perspective. Now at this point I want to bring up an explanation for the human reaper given by EDI that was cut from the game, which is listed below.

             www.youtube.com/watch

This is an alternate explanation of the human reaper, and effectively reapers as a whole. Without this dialog you still discover that reapers are created from the biological substances of the species they are harvesting. This explanation does give more information about the purpose of the harvesting. Essentially the races they harvest are broken down into their base components and from this the reapers obtain their knowledge and essence, their perspective, which is stored within the new reaper.

The Reapers motivation:

Everything I have talked about so far leads into my idea for the reapers motivation, which I will go over now. I will start this explanation by giving out an important fact, for my idea of their motivations, about the reapers. Which is that the reapers are, at least in a limited form, a collective consciousness. This seems logical since they are able to coordinate their invasion over the entire galaxy which would require some form of constant communication. This collective consciousness is where the reapers perspective is stored, which determines their technological innovation. Now the purpose of the cycle of extinction is to allow them to broaden their perspective by adding the harvested races perspective with their own. This allows them to mimic evolution by changing, or at least enhancing, the types and quality of their technological innovation. When they do this they are able to shed the limitations of synthetic life though the domination of organic life.

Conclusion:

Their purpose behind the cycle, and more importantly why they bother with it is so that, is so that they can evolve as well. I want to take this moment to mention my thoughts on the Geth and how their these ideas relate to them. This is the reapers solution but it is by no means the only one. I would say that perspective can be obtained by the study of others and how they think. It is by no means as effective as the reapers method, but it would still allow the Geth to broaden their perspective. It seems to me that it is the route that the Geth were heading down. They had a curiosity of organics which lead to them seeking to understand them and how they think. So in my mind they are the polar opposite to the Reaper because they choose the compensate for their lack of evolution by understanding and, as is seen in Mass Effect 3, cooperation with others.
All comments to this idea are welcome, let the insults begin.

They're probably writing up their own fanfics to match the sheer quality of mine from the last page... Shepard filling out her taxes is deep stuff you know.

Downloading the 1.2 patch for TOR. Checking to see if they can salvage the game. Also updating Wargame: European Escalation. You have no idea how hard it is to keep 200 games up-to-date :pinched:
