I own DA:O for PC and never saw anything to indicate where to upload a personal avatar. I've got several candidates that are images of myself in funky costume that I could use...

I don't remember how to do it either. But I know that my first character got his face in my possible avatars on this forum. Don't ask me how, though...

And I mean my first because it was the first and only character. I tried to play DA:O  again, and gave up. Boring as hell. I did the same thing for DA2, and didn't complete my second character either. I think I'm done with DA, by the way. I don't think they made the right decisions with the series. It was just my "need" to play another "medieval-like rpg by BW", hoping that they did it again, like NWN. But, nah... they didn't.

Edit: I don't think I ever saw a way to do it with ME, though. Then again, I just use custom faces for female characters. For my male Sheps (the majority), I only use default face. Seems the right thing to do, for me.

DA:O was a great game, but it was possibly the only one I've ever played that bumped up against the border of "too long." DA2 was a good length, nicely-divided up by chapter, but again it used the same six or seven sceneries far, far too many times. Both had strong characterization, epic quests, and great overall plots (before you ask, yes I liked the ending of DA2). However, BioWare's announced decision to go with yet another new set of protagonists has left me feeling less than enthusiastic right now. That may change depending on whether or not EA/BioWare are ever able to earn my trust back as far as the ME3 debacle goes because if they don't, I won't buy DA3 even if it turns out to be totally awesome.

That, and I never played either Bauldor's Gate or NVN games.

Nice one on the Military code there~! ;):lol::lol::lol:

That's not a code per se. It's the standard NATO phonetic alphabet, which is employed by the military forces of all NATO-aligned countries.

Also how does targeting the supports cause the ground to give out? Wouldnt that make the ceiling fall on Shep? Why does the ground crack and give way to a 10,000 foot drop?

Well, the ending(s) are a joke. That, said ME 3 from a Fan point has been a major let down. ME 3 from a live stream's point of view. The game was a 1 week wounder. Basically means, its not worth wastes the hours live streaming for people from all over the world to watch. From A PR deal, It seems to be a nightmare that never ends. Mad fans demanding better ends and when they look to see how any are live streaming the game on xfire, justintv and other live stream websites the total number is well below normal. Also, there is zero change in the ending so all the video makers have moved on to other games.

I still have no idea how the game even got above 5 out of 10 for the just failure of an ending. I'm not by any means picking on anyone, but I have seen good ends and ugly ends and Mass Effect 3 end(s) possible killed not just Mass Effect 3, but the 1st and 2nd part of the series. Now, some will say well, the game overall was not that bad or it was a great game, but the last 10 mins where bad. Well, how do you remember the game. Good story line or the ending. 95% of ya say the ending is what you most will remember from the game. The poof is in the all of the votes & a lot of the fans demanding a better ending. Its not just a few players (50 or lower) its a lot (100 plus).

We do not know if it was hey, lets rush the game and get it out fast. My guess its that's what happen, again I have no idea. If it was rushed and its not working out to well. Maybe, if it would be coming out 2013 or 2014 would the out come be different hard to say, but what I can say is the ending make zero sense and it seems the endings where rush to be throw together to meet a date that either Bioware or EA set. Overall like it or not and most of ya do not like the ending(s). The ending(s) did ruin the game and that's my 2 cents.

See I think Bioware has to tie things up for the Normandy crew and possibly Shepard if he lives. The crew and main characters are kind of the personification of the setting, if that makes sense. As such most people will care far more about Tali's fate than the fate of millions of faceless Quarians. To leave the crew permanently in the lurch will do much to remove a gamers interest in the series since they're who we care about.

i just figured they were kind of busy doing stuff and just let him get in the shuttle on his own as he seemed to have that under control lol

People often mention no one noticing the kid as proof for the Indoc theory.   The only problem with it is, they WAIT FOR the kid to board before the soldier motions that boarding is complete.  Otherwise the shuttle would be sitting there with its pants down for no good reason.
Its sad bioware didn't adopt the Indoc theory instead of retrenching to save the pride of two people.  They were handed a golden out, which I don't think any other franchise has ever had cast at its feet.

Dontcha know??
The m-1 Garand uses a 30 caliber full metal jacketed  round that impacts a target at 100 meters with 4300 some pounds per inch force and has a muzzle velocity of 4500 feet per second. The M-16 on the other hand uses a .227 caliber round  and delivers only 2350 pounds per square inch of force on a target at 100 meters. its muzzle velocity is 4400 feet per second..

Ah, that may explain why I didn't like DA so much. I got used to the old games. Old gamers like me have the "good old games" mind set. But in my defense, I'm certainly not one to live in the past. I love modern games. But in this case, I think the old "medieval-like" games were better. And I never liked the writing in DA. Would you believe that KotOR was my first ever RPG?

KotOR II was my second, I never played Jade Empire as it was only on consoles, and I got Mass Effect 1 on recommendation from a friend who later went into the military and was wounded in Afghanistan during an RPG attack on his convoy.

DA:O I got because it was (relatively) cheap and I'd never played a fantasy RPG.

If I may join in. I find that my liking of new games is dwindleing. This past six months, i've only purchased two AAA games and those were Skyrim and ME3. Skyrim was rrther disappointing story wise and the new trend to turn everyone into thieves and murderers is raher unsettling. I Like TES for TES, not for GTA with swords. Obviously ME3 was so much of a let down that even Skyrim is better.  Other than those my main purchases have been old standards like Luna for the PSP, and Sonic for the Wii..  I ven went so far as to find a copy of  "lost Vikings: norse by Norsewest "" cuz it was better than the newer games..
