I'm starting to think this whole ending thing is a blessing to Bioware. I started another walkthru even tho I know what the ending is going to be like but went ahead and started up my Renegade Shep. As I was playing thru I started to get annoyed by other things in the game like quest log, go and fetch quests, eavesdropping to pick up quests, treatment of ME2 characeters/romances etc, I could go on with more.

Now I know these are not game breaking or as big as the ending but if you add them all up it is a chunck of the game or maybe the ending has made me more pessimistic about the overall game and if they fix the ending I'll see things in a more positve/brighter view.

The only thing that really irritated me were the fetch quests/eavesdropping

The romances, I've said it before and I'll say it again.

With Thane people were making a bed in a burning house, don't complain that the whole thing came down now.

Miranda was never the warm and fuzzy type with her feelings so I don't know why people are expecting it here.

Jacob is...freakin Jacob. There were like what? 1 out of every 20 people who actually romanced him? I don't even consider him a real character. True that I consider him more important than Kaidan but regardless those two are the most generic, non important characters of ME.

The only romance I can really see people complaining about is Jacks Its the only one where the Character is "more" than what she was in ME2 so people could genuinely look forward to new interactions with this "mellowed" Jack.

Pretty much this and Kai Leng's plot armor. Kaiden only survived in one of my playthroughs and while I carried that Shepard into ME2, he hasn't yet shown for ME3.

But I really...really...REALLY don't like Kaidan.

I'll happily put him on my crew if it means no starchild but I have yet to have a single playthrough where he lives past Virmire.

Ashley's annoying, but she at least has a presence in the room Kaidan's just...there.

Everyone in ME1 had their own little intro, Williams getting shot at, Garrus shooting some guy in the head, Tali throwin a beatdown on some mercs, Liara had her own mission.

I litterally played almost two missions in the first game before looking at my team roster and I **** you not wondered. "Wait...who's this guy?" When I reached Feros:lol:

My problem with Kaidan is that all he talks about IS his backstory.

"Sorry, formalities were never a big thing back at BAAT"

"There was this Turian back at Biotic camp.

"Broke his neck.

There was this girl I liked too but that didn't work out.

I have migrains. Been happening since BAAT ya know

His entire conversation tree was nothing more than him giving you his life story.

At least Jacob, to me, had a somewhat interesting quest that touched up on his past  and felt like something of a Bro towards the end of the mission when he prommised to go buy you drinks.

At least thats how I see it. Like I said, both are pretty boring, but if I had to choose one guy to invite over for drinks I'm going with Jacob. Kaidan seems like he'll either be an angry drunk with repressed issues, or a teary drunk with repressed issues.

Lol I like Kaidan and Ash... but poor Kaiden allways had to die cause Ash is in all of my Playthroughs my LI.. somhow couldn't bring me to take another one ^^.

And I agree with Jacob.. I somhow never really liked him and never had him in my team.. only for his loyality mission and was annoyed I had to take him XD.

I loved Awakenings Anders:crying:

Why did Jenifer Helper have to ruin him in DA2???

She wrote so well for the Dwarf commoner in DA:O

But anders just flew out the window aparently. Different voice actor, different writer, different personality.

They may as well have just made a completely OC character and left the memory of Anders untainted:unsure:

Anders was a bit of a mopey, angsty self-righteous zealot as a character, but it all went so well with the game's story that it was easy to see all these faults as part of the plot. In short: his characterization worked, and was in fact key to how well the climax played out. (Edit: I never played Awakening)

Anyway, tis time for all little Goodwoods to hit the sack. Might go to see Battleship tomorrow.

Cool!  I got my first forum hug (I feel special now.  )  RL is too constricting for a space cadet such as myself.  Spouse is gone for six weeks, four kids to take care of, and I keep cursing my xbox because it still pains me to turn it on.  Tried writing, hit a wall.  Got a spark of utterly insane brilliance, am hesitant to attempt it.  Still processing possible ramifications.  Do not want tears.
