OOhh  about the lie...I actually have Ash alive in one playthrough, I totally forgot about my renegade MaleShep. Ash is alive in that game lol.

I'm right there with you on Jacob, he never left the Normandy and I never really spoke to him much. I was also annoyed I had to take him with me on his loyalty mission lol.
I remember I tried to romance him in one playthrough, I ended up starting a new character and ignoring the one who was starting Jacobs romance lol.

20 says that the moment they say anything major about the extended cut, this thread will triple in post rate. 10 says that within 12 minutes and 18 seconds of any other DLC being announced, at least one underbridger will ogre our thread, and a maximum of 3 underbridgers in the space 5 minutes.

The characterization worked well for the game, I don't deny that really. One of the greatest moments I've had gaming in the last couple of years was the first time I saw that Chantry blown sky high and thinking to myself.

But in story telling you HAVE to have consistency. (At least IMO)

Consistency is easilly the third most important aspect of story telling. (Competing for first place is Characters and Plot)

The Anders they stuck in DA2 bared so little resemblance to Awakening Anders (besides the phisichal characteristics) that they could literally put a different face and a different name on the guy, call him a pissed off mage or a disgruntled grey warden and I would never have even guessed.

This is a good point.  I'm working on an independent novel.  Pretty dark sci-fi and I already know that its going to be a mind screw by the end.  It's already looking that way since chapter 2.  

But since the cascading BS that is MEh3 ending.  I haven't wanted to write it and now I find myself going "screw it, you're a sadist, write the trilogy from your Shep's PoV to get it out of your system."

Why did Jenifer Helper have to ruin him in DA2???

She wrote so well for the Dwarf commoner in DA:O 

But anders just flew out the window aparently. Different voice actor, different writer, different personality.

They may as well have just made a completely OC character and left the memory of Anders untainted

Yeah Anders was alright in Awakening though I didn't LOVE him, I always thought of him as Alistair Lite lol.

Sad but probably true. Fortunately we have staved off most underbridgers for the moment. Let's hope we can keep that up when they return!

Hehe I think somtimes there are characters you like or you like not. I can't understand people who like Miranda.. she is one of the characters after Jacob I like the least.. cause I was allways annoyed of here "I'm so perfect and better and blabla...."

You're right, different characters appeal to different people. I didn't like Miranda to begin with but I really grew to like her because I always saw the "I'm perfect" bit as hiding deep insecurities which made her more human to me

Yeah that's true. I don't like Jacob, Ash and Miranda. Everyone else is cool

I didn't mind Jacob...he was a bit bland, but honestly that is why I liked him.  In a universe with super personalities, it was nice to see a regular soldier make a difference.

I hated Miranda.

I heart Tali.

I wish. But no, I just had to format TWICE because the first time around windows decided to **** up its' updates (the 105th update...) and wouldn't start anymore. I ended up contacting their* customer support, no answer yet.

Now I'm in middle of reinstall project of a century.

*sigh* So if anyone has any ideas I could try, I'm open to suggestions. Preferrably ones that don't involve anyone logging into my computer though, I like you guys and trust you guys, but not that much

But even as a normal soldier type he was boring ^^ in my opinion XD.
I don't like Jacob and Miranda.. but I'm fine with the rest and really love Ash and Garrus ^^

That's the one thing that really irritates me about Windows, it seems like every single day that I have to download new updates.
Let's see what their customer support says first, they're probably in a better position to know than we are. But if they don't come back to you I'm sure we can put our heads together.

Yeah, I just have to wait (isn't this ironic, waiting and waiting). It's not like I can return the headshet even if I want to before next Tuesday, so I'll just sit here and continue installing lot of stuff. 
Currently working on getting my rainmeter back the way it was. OCD pc user and formatting do not mix well

Likewise, but dear Mr Bond, when you have 106 updates waiting for you, some of them are bound to be necessary and therefore have to be installed

Hmm, I'm not sure whether this is worse than the ending, or not. On the other hand, once I get everything installed and customized again, I'm left with cleaner computer... Whereas the ending is still what it is...

I hate windows with a passion, that and their blasted updates that tend to screw up more systems than intended. It's also why I refused to use WLM for work because it caused my computer to freeze and made my video card driver become inactive. And it especially hated when I was on YT. Complete crash and reboot required. *grumble*
