So we can't get the ending we want after all?

And then they go, " We had no idea fans would react this way to the ending." So they had no idea that people spent hours READING about the lore of this game would wonder what happens to the galaxy after we blow everything up?!? So are they that disconnected with their own fanbase, or are they straight up in denial at how bad their ending is?

What I find mind boggling is this. This is a game series where the majority of it's fans, and especially the ones fanatical enough to join a forum specifically for the game, spent hours reading every codex, exploring every nook and cranny for more information and xp. Talked to every NPC, went to every planet and read the description and statistics. Hell, I even read what the temperature and gravity was on every planet in all 3 games.
And then they go, " We had no idea fans would react this way to the ending." I think it's more denial that anything else...

Cancel your subs to game informer, IGN and all others. Easiest way to get those idiots to listen is to cut the legs out from under them. If even half of the retake movement canceled those subscriptions I guarantee you that they would cut the bull**** off real quick
It's mainly this one reveiwer, Joe Juba, that I have an issue with. He comes off as kinda an ass. I tend to like the rest.

If they don't make a really good job with the ending DLC.. there will be no ME future..cause there will be no ME Fan base anymore...

Meh. It is an opinion column, and part of the problem with "reviews" is that most of the time the reviewers are either biased, FORCED to be biased, or just plain haven't finished the game. This is why I like Total Biscuit, he tells you upfront that his vids aren't reviews so much as "First Impressions."
For the record, he was boycotting the game already because of the Disc Locked Content, and seems pretty happy to have gone without having the ME Universe "defiled". When told by Jesse Cox during a podcast about the ending (Red, Blue, or Green: Choose Wisely), TB responded..... like the rest of us would have. "No, not possible. Bioware couldn't have dropped the ball like that." And then he was sad.
My problem with the review was that he insinuated that only a very vocal minority of whiners were bashing the endings.

It's fine that people liked the endings, but I have to wonder sometimes if we played the same game. Everyone that has issue with the endings has gone into DETAIL as to why they are disappointed, and I have said this many a times but I have yet to hear details as to why they are good. All I want is to know, not to debate it or say you're wrong I just want to know.
We are actually on Biowares side here ( most of us) and know they can do better. We have SEEN them do better. So complaining/ giving feedback about them not giving the endings their al or their due, l or multiple paths isn't a insult but rather a "What the **** happened"?
If anything be "dismayed" as to why they are so adamant to protect them (Bioware) when even some journalists are saying something wrong happend at the end (not exactly their words but you get the idea)
*Sigh* man this makes my head hurt sometimes. I get invested in something and i wont shut up.
Yes there are really some rare people who liked the endings, like they are.. the even think of them as great.. but that is a minority seen (so Ihad the feeling when I looked through german comments on the game).
But most people say there is somthing wrong with the endings and that they are unsatisfing.
And I even have a german games journal were they tell you, that the game is pretty good, but the endings are dissapointing and they stated the endings as a big negative point.
Yeah, well at the end of the day I guess thats just how things are. I wish people would reeally pay attention to what we were fighting for, but like all things in life there are always going to be opposing sides. Some ignorant and some understanding but still sticking to their guns.
I like alot of you will just wait here for a little while... see what happens

Don't let it get to you.. people think the world's still flat, doesn't mean they're right. These reviewers are becoming in the minority themselves now.
I'm pretty sure the new price avg's for ME3 are indication that the sales aren't stellar. <_<

As said, the Shepard Trilogy is pretty much over, but there is still place to tell stories in, like in the thing I linked above. From what I understood, it is supposed to be set between ME2 and ME3 and you dont play Shepard. From how it looks, they want to jump on the oldschool turnbased isometric bandwagon as a niche game, but I am fine with it. Infact, I would really love to play it.

So they built the Catalyst, and he built the Reapers ?

The prices have dropped do low because 3.5 millions copies where shipped and 2.2million have been sold but retailer are now sitting on stock with the knowledge that it may be difficult to shift them due to word of mouth about poor endings.Computim wrote...

That combined with any returns/trade-ins could well mean large amounts of copies being unsold and as such supplies have to get rid of exess stock because holding stock cost a fair amount both monetary and taking up shelf space.

Because any ending that didn't result in you dooming the galaxy by your own hands would've been to mainstream.
Funny thing about that is... there are a lot of movies/games/books that result in dooming somthing like a whole world/galaxy/land cause of the actions of the main character ^^
Something tells me that's not entirely what they were going for with these endings.

You actually get punched down (if too slow) by the reporter if you are going renegate with her (always did it, it's just funny as hell my femShep punching that reporter). That is definitly enough. Assasination by one of these people would just be ridicolous, and such an ending is almost as bad as the one we currently got.sagevallant wrote...
The worst of which being that, if you Renegade Option Conrad Verner or the Reporter throughout the series, you get assasinated by them.
I can't imagine a Shepard going through hell several times, saving the galaxy a few times, only to get assasinated by some random encounter. NO.
Just no.

Anyone else really uncomfortable with that name? Personally it seems like a terrible choice because it makes it seem as if they'll just add stuff that got cut from the original game (like all those voice recordings we've heard with Anderson for example) and won't actually expand the ending with anything new...
I don't know, it makes me feel uneasy tbqh.

If it's the real ending from leaked script, it works for me.
