Just read that the summer DLC is titled "Extended cut"...

Anyone else really uncomfortable with that name? Personally it seems like a terrible choice because it makes it seem as if they'll just add stuff that got cut from the original game (like all those voice recordings we've heard with Anderson for example) and won't actually expand the ending with anything new...

I don't know, it makes me feel uneasy tbqh.

If it's the real ending from leaked script, it works for me.

Well they have said it will have additional Epologue content and cinematics, not all of it will be stuff they cut out, and there is some hope that there will be at least one positive ending.

I just read my issue of Game Informer that came in the mail.

It had 2 scores for ME3.

10 and 9.75 <_<

The 9.75 one outright says "Don't be dismayed about some users' complaints about the ending; I've been a hardcore fan of Mass Effect from the beginning, and I am completely satisfied with this conclusion to the most ambitious video game project I've ever had the pleasure of playing."
-Joe Juba

What game was this guy playing?

If I didn't get this magazine for free with my Gamestop Pro membership, I would cancel it...

Do you think it will be anything like The Phantom Menace 3D?

BTW, someone needs to tell me how to get the boxes with the dotted lines, so everything I say isn't out of context. I'm a computer geek but forums? Not so much, pretty new at it...

I don't understand why it was so hard to make good endings  based on your choices. I mean, that's basically what ME3 was promoted as : a game were your choices matter, affect the gameplay and the ending etc.

And yet, i look at games like the Silent Hill series, which don't even promote themselves as being choice-based, but they still give at least 4 endings for anyones taste. You feel your character is guilty of what he did? Have a bad ending. You want him to get out alive ? You can. You don't have to, but you can always end it the way you'd want it to end.

Then i see people who critize those who don't like the ME3 current ending, and say that they like it bittersweet and whatnot. I say that's allright, thing is, why is that the ONLY ending you can have? That's just ridiculous...

When that happened in the game, I thought it was just bizarre. Imo it made no sense that they hooked up. It seemed even odder than Joker and EDI being together.

also my exact thoughts, especially after the banter between them on the citadel in ME2, garrus was teasing her but tali seemed kind of mad "i have a shotgun"

This article is great.

Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk told Eurogamer that...
We listen to them on the forums, their feedback from stories. We're
reading it all. If we can get ideas out of it that will make the game
better, sure. We're not adverse to taking feedback. That's part of our
core values, is humility
. Any time we get a good idea from fans...
they're our audience. They keep us in business.

Their definition of humility leaves something to be desired, you cannot tout humility while touting artistic integrity.

True that. I have no idea where the romance aspect even kicked in. And even with EDI and Joker you could say something if you thought it was weird. Here you just walk in on Tali and Garrus, and give your best wishes to them. Stupid game, where's my dialogue wheel? lol.

no offense to garrus as he is awesome but in my liara playthrough when i walked in on them i was like " ok where the hell is my gun, this is an outrage!" (thanks udina for the opportunity to use your outrage quote ;))

They either just gave everyone a romance LI, or killed them off (Legion & Mordin). Some of them are just against the character's reasoning  from the previous games... But oh well, everyone needs some love in life :innocent:

Indeed. I can't think of a more perfect quote to describe the situation. I have a hard time dealing with their hypocrisy, and have no reason to trust any of their words or products in the future.

I heard that reviewers got a condensed version with fewer cutscenes and no ending....

Edit: Honestly, I don't think the true horror of the ending settles in until your go online and realize how little it changes depending on what you do. Give it time. I'm sure a couple days after those guys finished their reviews....

Same here, this whole thing has left me feeling so betrayed...

Up until that ending I was raving about how amazing ME is to everyone who would listen. Now I tell everyone how horrible the ending is instead...

So does anyone know how long it would take to get from Earth to Tuchanka using FTL drives?

It'd be interesting to know just how useful FTL drives actually would be if Mass Relays are gone.

OVER 100 years.

voyager was just beyond the delta quadrent and they had 72 years at warp 9.996 to get home but they would have to stop every few days to let the engines cool and resupply and so on so it would have taken roughly 109 years.

now in the ME universe the engines would need to stop every few hours as they are prone to overheating BUT if it was possible to fly there in FTL 24/7 it would take WAY OVER 100 years

So it's useless. All those colonies that required minerals and supplies brought in are dead, curing the krogan and then stranding it's only wise leader on earth, basically guarantees the krogan will destroy themselves again. Basically galactic civilization is doomed. Some kind of ending. Why did I try to stop the Reapers again?

When did you ever stop the Reapers?

At the end of ME 3 you accepted their flawed ideology and turned into a little **** for the Catalyst.

All three choices reflect the Catalysts view of the universe.  By choosing any one of them you further its goals.

If Liara was still the exact same person as she was in ME1 she would have gone "Prothean!!!Image IPB" and flung herself at Javik. LOL.
