Oh my goddess! This is from page 1 I've never read that far back. The backlash actually started before release? Holy shooter! EA saw this storm comming and this was the reaction? Wow, who is in charge at EA the same morons in charge of the "new" coke idea??

Artistic integrity, LOL (in a bittersweet way)

Wish I could find the tweets from that time period, they were just as... wow.  I still don't get it, and I was one of the ones defending them earlier on before I actually saw it.  /cry  I really wanted to trust Bioware. :crying::crying::crying::crying:

I think this whole thing started when people with the space edition (you know, the ones Bioware gave away by attaching them to balloons) finished it.
Also, it had leaked on 4chan a couple of days before it came out. So yes, they knew some people didn't like it. I knew about the ending even before I picked up my copy on March 6th...

I think most people here were trying to defend them before they actually saw the ending (i know i was) We all wanted to trust BioWare, just backfired.

yeah im pretty sure its the strategy guides that show there are supposedly 16 endings

Okay thanks! :)

Does anyone have the link of the article that discussed Origin and what EA did to it that was relevent to Bioware?  It mentioned something about the creativity of Origin combined with EA's something or another that I can't remember but article said it didn't end up happening that way.

May have also mentioned that EA's done this before to Westwood etc.

Now, now. Doing all the side missions DID have a big effect on the game. Just not the ending.

No they did not have any effect on the game. At best they gave an extremely minor effect, if any.

lol i know some had little minor things here and there, i just found it funny that he said you'd have fun seeing the effects when even he had to know the ending would invalidate the fun from said effects

I bet you he probably endorsed every ending they brainstormed though.  Probably why we got the one we did... this is what happens when you get into your character too much.

Stands up in the plot meeting, "I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favourite ending on the citadel!" then sits back down and everyone politely nods, smiles, and goes back to work.

I liked how the Proto-Reaper from the Collector base was still around, even though it was destroyed in my ending.
I like how the Rachni are still around, regardless of whether or not you saved the Queen. You know, the last Queen in existence.

Or that you spend all of ME2 getting smack talk from Harbinger, only for them to mention him randomly at the last 10 minutes of the game, once.

like ive said before the question is not why is proto reaper still around, the question is how in the hell did TIM go through the Omega 4 relay without a Reaper IFF

Since I don't want to repeat myself, I'll just quote you, lol.

It's not a matter of opinion about whether or not what you did in ME1 and ME2 mattered (side and major quests), it's objectively a matter of fact that nothing you did mattered.

Reply to Laterali :

I agree wholeheartedly with you.
its just feel rushed. And I think we can see Hudson arrogance here.
Kapyshyn gone I can do what I like.
and Casey was probably not challanged by anyone .as everybody thought his series ho knows best and they couddnt as maybe he was not listening.
he pribaly thought. Don't tell me what's good. I know what's good. My series.
And it ends up being full of plothiles and dissapointments.
How can you give a face and voice to villain in harbrimger and then just completely abandon him.
Never happened in any series.
Its like return of the Jedi and emperor and Vader are gone and you fight new baddie.
Just makes no sense.

I stood there and shot him until the crucible blew up twice.  It did nothing, I was hoping it would be cathartic, it just made me mad all over again. /sigh :?:pinched::crying:

Here's what I found

If you kept Wrex alive in ME1, he's in ME2 and ME3, if not, it's his brother Wreav.
If you kept Kaiden/Alshey alive in ME1, they are in ME3.
I made Anderson Counselor, but they made Udina Counselor no matter what you do, so that cancels out your choice.
Proto-Reaper around no matter what.
Rachni around no matter what.
If teammates survive ME2 suicide mission they show up for cameos.
If Conrad didn't off himself in ME1 he shows up for a cameo
If you had dinner with Kelly Chambers and survived she shows up for a cameo.
If you romanced a ME2 teammate LOL. You got punked.

Seems like the only choices we made that mattered for ME3 was who survived the past games, the actual plot choices we made were decided for us in ME3.

That bugs the crap out of me. He never actually worked with the Reapers, he just stole some of their tech and got himself indoctrinated. He didn't have access to an IFF unless that's another thing we're supposed to speculate on....

You forgot that you have the genophage cure data available regardless of whether or not you chose to destroy it in ME2.
