I remember the end of Fable III. It was a big wtf. It was a good enough game, but all I could think about after I finished it was how stupid the ending was.

And it still had a better ending the Mass Effect 3. And it's not even close, somehow.

Hey, at least I killed the evil, kept most of the people alive, AND survived with a happy family. It definitely had more closure than ME3 ending...

i wouldn't say relieved i'd say it made the best sense for her character not to be a LI

he's "not abandoning Shepard" is what Jessica said on twitter one day, wish i had the tweet handy though

Abandonment is incorrect its complete betrayal of everthing that.... Lol can't be asked to go there, I am sure if they explain it propperly it wont matter but as it stands...

I cant stand Gears ofWar series... The most overrated games I ever seen...
I got 2 part and after 30 min ..i deleted it... Complete rubbish....
stereotypical American characters (no offence my American friends  ) and just boring rehash of Halo plus rest ...
shocking crap...

has anyone noticed this

in ME1 i never romanced anyone and i hardly spoke to my crew at the time.
in ME2 i romanced tali and only tali but i talked to everyone.
in ME3 liara asks me "if i still loved her" .... uuuhh sweetheart i never romanced you AT ALL so why would i love someone i never romanced.

well i said no and for the entire ME3 i would have hardly any chats with her except the auto responce ones.

and to top it off i even got remarks from all my squadmates about me and liara even tho i never EVER romanced her in any of the games Image IPBImage IPBImage IPB

Bioware has indoctrinated you

Nah, they are just forcing you to romance Liara, like always. I bet ME4 will be Shep and Liara's daughter fighting for the universe hundreds of years after Shep's death...(you know, they have VERY long lifespan...)

so do the krogan (wrex states the krogan have multi century lifespans) and the turians and the quarians, matter of fact the human race has the shorstest lifespan in the mass effect universe

Samara was a very deep character and to be honest it annoys me when she's trivialised...

Her reluctance to a relationship was understandable in ME2, but they could have allowed it to continue in 3. Even if based on an 'I doubt we'll survive, but...' kind of thing.

Just another missed opportunity that could have meant so much to so many :(

Hi, don´t know if it was posted already:

www.youtube.com/watch

this Guy has done a few good Videos and this is his last one about ME 3 and the coming Ending DLC.
Found it interesting and he just spoke out what I felt about the last Month.
It´s a little bit long, but I think he really get´s over what so many of us, who are upset with the ending and all the things that happened between us and Bioware till today are feeling even right now.

But the evil, the real threat was just so stupid, lol. It's like the Reapers (well after Starbrat finishes ruining them.) Well maybe not as awful as the Reapers. The Reapers are just a giant joke now.

theres one thing in gears 3 and ME3 is that in gears 3 your brother (Dom) sarifices himself to save his friends even tho he never recovered over his wifes death in gears 2.

in ME3 mordin kills himself to save the krogan as he is filled with guilt over the genbphage.

see what i did there, they were so lost for ideas they actually stole one from another game and rewrote certain aspectsa of it.

but the ending of gears 3 was still happy .... HE WAS ALIVE AND HE WAS WITH A LOVED ONE WHO BECAME HIS LOVE INTREST (read the follow up gears comics)

key words here is MY MARCUS SURVIVES WITH HIS LOVE INTREST

I thought she would have a Kelly Chambers moment, and perhaps hug or kiss Shepard briefly. That might have been character appropriate, and would make her slightly more significant in ME3. Especially since everybody dies in the end...except maybe not says Bioware!<_<

Okay warring folks I’m going to kind of go on a rant. I feel like I need to get this off my chest so…….

I have 2 step brothers in the military. Both are married with their wives back here in the states. One is in Iraq the other Afghanistan. My one step-bro (the one in Iraq) is back on leave visiting for 2 weeks. He is a fan of Mass Effect. He has not bought the game ( I was going to get it for him but after the **** of an ending I could not bring myself to get it for him). His wife is 6 months pregnant with their 1st child. In his own words he states he is fighting to get back to his family. We went out to dinner last night and then he came over to my apt. last night wanting to play my PS3 w/ some co-op games, fun times. Sitting on my coffee table with an empty beer can on it was my CE of ME3. So what does he do, besides throw the empty beer can away, he asked why I was treating the case the way I was. He had seen some of my posts on facebook ranting about how pi**ed off I was at the ending. So then starters the long discussion of how bad it was.

Threw that discussion I told him how the game plays out. Your choices not mattering, the friendships you develop being negated, how no matter how hard you try you lose. No “happy ending” as it were. Then I told him my personal spin on things. I said look at it from my perspective, the message I am told, the underlying theme, besides the whole war sucks thing. That no matter how hard my brothers fight their not coming back to me, their family or wives. To me that is psychologically *amming. It is an affront to what they are doing or should I say fighting to get back to. Agree or disagree with the whole affair aside, as to why they are there. The message it bring to the table is so depressing and hurtful it kind of makes me angry.

Yes, I know it is just a video game but how many things define a generation, books, movies, events. If I were to ask you, where were you on 9/11, what were you doing when you heard the twin towers fell? How old were you when you watched Star Wars for the first time? Think about it, people were talking about how Mass Effect was to be the next Star Wars, something that is toted to be a defying moment for a generation.

That is why I add my voice to the choirs of people upset with the ending of Mass Effect 3. I am upset with the massage that it brings on its conclusion. Yes, I’m upset with the plot holes, the god child, broken ending, Joker whisking your squad way for no apparent reason and running from the fight, but I’m hart broken at the message it tells me. We have no HOPE. That our trials and tribulations amount to nothing it is all negated at the end. Why should we even try to fight?

****end rant****

Okay I feel better.

It is stated in codex that turians lifespan is roughly same as humans. Which was about 80 or 90 if I remember right. Or the turians killed every old guy. Btw where is every old human? Hacket looks the oldest and he is in active service in military?

Ok, since bioware write the dam story, they could have made the ending
any combination of twists and hard choices... so I present the build an
ending machine.

Instructions- Choose two major Sacrafices, and choose two Outcomes
only one * choice may be chosen in each section  and only one ! choice

Major Sacrafices

Sword Fleet destroyed
Earth Destroyed
Relay Network Self Destruct
All Human race killed *
All advanced organic life destroyed*

All advanced Tech destroyed

Shepard Killed!
Crew killed!
Crew stranded
Always Another Way
1200 ms points
Large Fleet casualties 1200 ms points

Outcomes

Reapers Destroyed*
Reapers (succesfully) Enslaved *
Fleets Stranded and Interspecies Resource War
Fleets can reach home but galactic civilisation no longer possible
Happy ending 1200 ms points

And yes point out any problems you have with the system (apart from not being able to get the ending you want after all! )

Send all MS points to 123 fake street!

****end rant****

Okay I feel better.

Welcome to the line!  I don't think that having a happy ending is required if it were a commentary on war.  Some of the best movies/commentary on war have the worst endings.  Several past US Presidents and Russian leaders have stated the "The Day After", a horribly bleak Made-For-TV Drama from back in the 70s about a nuclear war with the US was seen by both sides and really hit a nerve. kind of made them realize that nuclear war no one wins, which was contrary to a lot of the US Military Establishment opinion of the time.  Part of the "START" anti-proliferation treaty was credited to the movie's writers for showing how important it was to disarm nukes.

At the same time, this is a video game.. it's not going out ot its way to advertise as a bleak commentary on war... last I checked we're not at war with an unstoppable force or anything of the sort.  People want to play games to be entertained.. not question philosophical endings about fate and choice and inevitability.. I guarantee if you picked up ME1 it was probably because of the RPG/Shooter/Choice aspects with a great story/graphics, not to take away questions of war and stuff.

They definitely dropped the ball on the ending when they changed the point of playing the game.

As I said, welcome to the line! Cookies and Punch in the tent to your right! :police:

not really sure of the numbers, not that it really matters when it comes down to things at this point
