I can only talk for Germany, but there a lot of people complain about the endings as well.. (you only have to look in german forums or at the german amazon to see a lot of negative feedback on it. Even Gamer journals start to mark the endings as big negative point in their reviews.

Has Gamestar yet admitted they didn't finish the game before writing their review?

Awww I must admit I haven't finished it yet, but what I have played was brilliant.

I wish I could suggest more xbox games but I'm a newbie to xbox lol.

I think it was a smaller Gamer journa, GamPro/STar only made a short statment for ME people to write them mails what they think of the endings, cause of the big backlash.. but Gamstar is a journal I wouldn't belive to much in ^^.

Nor would I. :P But their website is good practice for me, German exam coming up and all that. Actually, if you have any ME3 ending links to German articles, I'd like to take a look at them. They're bound to be much more usefull than  my text book's 'real life situations'.

Be aware though that GameStar's articles are not necessarily written in perfect German (grammar & spelling).

Also, their contests are ridiculous... <_<

Alan Wake?
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection?
Mass Effect 1 + 2?

What genre? Xbox-exclusive?
You can buy my "Street Fighter 4" and "BlazBlue", if you don't mind that they are the german version ;)

I'm looking for vocab and syntax mostly, so not a problem :P
Unlike noun genders... And dativ. Damn you dativ. Finnish has gazillion object forms, and I still have problem with German dativ :pinched:

I was watching the movie Killer Elite recently, and I found it kinda bizarre. Not for any of the reasons you might be thinking, but because of Yvonne Strahovski's role in it. Having played Mass Effect 2 and watched all 90 episodes of "Chuck", I kind of got this in built idea that she can kick a lot of ass whenever she wants. I'm not saying she couldn't play an everyday normal person role... but you really can't put her in an action movie, and have her be the only vulnerable, defenseless character in the entire damn thing. It so does not work, lol. (At least she wasn't wearing a ridiculous catsuit or anything.)

I really wants to play ME series again, but I just can't do it. I don't know why.

Even the extended cut come out... Well, I think I won't play until someone post it on youtube. I can't risk breaking my heart again.

Take heart, you are not alone.

Nearly all of us in this thread have felt what you are feeling right now, and though the wound may be fresh, there is some healing to be had here.

With that, I am off to bed. Have fun everyone, and remember:

Hold the Limes!

I think I prefer "hold the wine!"

Hang over is still better than ME3 ending. :crying:

Genitiv is actually considered to be more difficult. Lots of native speakers fail to use it correctly, if they use it at all. Commonly they replace it with dativ constructions, which is colloquial, but actually incorrect.

Noun genders are something you have to memorize, I'm sorry :P.

Danke schön. And comforting to hear it's not completely obvious to native speakers either :P
I think part of the "dativ problem" is the fact that German has two main object cases, right? Finnish has... a lot of them, all of them having a specialised function. For example, if genitive is the object, it tells a different thing than if partitive was the object. Difference as in "I shot him" and "I shot at him". And don't get me started with accusative (we have different classes of them). But we don't have dativ at all

But I digress with my off-topic. The point I'm trying to reach, is that to my understanding, dativ and akkusativ are not as strongly specialised in German, thus confusion, at least for foreigners. And the prepositions... Whenever I feel I have finally got German object forms, along comes preposition or some verb structure that just doesn't go with the flow, and boom, I feel like a fool again.

And back to the topic, I read the thred linked and wow, does that picture really exist?

Really? Genitive problematic? Either I have grasped it well, or I used it wrong all the time back when I could say "I know German" with a straight face.

And I know, genders are tough, especially for the beginners, who make 90% of my course. It's always funny when someone asks the teacher isn't there some sort of rule, and the teacher makes a face and tells the rules... (Which are more confusing IMHO than just memorizing the gender to begin with, other than loanword = usually neutral) and then says that most words break the rules anyhow

People tend to struggle with strong verbs as well. I don't get why, since we are not even required to use imperfect yet. And no one really uses imperfect anyhow, not with perfect being so easy and all :P

I guess that's one way to try to spin the outrage... And failing at it. Anyone considering getting the game would google what this reaction was, and I don't think the search results would encourage them to buy the game.
