Be careful, EA'll probably be putting that up as a collage of satisfied customers pretty soon :P

I've had a sudden horrible thought. What if they are trying to get rid of us (us being RPG players)? Certainly games like Dragon Age and Mass Effect are expensive to make (voice actors, writers, programmers and such) and market. If the focus switches to the least common denominator (online MMO ie: The Old Republic) or multiplayer shooter only with a short single player campaigne (ala COD) a company could lay off many people (whole departments in fact) because they are rendered redundant. My 15 year old son says none of his friends even play the single player campaigne in COD or Battlefield, eventually even single player won't be necessary. :crying: Someone shut me up, I'm just feeling bad.

Lol, if they wanted to do that they don't need to try, they can just make a game with no rpg elements.

That is true. What I was trying to get at though is maybe getting rid of the RPG element is in the EA/Bioware business plan going forward. They seem to have made some hard turns in the last 3 games they've put out, very different from earlier games (before EA).

Na they want to tap into that type of gamer - but problem is - those types of gamers also grow into other types; ones that like RPGs - .......

If they end up killing rpg from themselves - mass amount of people will move onto other studios -

That is also true, my son also likes RPG's but he is in a minority amoung his friends. It is true that there are other studios putting out great games in the RPG tradition.

He spent days in your bushes trying to get the perfect picture, only to realize it'd be quicker to just pull the ones off the RetakeME3 Facebook pages.

I've gone through different gaming phazes - but I always end up coming back to RPGs - I love FPS - rails - space operas *My god we need some new ones space shooters*  I mean Wing Commander bring it back - Mechwarrior is coming back :D  but RPGs - damn good ones those are remembered forever......

FPS are dime a dozen - they get forgotten - but truely masterful games like RPGs are not forgotten - I think maybe the original Civ has the most hours racked up for me - closely followed by the best RPG to date - Torment.....:D choices - dialog - gameplay........nothing comes close to date with it.....

Well Diablo - but that was because playing with friends :D

i think enough people play rpg's to justify making them, it is too large a market to just ignore.

You should choose your words carefully EA, you do not know who might be seeing them.

I didn't make them, it was a Facebook initiative for people who hated the endings. Spread them as you wish, everyone on them is part of Retake Mass Effect but agreed to be featured and emailed their pic to the creator. I'm on there too.

It's already on Forbes lol.  Lauded by the PR community, upsetting to customers/fans... whose side are these people on?

I have been gaming for a long time, don't want to say when I started ;) This is the first time, however,  that the ending of a game twisted me up enough to join a public forum to get my disappointment out there.
