The one from yesterday with the pic talking about perfect scores would be my guess.

There is a thread on BSN about it. And there is a screenshot of it on a Forbes article posted about 4 pages ago.

Oh that, It does not bother me much, Devs and marketing operate in a vacum really, whatever they are working on for the extended cut won't really be affected by what the marketing team decide to do and vice versa untill the marketing team are given infromation about the DLC to well, Market it.

Marketers will be marketers really theres not much else to do.
If the DLC is crap then let slip the dogs of war, but they will do whatever they feel they need to do to try and recover sales even if it pisses people off

Something tells me that doesn't mean anything. "Compromise" is the first word I've heard from them since... well, ever, that indicates they intend to actually do anything that the fans want, so that's not a bad thing. But everything, mainly their own words from other releases, indicates that they are not actually willing to compromise.

And the idea that they're listening to the feedback still makes me lol. Hearing is not the same as listening.

Wow, the PR spin is just... wow.

Using consumer outrage to market to even more consumers. Un-****ing-believable.

I agree that it probably doesn't mean anything.

First of all, if they stick to their guns, and go with the idea that keeping a rushed and crappy endings means "artistic integrity", there's no possible good outcome to it. Then, marketing can very well say that whatever they released was a tremenduos "compromise", a "huge victory to the fans", even if it's just an "explanation dlc".

So, I'm not holding my breath until they drop the "artistic integrity" fallacy or the "compromise" talk. It can be no real compromise when they are coming from a false premise (artistic integrity).

i'm thinking the "Compromise" thing is something they are thinking we will do. you know, give up some of the things we want like starbrat going away and getting a better ending then the dark age one that we got.

Yes... now please don't post the pic, just post a link, since if we all started to post links to the pics we find, this thread would become over cluttered with pics...

Well the compromise would be that they did not plan on or want to change the endings, vs the most angry demands that the lead devs should be stoned in public with returned copies of the game and the last 20 minutes of the game should be completely deleted, and the script shredded, and all those who read it had their eyes gouged out...

The middle is keeping the intended consequences of the endings (ie their vision) while explaining what this actualy is! Explaining the fates of all those involved, and in the shepard lives ending allowing some form of reunion with the crew

Yeah I don't really trust her.
Also she is not responsible for this stuff so why bother asking her?

They probably already consider an "explanation" a huge compromise in the first place, so I doubt they'll do much further than that. No real change is coming.

Watch for the arbitrary shoehorned in, "happy" cutscenes at the end. It won't add any depth to the game, but they will take zero effort to make, and probably shut up enough people so that they stop complaining.

Anyways, I'm out for the night. I've had enough BS from these guys for the day.

I actually do trust her, I don't however, trust her bosses. She's not in the loop as her role in the company appears to be more along the lines of damage limitation, and giving her the real info would limit her and test her (non-artistic) integrity.

Episode 17 of my MS comic now up! Hope you'll enjoy it, was supposed to be done on friday evening but life intervened. x)

Marauder Shields: Shepard's Last Foe
EPISODE 17: Believe

In this one... Joker is a leaf on the wind. Watch how he soars. Suggested background music: "Sky Titans" by  Two Steps From Hell. And yes, it's supposed to be a bit uplifting.

Open the full version here: EPISODE 17 (DA link)

All previous episodes are available at my DA profile: http://koobismo.deviantart.com - if you like any of my comics, be sure to come along and say "hi", share your thoughts, opinions, ideas, I love all kinds of feedback. :)

Always remember that the official Marauder Shields policy is: no fan left behind. :) Spread these comics around, post them at social sites, let's make a difference!

And as always... HOLD THE LINE!

I don't think anyone here wants the "explanation" dlc. It's just calling us stupid. Everybody in this for months want new endings. And the "artistic integrity" fallacy is in the way. There's no real compromise if they stick to it. It would be a false compromise if one side doesn't change anything. Just adding insult to injury is not a compromise. That's my point.

Fair enough, I also belive that some things like the godchild could be propperly explained by the DLC in some form without "Changing the endings".

People like the example of FO3 broken steel changing the ending, but if we applied what some are asking for here to that, then they would not have changed the last mission so you could send a companion who was immune to radiation, they would have just cut that mission from the game completely, but they found a way to work in their change into the existing parameters.

Exactly. Just forcing a reunion with the crew within the current ending isn't good enough. It's BS. How is it a comprimise?

Rules don't forbid it in here, it's just become a way for the massive uber thread to avoid getting too large/offtopic with pictures.  Everyone just is asked to link to them instead of posting them, keeps things bit more organized and minimizes stuff that could get the thread locked
:)

agreed this explanation of the ending is a kick to the face
if they really were listning hell if they played the ending theyd know that it was utter bullsh**
and this BS "artistic integrity" has no place in this game cause they said that we codeveloped the story
so as codevelopers we are saying change the ending this is the ONLY way to redeem this game and this company
we want what we were promised and what we payed for
