Yeah, great list.

Thing is the ending is potent as it is.

Granted its a terrible potency that makes me sick and ashamed.  But it still has all of this sort of terrible finality.

And as much as the team murders its own lore and logic, there are still some things that are kept in line.

But if they go back and say, its not that bad because this and this and this (even though it goes against the lore), then it will take away from the tiny bit of value the ending still has.

As much as I hate the ending, I can say this about it,  It is ****ing bold as hell.  Nearly everone dies, galaxy is going to a dark age, nothing matters.

Thus clarification (and chickening out) is going to actually make the ending even weaker.

Please someone stop Bioware, somehow.

How well they can explain things on depends whether they thought of any of this before the game was released, don't worry I am not trying to rehash the idea that everything was planned, but surely they must have at least made some notes on what it all means? Or am I just being far too optimistic?:?

Sure, I would think they did. But none of those truths was" happy". Now they're going to magically make them all so. I won't believe for a second if they say otherwise (if they go through with the happy ending)

I think your right that I could be more easily appeased by having a more positive high ems destroy ending, its just that every story has plotholes of some sort at the end, but most people who don't watch star wars frame by frame (no offence to anyone who does!) can ignore them becuase they were given some satisfication in what they got. Because most people were not satisfied with the ending they got to this game, plot problems surrounding the ending are going to be more picked at, and from your point of view, if you are going to fix somthing, you should fix it right and clean everything up while your at it. While from my point of view, I feel that its impossible to do it all, so they should do an excellent job in the areas they can

An excellent job in what areas though? The analogy of "polishing a turd" comes up a lot, but that's because it's completely apt. You can't keep the 3 endings, and just add to them. It can't and won't work.

It's not a matter of asking for everything to be fixed, it asking for a couple major things to be legitamately repaired. Nothing of what they appear to be offering is legit. It's one giant ass band-aid. With some unicorns and rainbows printed on it.

They did take the letters, and show a pic of them holding them... And probably proceeded to chuck them in the trash, lol. I mean those letters weren't in the context of celebrating the work or accomplishment of the Mass Effect 3 team, or anything.

I'm off to sleep seriously this time. Gotta squeeze in a couple of hours.

Back from an exciting session of multiplayer gaming. When you've got a good team that talks to each other and backs each other up, it's actually a pretty good experience. It's just a shame you can't communicate any other way (you know, by typing in a chat).

With letters I meant the A B Cs on top of the cupcakes.

you can just about

Well a way to offest the cornyness of a crew reunion in destroy is to make the other endings have a legitimate benifit for future life/civilisation which creates a dilema in choosing them in some way, rather then it being a stupid choice to go any way but red, somthing which probably would instigate the kind of "speculation" they were intending.

Anything they make could easily be jaring and tacked on becuase its not what they originaly intended. Its possible they could do more than they say publicly because they know what the problem is but just can't say anything about it. Whatever we get will most certainly divide and conquer the fans, whether its their intention or not.

Edit, and if they are going to say what happens next they do have to answer those questions even if it is going through the motions.
