I was extremely dissapointed when I discovered the majority of rescue missions just required scanning planets, oh look, I found a cruiser, oh look I found some snipers, why could we not get down in the dirt and rescue these assets.Major Swift wrote...
wait.... those were "side missions"? i just thought my shepard got a job/inherited the job of being the UPS man for the galaxy or something
Yep. This was very dissapointing.
But besides the ending, things like the lack of signaling in the galaxy maps, the lack of updates on your mission logs (maybe they thought that it would be good for us to write everything down by hand...), for example, were very distressing. I imagine that if you played the game straight for 50 hours you could remember everything. But since some of us have to work and raise a family, and the games take weeks, going back to your journal and finding no clue about where the thing is supposed to be, was very frustrating. The journals were clearly rushed and uncomplete. It would be terribly dissapointing if they don't fix it.
Again, this begs the question: Why did they rush ME3 out the door? None of us would have complained if Bioware said that they were pushing the release date back in order to make the game more polished and better. Honestly, it probably would have fixed the ending and everything else!
