@RussianOrc:
The key here is to pick your battles. As you rightfully conclude, discussing with your friends things which only you are knowledgeable and/or passionate about can get you nowhere fast. I've had the same thing happen to me when discussing some of my hobbies, such as computers and plastic model-building. It's not unlike going up to a bunch of sci-fi geeks and singing the praises of LotOR trilogy and/or C. S. Lewis's works.
Truth be told, though, I'm much more a fan of sci-fi than I am of fantasy, at least insofar as the realm of literature. After having tried DA:O and DA2, however, I find that I like fantasy RPGs almost as much as sci-fi ones (I'd actually /love/ to see an action-RPG set during World War II).
So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Goodnight, Darth Surel!What did I miss? I notice we had an underbridger show up just before I came back... The first one in... like a week?
Edit: Oh yeah and *hugs back*
I don't think you really missed much of anything. The guy who was just in here was actually the second such person holding forth such an opinion this afternoon/evening; we were polite as usual and it seems that they did not wish to contest the point further. Ah well, their loss.
I've also been playing some moar multiplayer ME3. Hey, it passes the time!

Lol i find funny a great deal of the people here play the MP, but many feel the need to explain themselves , like it was bad or something

I don't mean to offend but I have to wonder about these friends of yours if they don't respect your opinion. I told my friends and while some did think that asking them to outright change the endings was a bit unreasonable they also stated that they'd take my word for it that the endings were that bad just by listening to me and seeing how much of a fuss this has kicked up around the internet.
For all the references to broken steel DLC I didn't even know it was an "ending fix" till someone flat out told me. Whereas with Mass Effect even non Videogame players, let alone non ME players have heard that the ending sucks/has pissed alot of people off.

Lol i didn't mean it to be personal, it's just i've seen about 6 persons today say they were "playing MP, BUT [some random reason]". I just thought they didn't need to point it out, since it seemed it was more for themselves than for the rest of the community.

I hate to see it that way, but it is the only end that makes sense, now their explanations have been pathetic. The whole thing is, Reapers remove resources from the planets, doing so makes evolution impossible, as planets will not grow new resources, look at our earth, the oil arguments. Javik telling Tali during his time Quarians were the masters of their own planet, how'd they not fall to the reapers, no way they respawned without the question of why didn't the Protheans come back too. We did get the answer for others who survived, humans were cavemen, and Salarians were lizards, leaving them safe from the reapers.

It's hard for me to see it that way since I don't accept malevolent unstoppable beings, the Protheans lost because they lacked strength through diversity, the reapers exploited this, the Protheans fought the war by attrition, they deliberately sacrificed entire planets in an attempt to slow the reapers advance, Javik will tell you this, the reapers took the resources from those planets and used them to defeat the protheans, whole planet populations turned into husks to fight on the next planet.Maples01 wrote...
I hated the ending, it's indoctrination, but am starting to understand it, every 50,000 years each group fights to stop it, they lay seeds or time capsules to warn the next group, who overlook them until the last minute for an all out assault in vain. The Protheans were far more intelligent than any of this heard and they were reaped, so needless to say it is going to happen, everyone goes out fighting, Shepard leading the fight. All the download content will likely be to show you how it happens, help lead up to it, but never will come to stop it, after all, you'd not be here fighting them if there was a way to destroy the reapers and/or stop the process.
I hate to see it that way, but it is the only end that makes sense,
