Yeah just ignore the YouTube people I am positive people only go on there to be under bridge dwellers and act like nasty little dweebs. They are probably all 12 year olds lol.

Seriously, what is it about the word "free"?  People tend to lost it when they hear the word (I know I often do). That the extended cut and multiplayer DLC are free, that can be used against the cause. It doesn't begin to adress the actaul issues we have with the ending, but hey "you can't complain if it's free!". They're not trying to reach out to us, that's an attempt to shut us up.

Wasn't gonna post, but this place is too awesome for that. And despite the few opinions to the contrary I don't think now is the time to sit back and get complacent.

+13983725, or to requote from the other night, it shocks me how often people's brains stop working at the word "free". There's almost always a hook behind things that are given for free. In this case it's on the front and being brandished as a weapon.

Not really. There was a lovely piece of advertising put out the other day (you can find it at the end of the first post in this thread) that upset a lot of people. That's all I can remember.

I make your words mine. Couldn't agree more..

Every time we hear "it's free" it just comes to my mind that though we are not spending money on it, the end cost will be a lot higher than if we did..

As it stands, I'd rather pay for the new endings DLC and afterwards be done with Bioware/EA than to get this "extended" DLC which I know beforehand won't address the issues we have complained about, and hear them say "we did what you asked, so you can't complain anymore", which is exactly what they started to do already. Not to mention that I will be done with Bioware either way, so it seems they lost at least one customer for good and only because they refused to acknowledge their mistake and undo it..

It actually rubs me the wrong way. As if they throw us a bone and then intend to react offended at their insensetive audience that isn't pleased - even though Bioware/EA are so devoted to their fans to give them free content.

In fact I even ignored the Resurgence pack completely, even though I did play in multiplayer prior to that.

As soon as it was announced it was free some pro enders came out in force and using some quiet vicious language and saying that it's free and we shud shut up but some of them can't say what they actually liked about the ending.

Personally I don't think it's just the ending that's broken. Large aspects of the game feels rushed and corners cut in the development of it.

I am ignoring Bioware/EA completely. Even games I used to play prior to this situation I refuse to play now. I gave up playing every single I title I own from those two companies and cancelled my 2 SWTOR subscriptions, and I just don't care what new games they release, I don't trust those companies any more and won't buy from them until this entire situation is fixed. And if they don't care enough about their customers to fix this mess they created themselves, I just won't care anough to buy from them ever again.

Yup, I agree completely. There's a hell of a lot of things where it feels like they gave up and half assed it. But it's the ending that goes the furthest. Without it, the game wouldn't ruin the entire series. Without it, I would say it's dissapointing, and easily the worst game in the series, but it's still a game. With it, I would say it ruins everything the story was originally based on. With it, it turns the entire series into one giant joke.
