As it stands, I'd rather pay for the new endings DLC and afterwards be done with Bioware/EA than to get this "extended" DLC which I know beforehand won't address the issues we have complained about, and hear them say "we did what you asked, so you can't complain anymore", which is exactly what they started to do already. Not to mention that I will be done with Bioware either way, so it seems they lost at least one customer for good and only because they refused to acknowledge their mistake and undo it..

I can understand them not admitting it if its a shareholder issue. But other companies have admitted mistakes in the past and their stock went up, IIRC. The only way we will know is when they release the DLC. We will see if they admit the mistake or not.

So realistically what can we expect from the extended cut dlc...It seems that we will get to see our war assets in action in cutscenes and that that is how they will begin to actually customize the endings to each player...but what else can we hope they fix (that is realistic)???...

They HAVE to include ME-2 characters or at least the ME-2 LIs in the memory montage. If they don't do that, I'll probably trade my game in.

Maybe an explanation why joker used a mass relay
Depending on the color you choosed some short movies what garus, liara and co are doing now.
But no new ending, and even i get closure here i want an ending where i win (or at last have the feeling that i won)

i dont like it either..... what was your worst part?

When I first finished the game, I only had 2533 EMS. So I knew that if I could kill the Reapers (which I did) I probably wasn't going to survive. But upon seeing the Mass Relays blow up, I thought "dammit, I didn't do enough, I failed". And then I got really confused and empty after seeing the Normandy crash land on that planet and seeing that Stargazer conversation with the miniature adult model posing as a child (look REALLY close, it's an adult body).

So I said to myself "Ok, you gotta get a crazy high EMS, you have to make sure you get Legion and Tali to make peace and do more side missions, find those obelisks. That way, you can see Miranda again". I truly thought that was possible.

Played the game a second time, got an EMS over 6500.....Mass Relay's still blow up and the video montage rolls and still no shot of Miranda, not shot of Tali on Rannoch or Grunt with his troops. I was so confused....AGAIN. That's what was upsetting, that after playing the game a second time, experiencing the weak writing for Miranda TWICE, and having to talk to that hologram child again, I now felt like "Tell me this isn't what I paid for". Do you know I even watched the full credits (on the 2nd go round) thinking that "Ok, you'll get the breath scene, but maybe you'll find Miranda or start shooting Reapers"......nothing....those stupid Stargazers came back again....

Everything from the end of the Thessia mission to the end of the game makes no sense at all.

The worst part was the feeling of hopelessness. Like, it's all over. Everything's gone. Nothing matters.

Just a giant kick in the balls.

Right. I tried to play the game a 3rd time, but I once I get to Palaven, I feel like "ugh...I dont wanna play anymore".....

I've played thru ME-2's main story 7 times. SEVEN! I always know how it'll end, but I keep doing it anyway.....ME-3 has no such effect on me....

I don't like the ending of the game

I hate the ending too, The thing I hate  the most is how hard they failed the bitter sweet ending..... It just made me appreciate games that got it right in a great way and left me emotionally satisfied unlike the ME 3 ending. Some of those games are:
Persona 3 FES, MGS3, MGS4, Read Dead Redemption, Final Fanatsy 10 and Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core..... And I got a sensical ending that did not feel detached from the story in all these games.

Afternoon all! Hope everyone's well! Anyone played the Resurgence multiplayer stuff yet?

To me it seems a bit low that , YES, they release it for free, but the stuff included is pretty cool it will make more people spend REAL MONEY on the Spectre Packs...so they're probably making more money from releasing it for free then they would have by charging for it...IMHO

I spent loads of time getting 99900 credits last night and got a Krogan Soldier which is pretty cool. No Krogan Vanguard, Asari Justicar Adept, Batarian Soldier, Batarian Sentinel, Geth Engineer or Geth Infiltrator though

There's a problem with the system they use though: it's flawed beyond compare. Look at some of the other games out there, let's say, Halo reach, Call of Duty and Gears of War.

Each of these games boasts a PvP multiplayer with around 10 different major gametypes, all of which are editable for customized games. This keeps the players readily on the game because when they are bored, they can change gametype from, say, deathmatch to capture the flag. Then all of these games have a completely different mode, a survival mode, which is essentially half-multiplayer, with teams of human-controlled players going up against vast amounts of AI controlled enemies, in other words, exactly what ME3 has, but bigger, more customizable, and in the case of Call of Duty, even has special missions on the side to play through with a friend. This gives a player a bombardment of options, meaning that they can simply change to a different game mode and the gameplay will change. Mass Effect, however, has a single mode, with three seperate types of challenge every 3 waves, no randomized enemies and of course, nothing else. This means that the life of the game is too low.

Having a low game-life is bad, almost terrible, as it means that no matter what you toss out, people will be bored to death with it before the week is up. In other words, no matter what characters, weapons, maps or enemies they release, they won't do a good job of doing exactly what the DLC is intended to do: revive the game. Because it's so simple, the playability is shambolic, and means that people will get bored so easily that in future, they just don't buy the DLC because its boring.

Worst part is: they've cornered themselves with it, it'll be virtually unfeasible to add new modes into the game, or revamp the multiplayer to extend its life. Imagine buying Halo Reach, only to find that the story ends rather qucikly, and then all multiplayer modes are removed, except for one, which is basically firefight with only 5-7 different types of enemy, on one map, with only one round (5 waves), the game just doesn't have that much playability to it, and then there's no other modes to re-attract attention to it, adding new weapons and new characters doesn't extend game life enough to be viable, and a map will get awfully boring the moment you know all the defensible spots and enemy spawns.

So, not only is the singleplayer dead, but the multiplayer is going to be dying awfully soon as well. Unless of course, they manage to save it, but then there's still the issue that there's a lot of unhappy fans who won't pay for anything until you give them what they want, not something different.

*End of Contribution*

Lol, it was my wedding anniversary this weekend so I figured I should probably make an effort Image IPB
But I have returned to the frontline ready for action bearing many baked goodies. So there haven't been any more tweets that people have read into 12 different ways? I still find it odd that BioWare is remaining so closed mouth about this whole thing.

Ah yes, he's the guy who said that the series belonged not only to him but the fans and that he wasn't going to do any more Babylon 5 because it wasn't the right thing for the fans, cast etc?

Morning Phoenix glad to see you back.  Have a good weekend?  As for anything exciting, I don't think so, but then I spent most of yesterday trying to setup the new laptop so I wasn't on top of everything.

Like I previously posted, I had a bunch of Mass Effect encounters on occasions I did not even thought about it, like rading a programming book, or some game review about a completly different game and gametype.
So I was watching a movie yesterday, called Open Water 2. The movie itself was weird and not really that good, but I saw Ali Hillis acting in that movie... (for everyone who doesn't know: Ali Hillis is the voice actor for Liara)
It's starting to creep me out....
