That's nice, good for you.

I personally seriously doubt it will be anything but sh*t

Star Brat? Stays
Normandy Abandons you? Stays
Mass Relays Blow Up? Stays
3 coloured explosions? Stay

As Angry Joe said, basically everything we hate about the ending stays.

What games with great stories do you guys think ended great? Even after almost 12 years, the end for "Skies of Arcadia" still has me shedding tears. That is perhaps my favorite ending.

i liked the ending to final fantasy x (note to bioware: that is how bittersweet is done)

oh and im back Image IPB

That its gonna be partly what we need, of that I have no doubt.

They know they can't afford another major ****up like this one again. Or they WILL go down, BADLY.

And I don't think its even possible to screw up this ending any more than what's been done. It litterally hit rock bottom so from here they can only go up.

I really do not think its possible.

Welcome back to the line! Very true. That was a great ending (well until FFX-2 ruined it). That game proves you do not need a complete "happy ending" in order for it to be very powerful. The reason why that worked was because of narrative cohesion (thanks nerdrage videos!!!)

Read the whole thing (5 links), it's worth it.

That was sooo good!

It captured a lot of my thoughts on picking the red ending (pre any spoilers).  Red seemed bad because I believed the star brat at the time and didnt want Edi or the Geth dead.  But I still picked it because I had to remember what my goal was.  To destroy the reapers.

Great art! (disclaimer: The word art is being used in a positive sense)

Hey people! How's it going this afternoon or whatever it is in your timezone. So what did I miss today? Any startling revalations or did anyone riot?

You all didn't kill anyone did you?

I'm baaaack. Hmm games that ended well.. DAO as others have said. #DAO SPOILER WARNING# Yes even though it was just a bunch of slides to cap it off, that worked for me. By going that rout, you can give far more detail than if you tried to do everything in cinematic form. They could give interesting details on even somewhat minor characters you meet. It also goes a long way towards showing your impact on the setting, making you feel more heroic which is ultimately what the genre is about. I really don't get why people will spend hours online reading, yet go nuts at.the prospect of two minutes of reading at the end of a game.

I liked how if you lived, you were given some choices on what you wanted to happen next for your character. Whether he wanted to travel or go with this or that companion/LI. What boon you want from the queen (some of which have huge impacts on the setting.) They left things open enough to further adventures yet also gave a suggestion of what the Warden would be doing for the rest of his or her life, based on your decisions.

...that is until the end of DA2 kinda screwed that over, even for the Warden, and decided to invalidate your choices for what he'd be doing after the game ends. That kinda ticked me off. Not as bad as ME3 but... yeah

@Tami, lol i really don't know i guess DA:O really is on top now that i think of it, i liked red dead redemption, was totally not expecting it to end like that but it worked, Halo Reach was pretty cool/ and at the end with how they let you go out, L.A Noire was alright as well, Portal 2, could go on forever lol
