What I don't get is how the posture from BW didn't change with some troublesome facts. The game sold well in march, but far from what was expected. And in their rebuttal of NPD, they never said that "the game did wonderfully, better than expected, we are very proud etc". They are clearly taking the ending debacle into consideration (as well as its effects on the sales). And they should.

And there's the overwhelming impression through a range of sites and forums, that BW tried to hard to please a far too wide audience. Their games are starting to not please rpg fans (their core base), and are not the favorite of the action crowd. And while they could blend those elements well before, now they just lost hang of it in some things without clear personality. And it's taking its toll.

So, isn't the best thing they could do to come forward, admit some of these things, offer reparation in the form of a new ending for ME3 and the promise to try to focus more for future titles? What I don't get is how arrogant can you be to shut it all up and fight reality to maintain that everything is just perfect and that they are making the future?

They should follow the old adage: one step back so they can take two forward later.

I did. And I hope it's just not another sign that they will deal with problems by eliminating negative feedback, or not responding. I saw some threads getting locked in a fair way, but some seem to be just a new decision being enforced. Hope it's nothing but a bad day for some threads. And not for this one.

Current information states that regardless of which ending you choose, regardless of whether or not Shep lives or dies, the Normandy crew gets stranded on some random world without tech, Shepard will never see them again, and the galaxy by and large is completely boned for the next 200k years or so without any kind of good spacefaring tech.


To which I just want to say...why? After so many years of giving us control, why jerk it away from us at the last second just to force us to get a "bittersweet" ending. Not that I mind there being one present, and I'd use one in a playthrough, but not ALL my playthroughs.

Myself, I didn't care, beforehand, what the situation would be after the credits.

I'm fine with how things stand after the credits roll.

What I am NOT fine with was how poorly written and plot hole filled the moment I get knocked out by the beam just before the Conduit until the moment the credits roll.

I just wanted a well-written and internally consistant ending to what was, up until I woke up from the beam at the Conduit, one of, if not the, best stories in gaming.  I felt I got the opposite of that, which is, quite simply, the worst ending to an enjoyable story, in any form, that could have been written, and one which went against things very specifically stated by Bioware people pre-release (the ending won't be a generic choice from A, B or C from Hudson and our choices from all 3 games would factor into the ending).

I felt I was lied to, and then given something that feels like high school drug-induced fan fiction.

Haha, I didn't mean as in a "let's stay on topic right now" but just in general. 

But answering your quesiton: I was disappointed there was no purple ending. I mean, they could've at least changed the colors a little...RGB, really? That's like the TV colors. <_<
