I want to thank you for your post tonight.

I hadn't finished ME 3 until this past Saturday, and had been actively avoiding all spoilers until I finished. I was not able to avoid the knowledge that many were upset about the ending, though I was able to completely avoid any specifics of why - the God Child was a complete shock to me, and in my WTF?!?! mode when he showed up, I actually didn't even know which choice I was making (I picked blue because in my mind blue meant "life"), and in the immediate aftermath of the game, I honestly didn't even care what choice I made.

I was not upset by the state of the Galaxy after the credits rolled, but I was stunned at how amatuerish the ending was, with the Deus Ex Machina God Child, my choices along the way mattering not one bit, Joker fleeing like a coward (as far as I know - it is not explained), and not knowing the fate of anyone other than myself, Joker, and in my case, Liara and Javik.

I am actually still in a bit of shock at how atrociously bad the game was, and as a gamer, it's been 48 hours and I haven't played anything since. I did try to play ME 3 multiplayer (which I think is fun), but I was only able to turn my Xbox on, but instead of loading up ME 3, I rated it 1 star, removed the disc from my machine, and shut it down.

Edit to add:

I guess I should clarify - it's the post with the links.  This thread moves fast (6 pages since I started clicking on them and reading).

I was unaware of exactly HOW untrue things said by Bioware pre-launch were.  Shocking.

It's a bit hard to stay optimistic when all we have is speculation and false promises.

That said, certain assumptions feel safe, such as it would make sense for them to try to appease us with detailed character specific epilogues (whatever medium they may be in) to try to make up for everything. Also, if this is true, wouldn't it also make sense that they would provide room in the EC for new eventualities (i.e. if the stars align and they overhaul Jacob's romance... somehow, and make it all better?)

Meh, it's all speculation, this is my best attempt at being optimistic. Being a business major, optimism isn't my forte'. My apologies.
